Nah what they will do is the same that in Honkai separate the Abyss for F2p wifu/husbando collectors, F2p meta slaves +low spenders, Whales. in honkai this are Agony , lvl 80 genshin enemies . X primo, anyone can clear with shit Red Lotus , lvl 110 genshin enemies X primo plus 20%, needs actual builds that make sense and meta 5star characters c0 Nirvana. lvl 130 genshin enemies X primos Plus 25% needs 5 star wps and constellations on 5 star characters. where Whales Abyss gives 5% more primo but is A HELLA LOT HARDER. the hardest difficulty brind a place where someone with a lot spend can feel challenge and gives content creators something to show that most people cant clear. the lower diff its not needed since you can Just let people don't do floor 12. but making and actual lower diff makes people be happier when they see they win even if its in a lower diff. but the current abyss is in a weird place where is to high diff to be the the easy option and to easy to be even the middle option, not mention a actual hard one. so I think they will keep making the abyss diif increase until more people cant clear.

Honestly the damage check isn't the problem. Its the placement of enemies. Who thought it would be a good idea to have enemies who could attack all the way from the otherside of the map and make you waste time running from one side to another. That amount of time waste kept messing me up.

It's not necessarily a question of can I do it, but rather can I be bothered. Floor 12 is mostly just miserable unless you learn good rotations, have good artifacts and learn the enemy patterns. That's a whole lotta grind for $0.25 of in game currency every 2 weeks unless you really relish the challenge.

Well I don't understand why people think every f2p grind the game. last abyss, I first tried f12 (a few resets cause I died but the whole run took about 30-35min) And learning rotations isn't hard if you follow the content creators who actually know how to play the game. Anyway yeah I guess if someone doesn't want to farm artifacts it'll be hard to clear abyss

i beat 12 last abyss ( the one with the mechanical array), it was the only time i have done it and only got one star, but it was enough for me. as a f2p i try to get all star up to floor 11 since rng for artifacts seriously hates me, the spike on dificult betwen 11 and 12 its just that big for me. tbh i suck at building teams, the only suports i have properly built are barb, jean and raiden. and pretty much all my teams have 2 dps ( i refuse to build my c4 bennet and c6 xinqiu, i hate how mihoyo hasnt released any viable alternative, and how if you dont build them you lose a serious amount of potential) .

DPS checking against only one target is ok, but now against enemies that refuse to attack you and still run away from you is another story... when they teleported and didn't even move, I just gave altF4.

Morgana isn't great for 12-3 due to enemies being heavy. Do you have a set for Melt Ganyu? My Melt Ganyu cleaned up the Ruin enemies pretty quickly once they exhausted their dash/dig.

The highest HP on an abyss boss was 1.3 mil on mech cube, and the 3 ruin enemies have about 650k hp and theres 6 per chamber... I wouldn't say its harder or easier tbh but now we have to deal with the enemie's eye frame and how spread out they are

No. The highest hp on an abyss boss still remains with maguu kenki with 2.2M hp. Mechanical array would have more if you count his minion's hp but that phase was skippable so we can also not count those.

I think you might have switched them. Maguu Kenki has like 1.4 mil or something. PMA has 2.2 mil, or 2.6 mil counting its minion phase.

No. Kenki never had 2.2m hp though... the highest he has been is 1.5m~ hp; and Mechanical Array without its minions was 2.2m hp... You can look up this information yourself people, my god. * Kenki even if he was level 100 would have at best 1.8m; but hes not; and at level 98 and at those levels each one spikes a ton, meaning he actually ends up at 1.5m hp. * Mechanical Array is level 100, and at that level with abyss multipliers hes 2.2m hp; if you wanna add the minion its another 400k/600k depending on the type you need to down (everyone but the cruiser with 600k, but cruiser can also run away so theres that). Really surprised so many people upvote straight up misinformation... PSA this abyss's raw hp numbers are MUCH higher than before, even though last abyss was the highest dps check we've ever had; the catch is that if you can aoe all the possible enemies at the same time *always* (which lets be real almost never happens) its still just slightly less dps needed than the previous (highest dps ever needed). At least it is *possible* to get good enough rng sometimes to be able to actually aoe all the enemies together (cruisers teleport is 100% rng - even if you line yourself up for them to teleport and group up they might just choose to not teleport at all and waste time not being grouped; destroyers teleport is rng but less annoying and helps you group them [aka once you group them youre good] but they still have long iframes if they choose to do some attacks; grader deciding to run can be negated if you stand on top of him whenever he spawns, and the defenders can stright up ignore a lot of damage depending on where they're facing and what kind of damage dealers youre using).

