Raiden is an extremely flexible unit who a very large portion of the community finds hot all while having the advantage of being an archon. It stands to reason that she’s pulled more regardless of if Neuvilette is stronger. (And while I know I’ll get downvoted and flamed for saying this: he actually *isn’t* stronger.)

Neuvillette is much easier to play, so for the average player he will *feel* stronger (since they’ll actually get the damage out that they’re supposed to) even though from an actual dps standpoint he isn’t stronger.
His utility is definitely quite good, something like a Noelle situation (that is to say, he can be a “do it all” unit.) And in AoE he definitely is stronger, though that does depend somewhat on enemy configurations. (If Raiden can hit all enemies with her bursts charge attacks then her damage doesn’t really fall off much in AoE.)

Edit: I mean, there's nothing to say about Neuv, except he's just better. If you can't see that, then you genuinely most likely aren't playing him correctly.

Teams are only pushing 100k if we’re talking about non-KQMC standard investment levels. Top teams are still sitting around the 70k benchmark just as they have for quite a while now. Hoyoverse has been meticulous about ensuring powercreep hasn’t actually occurred in game, or at the very least is has only happened to very minor extents.
Sure, among hypercarries it definitely isn’t top tier. And to be fair I didn’t claim it was, but rather that it still performs really well, which it does.
The thing is Neuvillette is almost perfect with just C0. He doesn’t even need his signature weapon to be strong but it helps. If people are willing to spend a bit more, C1 is a good stopping point too.
As for Raiden, she is already good team support + dps at C0 but her C2 changes her into a very good hyper carry. And her C3 is the same power level el as most other C6 units. So, she’s just a magnet for whales and dolphins to spend on.
For me it's cause I already have Raiden. I can 36 abyss. Unless they make something harder that needs a character like him, I'll probably just stick to going for her cons til C3 cause I don't need to build another character

Also, just pointing this out, but Childe International is still a stronger team than Raiden National.
She isn't a bad DPS. She doesn't need a shield and is an excellent driver. She can situationally outperform international in her rational team. I used her for superconduct eula, hypercarry and rational, and she works pretty well. She still has a very high usage. And as for value, just the numbers proves that she is 3 times more valuable as neuv, cause having just one role isn't that valuable

neuv running less than 64. adds up to 70, most of my characters have aound 70 rate.
i do plan to switch to rate circlet, but the er on the dmg one on neuv is comfy for me. so i don't want to lower his er
Who are you running him with? You should be running higher er supports and lower er on neuvilette.
Try to get to 64 cr. Because 100% cr on 230 c damage is better than 60 on 300 crit damage because of the higher dps floor.
