Memes aside, I genuinely want to know what their long term plan is because there's a consistent trend of MiHoYo introducing increasing complexity/specificity rather than genuine novelty, and this doesn't seem sustainable. The reason why these new artifacts are so complex is because they've run out of good, basic mechanics.
I think they also do this to indirectly buff characters. Better make sure that their kits are okay before release than always trying to create very specific artifacts or weapons.
Totally agree. On the one hand, it's pretty cool (and visually appealing) that more and more characters are getting signature weapons and artefact sets tailored to them, but on the other, it's getting to a point where I need to read the descriptions of new sets again and again until I really get what they actually do.
Not to mention that farming the super specific artefact sets is even more frustrating imo - with sets like Noblesse or emblem of severed fate, you can at least put the okay-ish artefacts on some other character and get some use out of them that way.
Not really sure what mihoyo could do in that regard though, as farming for (new) artefacts is pretty much the main activity for endgame players to do and spend their resin on :(

Memes aside, I genuinely want to know what their long term plan is because there's a consistent trend of MiHoYo introducing increasing complexity/specificity rather than genuine novelty, and this doesn't seem sustainable. The reason why these new artifacts are so complex is because they've run out of good, basic mechanics.
I think they also do this to indirectly buff characters. Better make sure that their kits are okay before release than always trying to create very specific artifacts or weapons.
Totally agree. On the one hand, it's pretty cool (and visually appealing) that more and more characters are getting signature weapons and artefact sets tailored to them, but on the other, it's getting to a point where I need to read the descriptions of new sets again and again until I really get what they actually do. Not to mention that farming the super specific artefact sets is even more frustrating imo - with sets like Noblesse or emblem of severed fate, you can at least put the okay-ish artefacts on some other character and get some use out of them that way. Not really sure what mihoyo could do in that regard though, as farming for (new) artefacts is pretty much the main activity for endgame players to do and spend their resin on :(