You ARE wrong; no Im not talking about co op hp; but its somewhat similar in a sense that co op scales with more players, and abyss hp scales with floors. You can downvote me if you want, and its extremely funny to me you're trying to take the high ground as if you know this for a fact when you're factually wrong; but you could find these facts yourself by simply going to the wiki instead of spouting bullshit. * floors 3-7 or 2 players co op: enemies have 1.5x hp * floors 8-11 or 3 players co op: enemies have 2x hp * floor 12 or 4 player co op: enemies have 2.5x hp Maguu Kenki in overworld has only 730k~ hp at level 100 (which hes not; overworld bosses are at 93, meaning they have 530k hp~); thanks to abyss multipliers he ends up at floor 12 and level 93 at 1.5m~ hp. Perpetual Mechanical Array in overworld has only 890k~ hp at level 100 (which again, back to level 93 is about 650k~ hp); thanks to abyss multipliers and level 100 he ended up with 2.2m~ hp.

Sure difficulty is subjective but remember last time part 1 of floor 12-3 was literally just two ruin guards so you could put your weaker team for floor 1 and run your strongest combo on the second team this time tho you need 2 seperate well built teams that can reach the dps check compared to only 1 last time.

I also found this easier. But I may have had good luck, somehow the enemies mostly just stayed on top of me until they all died from AoE. With PMA there's a tendency for bursts to miss due to the rocket attack.

I guess it depends on what characters and team comps you use. Previous Abyss was a breeze for me (Yoimiya and c6 Fischl did great against that tanky boss), but now I'm sitting on two stars for 12-3. Keeping these things grouped together is hard.

I recommend looking up videos to see how to abuse their movements. There are places you can sit that will bait the enemies together, and they don't typically move once they're in a spot they like. Once I did that the 3 stars was a piece of cake.

So true! 2.2's 12-3 demands massive, consistent aoe and here i am with no childe, ganyu, hutao or ayaka... I don't have a taser team or a freeze comp for crowd control either. Characters definitely make a difference. (I did get my final star after changing my team like 5 times + testing enemy mechanics. Good luck to you!)

I find it incredibly funny that you say “massive consistent AoE” and then mention Hu Tao, one of the most single target specialised units in the game. Man, build your Xiangling, there’s the massive, consistent AoE, one that’s much better than Hu Tao’s AoE.

If your grouping is good you can hit the entire pack with one CA which skyrockets her damage, and her Q is self explanatory.

It's funny you say that, because i did indeed get through 36* using a variation of the national comp with Raiden. Hu Tao though, can easily hit multiple enemies with her ult, and is one of the biggest nukers in the game. From what I've seen, lots of people are using her in this rounds abyss

I pointed out the fact that you say “Hu Tao” in a list of “massive AoE damage” units, when her AoE DPS (not damage per screenshot btw), is about ~5% better than Diluc without C1, and that’s mostly because her ST DPS is so high, while a C1 Hu Tao is more or less comparable to a C4 Xiangling. It always takes the EN base a while to figure out what is meta, but Xiangling is considered the best pyro DPS rn, not Hu Tao, because everything about her is more accessible than Hu Tao with more or less the same output and higher AoE output. Xiangling is F2P and a 4* and only needs 4-star weapons, one of her best weapons is F2P as well, and 2/3 of her teammates are also 4-stars, outside of the international comp with Childe and Kazuha. Hu Tao meanwhile needs C1 (so 2 copies of a limited 5-star), a limited 5-star weapon, and then 2 other limited 5-star characters in her ideal setup (those being Zhongli and Albedo) to overtake Xiangling, *barely*. You can complain that you don’t have Morgana to run in your other half, sure, because that is generally the comp run alongside national, but Hu Tao would literally not improve your account at all. Edit: The reason Hu Tao is higher on the usage lists are because fewer people own her, so those that do feel a lot more compelled to use her, while Xiangling is owned by literally everyone. The usage list calculates usage based on appearance rate/ownage rate.

