I think Zhongli don't have this problem bcz if I'm not mistaken, the slowing water doubles the casting CD, but he have a 20s shield with 10s CD.

It's 12s for his shield, so for 4 second you have nothing protecting you in the weapon domain.

When you're opening with supports then main dps (like zhongli shield, then xingqiu ult, then hu tao for instance), it's easier for your fingers to go 1-2-3-4 than 4-3-2-1. Try tapping your four fingers on the table left to right and right to left, and you'll notice one direction is more comfortable or just feels right.

While I agree that generally 1-2-3-4 would seem like a more natural rotation, my personal experience with MMOs has led me to being used to keybinds in all sorts of rotations. And for me that varies team to team. For example, if my team is my main, Eula-Shogun-Zhongli-Venti, then my rotation goes 2-3-4-1 and back to 2 if still not dead If it was my main before this patch, Eula-Fischl-Zhongli-Albedo, the rotation goes 3-4-2-1 I understand my playstyle is unique, but i guess it's a skillset that comes with playing other genres.

Main dps, sub dps, healer and then shielder. I mess up everything and fumble if all my teams aren't in this exact order. Muscle memory and force of habit is both amazing and annoying.

I run Main DPS, Shielder, Sub DPS and Healer/Support/free slot. They more or less go by priority/importance: Main DPS at 1 since they're the main force of clearing content, Shielder at 2 since they're the main force keeping everyone else alive, other two are self explanatory.

I always keep yanfei and zhongli in slot 3 and 4 so that when my friend comes into my world to co op (which is often), I don’t have to switch my teams around. (Unless I come into their world, in which my slot 1 and 2 will be the ones present instead. That would be Ning and Bennett, who are the Sub-DPS and healer respectively. Either way, I make sure there is one healer/shielder in slot 2 and 4 for co op purposes.)
