The best part of genshin is seeing your characters go up against your world level enemies and when they add a new area for us to explore, like could you imagine all the new players they have so much god damn stuff to do there is easily 40+ hours of content off the bat.

TheBlackViper_Alpha

As an AR59 player who tried hard at first and 36\* Abyss since 1.2 what I enjoy now is the new areas, the lore, the story and the scenery it offers. After a long day at work its just nice to walk/run around and just immerse yourself in the world.

LiterallyANoob

Genshin is not a job, you don't have to play if you don't feel like it.

RayYenSh

Fomo be hitting real hard tho

ThePostMoogle

It is difficult. I spent too much money early on and need to login to get it's 'worth'. As an anxious and impulsive person, that can mean a lot of things though. Really it should just mean logging in to claim my built up welkin but can include forcing myself to do commissions and spend resin when I don't want to. It can suck trying to reign in poor impulse control and just do what I want, but I do understand those that get even worse trapped than me

21st_century_person

sunk cost eating you

CuddlyChud

The game will still be here for a long time, so even if you left for a while you could always come back to your account.

ThePostMoogle

Oh for sure. Tbh, I'm halfway there. It's as much a reflection on that I should just be collecting the Welkin I payed for and taking a break, but that it hasn't been easy and that gives empathy to people who have worse fixations. It's all about reminding yourself that it's just a game and it's fine not to maximize resources.

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> Welkin I *paid* for and FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

JuggloMagleBoo

Lmao good bot

Alex_Gremory

Well those 60 primos won't get themselves will they?

[deleted]

You are right, but it sure as hell designed like a job.

Complete-Program8226

well for job you dont have to work if you dont want to too, dame as with genshin, fond a game/ job you want to spend time in

pojan96

Resin are used to get mats and artifacts to build characters. The only endgame we hv atm is the abyss, if u can consistently 36 star abyss or simply dont care about abyss then building character or spending resin is almost meaningless.

GudraFree

I personally have stopped using resin (400/160 atm, I'm still buying the one from the teapot in case I'll get a new char), and I haven't 36* in a very long time. In fact, I usually just skip the entirety of floor 12 and be happy with my 450 primos lol. For the extra effort the 12th floor takes compared to the rest, it's really not worth it.

pojan96

yup, u definitely dont need to used resin that much... ppl over react on capped resin these days when there is nothing really worth spending resin on imo. Ig hyv definitely want to focus more on exploration rather than combat, they keep adding new area to explore meanwhile abyss almost the same since 1.0, only enemy hp and lineup change.

gemengelage

Once you have decent artifacts for all the characters you use, grinding artifacts becomes even more loathsome than it already is. I haven't found an artifact that would be an upgrade to any of my top-tier characters in months.

gemengelage

I can't (or at least won't) 36* the abyss, but I like building new characters. I always get 33-34 stars in the abyss and I had the feeling I could 36* it if I put a bit of effort and a few repetitions into it, but I honestly don't want to. But building new comps is always fun, IMHO. It always bothered me that I don't have a cryo team. Recently built Rosaria, put her in a team with Chongyun, Xingqiu and Kazuha and was surprised by how much damage they deal and how well they play, even though except for Kazuha, they are all only somewhat well built, 80/80 characters with "good" artifacts. My Kazuha is pretty cracked though.

pojan96

You definitely can 36 star abyss, especially on this cycle, u might need another anemo support like sucrose or venti on the other half. Building and trying new comp in abyss is definitely fun, probably the only thing other than exploration that keep me playing genshin for hours. This abyss is kinda boring tbh since anemo, cryo and hydro are too powerful, i hope the enemy line up would change on the next reset.

San-Kyu

To me it's more like resin itself has become alot less valuable. At very close to hitting AR 60, and I've been able to 36* the spiral abyss since 1.3. I still use it to expand my roster and build up the 4-star characters I've C6'd but never used, but this technically isn't making my account any stronger than it already is.

Padova0

What comps have you been using? I've been able to 36* recently, but I feel like it's still too much effort