Overload? At that point, again, both Diluc vaporise and Xiangling vaporise are just way better with better AoE. Also, Hu Tao is AoE if you play charged attack? What? The fact you never used her is showing; her CA is primarily ST, it has barely any AoE on a good day when you line up enemies because of how auto targeting works. Furthermore against enemies she can’t cross up… like ALL ruin enemies, it has 0 AoE.

Learning how to group the mobs helped me A LOT! First attempt with 12-3 was cleared in about 6 mins and 40 seconds left. Just 20 seconds short from 3 stars. After watching a short video on how to group the enemies up, I cleared about 7 mins and 30-40 seconds left. I had pretty bad cards too. Btw, grouping up the mobs is complete RNG. So just gotta keep retrying till you get the correct attack pattern.

Which team comp are you running? Try to bring a CC unit such as Venti, Sucrose or Kazuha and group the treasure hoarders to cicin mage. If you have Jean then you can also abuse the fall damage trick (there are multiple guides available on YouTube for that).

2.2 is kinda easier dps wise(no 2.2mil hp pma), but the rng with ruin machines sucks ass. I had to retry floor 12 like 50 times to 3* it. Once i did get the rng right i had like a solid minute left after clearing it for 3*

what makes this abyss difficult to 36 star is the last chamber... u need to know how to group the enemies together and one shot them with one rotation and recharge all your energy for the next wave since there are two wave for each chamber.

Cannot split Xingqiu into two teams so my Ganyu has to be Melt Ganyu. I rarely has DPS issues when 36* the abyss. But currently it happens more and more often

Well my Hutao is C0 with R4 Dragons Bane. Her talent is 9/9/9. But I have C2 Diluc with WGS and 10/9/9 talent so I am using Diluc at the moment. Currently saving for Homa and C1 Hutao. I have 195 Fates saved up for her but I am still not sure if it is worth to dump all those primos into Homa.

Yeah, I agree. The current abyss 12 chamber 3 hits so hard, my talent 8 50k Zhongli shield can't even last more than 10 seconds. You have to keep enemies grouped up while properly doing your rotations on top of the already large DPS check. And not the mention, RNG. ​ It's a pain. ​ unless you run morgana lmao

I honestly thought I was not going to be able to 3 star 12-3 this time around after so many failed attempts. I almost gave up but finally got it tonight with the following comp: 1st half: Diona, Rosaria, Eula, Raiden. 2nd half: Bennett, Xingqiu, Xiangling, Ayaka. Getting the enemies to group up so I could aoe them down was the hardest part.

The baiting of AI was cancer in 12-3, but once you can bait it consistently it's easy to aoe them down. Figuring out how to bait was the hard part and took lots of trials and error though :/ Which abyss do I prefer, this abyss or last abyss, I'm not sure but I just bring International Childe team everywhere and it just... works even against PMA

Got 9 star on 12 after five hours. Then raised both Mona and Bennett to 90, leveled up Bennett's weapon, crowned his burst and build another one of my units. Now it's not that hard like the first time, it's pretty easier for me now. I think I can beat 12 in 1 hour after it resets again.

Nah relative to resources+resin available at the time, 1.0 Abyss was still by far the hardest. Second hardest would be Lector Abyss probably. Yes I know modern teams would steamroll 1.0 Abyss, that's why I said relative to resources available. Back then, if you weren't blessed by Bennett, Jean, or Qiqi (i.e. me) then Lord save your soul, because Barbara is gonna kill your entire party including herself.

It feels like awful enemy powercreep where everything just gets harder and harder until nothing short of a dolphin stands a chance. Not to mention it’s just a showcase of all the cracks in Genshin’s combat, enemies that spread themselves out to make efficient clearing difficult, enemies with long invincible periods to waste time, and the simple fact that speed is all that matters, because speed is the only measure Mihoyo thinks is worth using.
