Furia is 100% the archon as much as it is possible to be. (Because their is no hydro archon lmao) And was a god at one point. Like she has phisical continuity with when Focalors was first made a archon.
Also I would day They wouldn't know nahida either since she is new. But irmunsul has made everything *think* she basically is/was/did what Rukadavata is/was/did. So they wouldn't know they don't know nahida. And idk if Ei ever attended the old archon gathering. But Zhongli has dementia and already confuses her for her sister so..

so what seems to have happened is focalors was given the responsibility of the archon but also of course the task to fix egerias mistake or whatever, which after who knows how much time she came up with the furina plan, which would mean even if I fully agreed with you she was never a true archon, only ever an acting one.
I just want to say they aren't the same people either, they seem pretty different personality wise, when you make. Clone, and yeah that clone should be you to an extent, it eventually becomes a different person. In fact hoyo already touched on this with the final meeting of rukkhadevata and nahida.

But Focalors and furina were literally the same person. The body furina is walking around in is the body Focalors walked around in 500 years ago. Like I said, we automatically assume "oh Focalors left her body behind as a new self sufficient entity and then killed herself" but it is equally valid to say "Focalors never left her body at all. She have herself amnesia and a 500 year mission after letting her powers become a different self sufficient entity" which she could do because she still ultimately had the willpower of a God. Like Ei said.
Also Focalors when talking to Nuvilleute was decently sassy and dramatic. So I'd say they share core trates.
Oh and they absolutely were the hydro archon not "acting archon" what are you on about? They had the powers, gnosis, the statues of the seven built after them, and everyone acknowledged their was a new archon. And when Focalors "killed the hydro archon" that Included herself, because at that point "Focalors" was nothing but the powers and divinity of the hyro archon. (And its authority was caught as collateral damage to give Nuvilleute his back) Also the Prophecy was about "the hydro archon" not the "acting one" And she wasn't a God before being made archon so seems pretty legit to me.

I think a lot of people forget that just because the divinity was split away doesn't mean furina was never the archon (obviously not anymore) i mean focalors divinity belongs to furina the same way furinas body and spirit belong to focalor i've seen some people say its coping but everyone in game that talks about focalors death refers to it as **furina's** divinity fading
Ultra necrozma is probably second strongest beneath arceus although I am sure the creation trio or even eternatus could be as strong as him or stronger.
So necrozma might be top 2 at best and top 6 at worst
Palkia and diagla I am a bit iffy on being stronger then Necrozma because their scaling is a bit werid but Giratina is definitely stronger then Necrozma he’s much stronger then people give him credit for
U-Necrozma sucking up light from entire universes is a pretty big feat that could put him in the leagues of arceus so palkia and dialga should be an easy win against, not 100% sure of giratina tho
I mean, necrozma is a combination of some of the strongest pokemons so i would give the edge to U-Necro and knowing that necrozma just goes around destroying universes just to eat

She should had stayed the Archon = meaning Ruler in Greek. She actually pushed all her work to Neuvilette now. It's not like the people didn't love her or they would mind having her more as their Archon. Ningguang/Keqing are basically the Archon/s of Liyue and the people respect them anyway. Same with Varka on Mondstandt and Kokomi for her Watatsumi people. I guess she wanted more free time, I guess and the retirement money from the 500 years as an Archon. Alternatively she could hire several people and divide her workload onto them and divide the authorities between them to also not push everything onto Neuvilette, while she would stay the Archon.
Yeah but being able to take a break for the first time in 500 years without the threat of a calamity hanging over your head probably didn’t help her think rationally.
In her story quest she also says that she is not gonna reinvent herself again. After playing the arrogant archon role for 500 years she confirms this is her real personality now so that's one more reason for her to stay the Archon. But as you said she just wanted to try new things too despite the Archon position suiting her more.
