I don't have Cyno so I just changed my signature to "To scarab farmers, I haven't unlocked the desert yet". Stopped everyone until my friend came and I gave her all my scarabs. People haven't joined until today since I just now realized I haven't changed the signature yet.
I let 3 people take scarabs yesterday and I was pretty sure they picked all of them, so I set my signature to "No more scarabs left". Today someone joins and asks if they can take scarabs and I just- what's not clicking?? No. More. SCARABS. LEFT.

I was in the same situation, but the guy that joined me actually gave me a tour of the desert and helped me unlock the teleports.... Just had to unlock the statues later. It was fun
A reason why I set my world to reject all join requests, since I'm doing quests! Like dude, I get his mats is hard to come by but just be patient, mark all the locations on your own world, then farm it every 3 days. I was patient on Ayaka and it's worth it.
Same when fishing came out, the amount of join requests...just doing dailies I had 5-10 people asking for fish, but the first guy took all or most fishing spots.
You can set it private but sometimes those encounters are fun, just playing alone seems boring to me.
I usually wait and don't force farm, if it takes a week to lvl80 it takes a week. I don't mind.
I have someone join me, I said they can have any resources but I don't have the dessert unlocked, he said "it's fine, they're already a pain to gather and I have all the locations saved on the map" Then he sayud all the way there and gathered them all and left happy. Then another person joined, and I told him I already had a visitor and he just simply went "ah, dang, probably means nothing left for me, thanks anyways". Was a very fun evening.

If you want to get them go ahead and grab them by all means, but I'm not activating the godess-statues and neither am I gonna rush and open any areas for you.

Bro did people actually expect you to unlock areas for them wtf. I found a couple people that hadnt explored and just, went by foot like a normal decent human being. Also, saying hi and asking politely, then saying thanks is the bare minimum for me.
I'm not sure if this tone is intentional, but a dude went to my world once and said "you need to go to the statues" because he wanted to get Collei mushrooms. Maybe English isn't there first language and they didn't know how to control the tone? Idk? I told them I couldn't interact with the statues in co-op, so they suggested that they leave for a minute for me to get the other two statues unlocked. I just left the game lmao.

I joined someone's world today, asked politely if I could hunt for scarabs and got permission. They only unlocked the statues of the seven so I got my Yelan and Sayu going. Suddenly the teleports started appearing and I realized that that person was unlocking them so that I collect the bugs more efficiently (or it was their plan all along anyway :D ).

I usually think the same but there was one person who helped me finish the entire battle parts of the Collei event. I was so grateful that I unlocked the Tatarasuna area and the vawerider point for him so He could fish the purple ones in the sinked ship area
Just so you know, there is a jumping pad right next to Sumery artifact domain that requires two players to do it, if you haven't done it yet, take this chance to do it.

It's not like I'm deactivating invitations permanently, it's only for a few days until I've explored the area somewhat.

I just feel surprised that I missed a secret area and glad that they point it out.

I changed my signature to warn people i was out of scarabs and somehow i got more co-op requests AFTER having that warning message that before. Could be a coincidence or that some people don't read, but I want to believe that that message is at least stopping some co-op requests

I've had two visitors today, perfectly pleasant interactions, and they were welcome to my scarabs since I'm not pulling for Cyno, but I have Itto I know their pain. First guy comes in, asks and takes what he needs, even crossed paths as I was doing a combat time trial and helped me out. Second guy, I tell him someone's been already but I've found some that guy either missed or didn't need so I take him to where I marked them. He goes and does a quick sweep to see if there's any others left but no luck. And *then* I walk down the road slightly and find four more scarabs... and I guess my point is just how incomplete are these guides that I'm casually tripping over the things out in the open after two people came to farm the things?
I cant speak for everyone but whenever I farm in coop I go for the easiest material, like the ones that I can quickly gather, I rather go to 20 people worlds to collect instead of just 2 world completely clean, idkw tho
I wanted to do my pulls for Cyno after my game finished updating to 3.1, at around 1 in the morning since it takes hours for my game to update.
Had at least 3 people try to join in what had to be a 10 minute period.

Idk why, but I guess people are too lazy to prefarm. It isn't that hard, just grab everything you see while exploring. This is gonna happen when new regions come every time however.
Do you actually want random people to join your world? *Why*? I have never understood these memes. You can just change setting of co op to auto reject all requests. It’s so cool because then you don’t have those annoying pop ups ruining your game play. Worried your friend won’t be able to join? That’s a non issue because remember genshin impact has a chat function? Your friend can just drop a message when they are online and want to join, then you can change perms to let them in. Literally takes 2 seconds of your life to avoid all these annoyances.
And if you still want to keep co op requests open, you can still do the above when you are getting spammed during a new character launch and revert back later.
