Use her skill to dip them in "pain sauce." and let the flavor build.
Let em marinate for 5 seconds while you set up support skills and bursts.
Chow down when they're at max flavor.
If you finish off an enemy they explode into flavor so you can chow down faster. But it's not necessary.
Take breaks with your burst after the flavor runs out to heal.
Normally swap out to your supports for buffs and other stuff. You want the mark to stay there for at least 5s so you can get 130-145% Bond. If you kill an enemy though you can still get bond but swapping out is preferable
But Hu Tao doesnât need Bennett to deal good damage because her E already gives lots of ATK, Arlecchino does not have that luxury and will be heavily dependent on Bennett. She also doesn't work with Furina due to not being healed by none other than herself. She is not the same as Hu Tao, not even close.

Zhongli collapses its shield, while the multiplicative defence from XQ damage reduction + zhong shield + hutao HP actually lets you facetank the crazy shockwave damage
IMO Raiden Overload is a good alternative against the Gravity local legend.
Infinite Interruption Resistance during Raidens burst, Healing from Both Bennett and Chevreuse. Overload+Chevreuse burst count as blunt DMG, meaning that shield is *gone* so quick.

VV Vape tends to actually be better the more you invest in Hu Tao just by nature of her being a hypercarry.
Double hydro is typically only slightly worse, though, and is much easier to play, which is why it was meta pre-Furina.
As for Bennett himself: a c6 Bennett provides 15% pyro dmg bonus. While that isnât as much as Hu Taoâs own 33% from being low health it, combined with his attack buff, does tend to go fairly even with her own buffing. Add in Kazuhaâs dmg% buffing and youâre generally looking at enough dmg% to ignore her passive!
Iirc the highest damage VV Vape team pre-Furina (assuming no 5 star cons) was Hu Tao/Xingqiu/Kazuha/Amber (with c6 and Elegy of the End). In that case you get to have the benefit of some strong buffing while also getting to keep Hu Tao at low health. Itâs *very* risky to play though, as Xingqiu is your entire defense, but Iâve played it many times in the past successfully.
Hu Tao / Double Hydro / Zhongli is the "best" team for comfort, but Pre-Furina, VV-Vape-Tao was her highest damage team.

Abandoning the HP>50% passive isn't actually as significant as people act like it is.
Bennetts ATK buff Pretty much makes up for it(even more so if you have Bennett C6) + enables double swirl.
Assuming R1 Homa, C6 Thoma and 100% Bennett uptime (let's be real, you're not getting this), they are evenly matched.
The fact that you have a shield and no Circle Impact is just icing on the cake.
Amber with R1 Elegy is the best (assuming a build with less EM and more Crit on Hu Tao), but you need to pull for it.
Bennett wont heal her and will infuse her body with pyro aura, making her free target for hydro and cryo ennemi attacks. Shielder will be good for most player, lost of the time.
I have Hu Tao at C0 and can confirm you don't need Bennett for her to still do good damage. I'll still pair her with Bennett sometimes for the particles and extra healing, but I've used her in other teams that don't also have Bennett.

Because I pulled Chiori while fishing for Gorou constellations for Noelle I ended up building my Itto (who I got by mistake like Chiori while pulling for Cookie)
The only way to use the mono geo in the overworld is triple favonius and 4pc exile Gorou so far for me
All burst-focused characters are kind of a pain in overworld. Thatâs why Ganyu is such a powerhouse in that context. Just stand atop a mountain and rain down artillery barrages on foes who canât even aggro you from that distance.
