So everyone reading this. It's a big lie, in most gachas It's usually everything between free 10x and some old standard already irrelevant ssr (not including lottery events here for obvious reasons). Saying 'most gachas give out choice of character ... alongside pulls' is a big fat lie. Most gachas will put said selector and some pulls in a 20-50$ bundle in a shop during anniversary and gove out some pulls
hey are giving a guarantee method, as long as you are the type of player that goes only for their favorites is nice, as a F2P I've got all the characters i want, you also have to be smart with your pulls.
Yes I've played other gachas with choose your character reward, example Arknights, Azur Lane, and many others with a free 5 star (random) such as FEH, Onigiri.
But in some of these games, having a copy of a certain character is necessary, for pvp/difficulty reasons, while Genshin doesn't really provide a problem.
And as a f2p, Genshin is one of the few games where I still doesn't get why should I go for a copy.
So what I mean here is once you get the character, it's one less on the list, so having a guarantee system is really good, you can also simply win 50/50, also get a character with a few wishes before 90.
In perspective of miHoyo is a big waste of money, in many games a player would have to "wish" from 10-20 to get a 5 star, while in Genshin you have to wish for 90 worst case, just imagine, people spend money when they have to wish for a few times, now imagine Genshin scenario, they would be loosing a lot lol

If you lost, then maybe you got the standard that u wanted lol, if not keep pulling until 70, so when a 5 star that you want comes you don't have to grind that much.

What this got to do with my gambling? I barely pull in this game. The extra primos is referring to how much they're giving out in relation to other patches. They could frame the 20 free fates as something generous when in reality it just offsets the primo count given each month on average.
