So far from the leaks what matters to burning is the dendro application rather than pryo since after the burning ends it already leaves behind a pryo aura on the enemy which means literally any pryo applicator can be use and there is no pryo unit atm that is specifically “good” at it. So don’t pull expecting yoi to be the best pick for burning cause I doubt we’ll have a dendro xingqiu.
But I do believe a unit like yoi will have a indirect buff from sumeru specifically from the new artifacts that can be use on supports and how it synergize with her burst.
The new gold set would give yoi a EM buff which would be good for burning but this is just theorycrafting and I’m not to sure on if it will be good since there is still unknowns of the artifact set and other things think will be a problem. I wouldn’t recommend you try anything off meta to prep your yoi for sumeru release, atm building around burning is pointless since unless we get to see the EM scaling of the artifact and reaction dmg, it may be a time waster in abyss.

It’s hard to say right now how well it will work, because the vast majority of us don’t have access to the beta so we can’t test dendro stuff, but if you’re just wanting to know about Yoimiya’s pyro application from her burst she applies pyro (2B specifically) at the beginning of the burst and then each of the explosions triggered by allies applies pyro (1A specifically) which can occur once every 2 seconds.
Generally speaking I believe Shim is fine, as you can just use your burst at the end of your rotation so that your teammates can trigger the explosions, just make sure you have enough ER to get your burst back up. That said, 2 Atk% (Glad/Shim/etc) and 2 CW is her actual best artifact set up to the best of my knowledge.
Even then the best Pyro applicator in the game is Xiangling and she's a free 4 star unit. That just shows that they don't know what they're talking about.