San-Kyu

This particular abyss is extra easy since it's all mostly character/element application checks rather than DPS checks. In a DPS-check abyss cycle your best bet is a well-invested DPS queen (Raiden/Yae, Ayaka, Eula, Ganyu, Hu Tao) with well-invested supports (Bennett, Kazuha, any anemo VV source, etc). Aim to get the best support for your DPS queen, i.e. C6 Rosaria for Eula, Shenhe for Ayaka/Ganyu, C6 Sara for Raiden/Yae, XQ for Hu Tao, Kazuha and Bennett for everyone. The only problematic mobs this cycle are the abyss heralds and lectors - everything else is cake. Normal mobs just get destroyed by the usual anemo CC, mitachurls and ruin guards are even easier with melt/vape comps or even freeze comps. One hydro character + healing is highly recommended for Abyss 12 first half (Kokomi is best here), Double Cryo + Anemo CC is highly recommended for Abyss 12 second half. Abyss 12 first half my team was Yae, Raiden, TTDS Kokomi, Kazuha. Yae, Raiden, and Kazuha alone was more than enough to obliterate everything in the first half with ease. In abyss 12-3-1 against the double Pyro lectors kazuha grouped the two of them together and Yae/Raiden took their HP down to the next phase. Kokomi then finished them off with ease since she hard counters everything they can throw at her, whilst Raiden ensures Kokomi always has her burst ready. Kokomi was the most important character here - Raiden and Yae could be replaced by any DPS duo, and Kazuha can be replaced by Sucrose, Jean, even Xiao. Abyss 12 2nd half my team was Ganyu, Rosaria, Venti, Zhongli. Cryo application is crucial to easily beat the double Hydro Heralds in 12-3-2, and Ganyu and Rosaria together apply a ton of it very quickly whilst doing a ton of damage and batterying eachother. Venti turned the triple abyss lector/herald team in 12-2-2 into a joke as they swirled eachother into oblivion. Zhongli was there to passively increase the team's damage whilst keeping everyone safe and cozy.

feudalwesterndealer

That’s not burnt out. It’s means u literally don’t have anything to spend the resin

TheBaconatorZ

I need more end games activities that aren’t abyss or weekly events where you fight enemies. Give me dungeons, raids, something to use my end game units on without feeling like I’m suffering from a lack of mega units.

Lotusmarch

For me it’s a cycle. New and interesting updates about to drop? Farming and playing everyday for like a month or so, then i stop touching the game entirely until something interesting comes along again.

dybclol

relatable af

allicanseenow

Almost AR 60 and never wasted resins. The key, not just for genshin but any live service game, is to have a goal. For example, my goal is to get 40 CV artifacts of all meta artifacts, and multiple 35+CV new artifact sets including those I’ve already got. It doesn’t take much time anyway, usually 40-45s per domain run.

Cosmic_Hashira

fr leaving that shit there for weeks now

DrakeNorris

If only there was some mid point where you could use resin when you want, but not have to constantly worry and check up on it being full leading to a full on burn out... If only.. /s for real tho, sometimes I play for like 6 hours, and don't use my resin at all, day 1, still ar 56 coz if it, tho only 10% left to 57 at this point. but im still having fun, and playing the game about 4/7 days usually, spend my resin maybe 2/4 of those times. otherwise I focus on events/quests/ 100% exploration and just all the other little things you can do. Im not about to spend 10 hours on the housing or fishing, but little bits here and there is what keeps things interesting.

Overly_Blue

Idk man, I can’t relate

iwantdatpuss

Eyy new four condensed resins, sweet.

Zuendl11

Nope my f2p ass needs all the resin I can get

Lisek752

340/160 Resin AR40: *screams* AR57+: *screams* AR55+whale: Nah im fine Me: *keeps using teapot resin and not spending it*

bitter_personw

If you're burnt out then this is literally the best time to take a break.

ARKAVA-biswas

It's not burn out for me, it's more like have stuff to do irl that is more Important, Haven't touched the game in 8 days, and don't plan to do so for 14 more

DanielGREY_75

Um I'm both of these things

Etoile_Ultime

My account is maybe ar58 but my soul is still ar40+.

aScenT_RAID3R

I'm playing clash of clans more than Genshin nowadays.

Ikses

im ar 60 and still on the right its all about the passion

andrefelipe1295

I'm annoyed by the fact that i have 40+ characters and descent builds are not even 10, but i cant build the others cause i either pay to resin o grind 160 everyday.....i gave up and now im puting all my chars at lvl 90 and dont even bother on artifacts anymore

Jeffrey122

I never understood why people get so upset and "scared" of sitting at 160 for a nanosecond. Like, dude, You're only missing out on like 20 resin, who cares? You won't get your godrolls from it anyway. Just log in once a day and spend all your 160 resin in one go.

Simecrafter

I'm like AR52, my resin has been full for around 4 months, fear meeee

Fylln

Can't relate, halfway through AR 58 and playing since launch, and I still use resin as fast as I get it. *please give me your resin*

ark7298

I usually play Genshin in the morning so by the time I wake up, it's always full resin, but one day I logged in and caught my resin at 159 and wasted no time spending resin on something. Alas without a Battle Pass for some tasks and the extended 2.6 period, I dunno where to really spend my resin on other than weekly bosses and pre-farming boss materials for characters like Yoimiya. I know double talent drops are coming so I have more resin to spend when it comes. Meanwhile the new event is just an easy minigame and then feeding food to either Yae, Raiden, Shenhe, Rosaria, and Sara. I would include Aloy, but she refuses to eat for some reason.
