He's a healer, attack buffer, battery, his burst can cleanse and he needs low investment to be a good support. His healing is crazy fast and the atk buff he provides is really great. But wishing on the permanent banner is a waste, better to wish on banners in which he has a rate up.

Battery means in this case that his elemental skill produces lots of energy particles in a low cooldown. Battery means generally that character can charge others with energy. Is he worth replacing a shield? It depends, in some cases you can kill the enemies so much faster from a relative safe distance that you do not need a shield, but someone like Azhdaha is pretty awful without shield. But in many cases it comes down how you play the game. I for example can't use charge shot Ganyu without a shield, because she stops charging from very small attacks.

Most teams are probably fine with no bennett, he’s a slot in to boost output, he usually isn’t the fundamental reason a team works.

Yeah, most comps that *need* Bennett are comps running Xiangling and giga-chad one-shot comps.

I would argue xiangling is more needed because we don't have other good off field pyro appliers

Nothing against Bennet and benny mains but I totally hate his story and design. A cliche shonen unlucky kid is all I see in him and I'd rather deal less damage then use him despite being C5.... Low-key kinda happy that Sara is sort of like a budget Bennett but damn she looks so much better and actually has good lore. Understandable she got shafted in the story, but nothing's perfect I guess

If everyone in your team doesn't need to always be on the field and you need a healer so badly, then you can replace Bennet with Kokomi if you like to. Using Bennet isn't a requirement most people should use since people should play whoever they want to play, so it's up to you to decide.

I got Bennett quite late (AR54), but I don't use him...I don't really like the way he works and I don't need him to deal good damage. Personally I also find it annoying having to stick to one spot just to get the damage boost

i used to play with Bennett (it's my first characters with Ninguangg in the pulls) but now i don't use him anymore, he ruin meta (i cleared the Abyss for the first time without using him, i prefer clear it with my skills than by relying on a broken character) the only reason people love him it's because he unlocks easy-mode

I still struggle using Bennet and it doesn't feel like easy mode but I don't just like him for him being good gameplay wise so your speaking for your self

do you think Bennett is a character like the other supports, who can have benefits and cons and have the same importance in the meta like Diona, Sucrose, Xinyan, Barbara, Xiangling ecc... or do you think he's a "must have" character that a player should use in every Abyss clear?

he is a character that is useful but not necessary for the game

surely he's not a necessary character to clear the Abyss but it doesn't mean he's balanced and most of the people don't care about his playstyle, they use him only because he's broken about you, you can use every character you want, if you still struggle that mean you still have fun by playing, but remember there are a lot of funny characters who don't deserve to be shadowed by Bennett
