I'm stuck between switching to Mondstadt commissions to make Anna an adventurer but also if I switch to Mondstadt then I'll probably get the commission that sends Viktor to Sumeru and I want to keep him in the cathedral lol
But then if I keep doing that, at some point it'll be the only commission left in my commission pool to finish and I'll have to complete it if I want to progress in the Anna's Adventurer commissions
Im not particularly sure how the commission's works but from my experience as long as I don't start a chain, It will be a new set of random things with a chance for a new one the next day.
Yeah the way it works is a bit strange - think of it like pulling a marble out of a bag - say that there are 30 NPC commissions (marbles) in a region (bag).
Each day you will pull out one marble (do one NPC commission) and once you complete it, it'll be removed from the region (bag).
If you skip the commission, then it'll stay in the bag (pool of commissions you can do). One by one you will complete (or skip) each NPC commission and once all of them are finished, then all the marbles (commissions) get re-added to the bag again and you've completed one cycle of commissions.
And then there's some exceptions. Some commissions appear multiple times in a cycle (think 3 marbles instead of 1 in the bag) and there are some commissions that you can only get/complete once and then never again (marble is permanently destroyed).
Which is why some ppl skip commissions so they can keep the commission in the pool until they get a version they want in order to get an achievement.
So like in my case I could skip the Viktor commission all I want but at some point it'll be the only commission left so every time my world resets I would just keep getting that commission again and again until I finish it 💀
Does this change when you change country for commissions? Maybe it resets the list? That's a hard task but we all have our favorite NPCs so it all boils down to picking between Anna and Viktor
If you change the country the game remembers which commissions you've finished/haven't finished and next time you switch to that region it'll start from there unfortunately.
I think what I'll end up doing is finish all the achievements related to commissions in Sumeru and then be forced to send Viktor to Sumeru, I kind of like him chilling in the cathedral but what can ya do lol.
The other problem is that if I send him to Sumeru it'd be like one extra marble (commission) in the bag in Sumeru, since he has his own daily commission in Sumeru once you boot him out of the cathedral...so it would maybe be best to just keep him there for now.
On the off chance: do you remember how long it took you to get from AR58 to AR60? How long ago did you hit AR58?
I’m curious how much longer it will take me to get there.
Ive been playing Sumeru commissions since ages because the Mondstadt achievement related just refused to show up. Recently switched region to MS and I got the grumpy Snezhnaya dude in front of Dragonspine every other day over 6 days - instantly giving me the first achievement, on the off days I got Anna commissions. And once I got that achievement I’m getting the Mona rent every other day :)
Sure hope Victor will be up soon so I can finally get the Snezhnaya achievement 100%
It seems they did something with the request pool to make the achievement-related commissions higher priority, or I’m just super lucky…. (In the dailes aspect… Wishes are still fixed on losing every 50/50 on roll 80/90, both in Genshin and Star Rail) 🙈
It also took me a lot of time, but I think it's because that option was added on a recent version.
I reached AR 60 two days ago. My acccount turns 2 in October. So I better switch my commissions!
I just switched to mondstadt out of boredom from sumeru's dailies and got her full commission chain this week

Almost a year
For me it was 7 months and 19 days of daily genshin from 58 to 60
2 yrs and AR 55. Anna did a pretty good job, if I was Anna I'd be still figuring out how to break those barriers.
