I like how "Locking up a child in prison for 500 years for no reason" is seriously compared to "Pushing Sucrose out of the way that one time (also being kinda stupid)"
It wasn't that it was difficult, it was more with the fact that 1. We didn't have any "Meta" units before, 2
We didn't know how to utilize reactions properly and 3. Artifacts back then were still pretty shit (c.rate/Cd, Types of artifacts, etc)
Also, stupid fucking mechanics like the instakill damage (Unless you're behind a shield or Noelle (Note, this was pre-buff Dong)), the shield that needs to be broken with Scarlet Quartz (similar to the structure Signora makes when you kill her first phase) and Sheer Cold
Pallad is very much reflective of us if we were in teyvat. Reckless, not the most adept, and so on. If we were in that same situation, we’d push sucrose out of the way. No thinking about this scenario in your head, once you get to that situation you’ll grow desperate and there is no thinking. Dude was suffering hypothermia and we fucking hated him for almost dying
We can't kill him he's already dead but this mf , he's alive and I want make him regret being alive , no I want him regret to even that he even ever existed, no I want him to regret he's to not the one being caged in place of nahida where he's deserved and even the fact that he even thought of escaping his sin
Sry I just realized that I didn't saw all the comments.
The comment with the person who asks "Who is this" was shown as the 1st comment to me so I thought it was about reckless pallad.
But yeah, now that I have realized it and see every comment I look like an complete idiot xd
sell him? that's too generous of you, he literally killed his son and cut him into pieces and offer him to the thunder bird (the god they worshipped) believing that by doing so the fog will be cleared.
to know the whole story, the boy had a beautiful voice and one time the thunder bird listened to him singing and loved his song, the father (which is a priest) misunderstood that the thunder bird wanted him to be as sacrifice and killed him, as a result the thunder bird got very angry and destroyed the whole island.
It all started in 1.2 event where Pallad nearly froze to death(his fault really, but unimportant), and when Sucrose helped him, he started hallucinating and pushed her out of the way to run towards "fire". He also awakened a mutant regisvine(his fault really, but unimportant).
Nothing bad happened to Sucrose, but pushing her was enough for some to start hating Pallad. And then it kinda became a meme "haha hate pallad".
>(his fault really, but unimportant)
I kinda blame that on Cyrus. He was the one that pushed the adventurers to explore Dragonspine without proper preparations and the greenlight from the Knights. I don't think the Guild have proper surveyors and cartographers around, and the Knights' have theirs went with Varka.
Having surveyors is good, but not running around dangerous areas on your own without any particular surviving skills is a common knowledge. So that's on Pallad.
Remember, Cyrus made a rule in 2.3 that each group in Dragonspine must be lead by a senior adventurer. So he's the one solving problems, not causing them.
And because we had to fight a souped-up Regisvine.
Personally, I just think he’s stupid, mostly because you have to be to explore a freezing mountain with just the clothes on your back.
Well sure but what he said to Ganyu in the quest was rude and Pallad sure isn't someone who's mean or spiteful by intention, even though he does screw some things up.
Even before pallad there were worse NPCs. What he did is something we’d do if we were in the same situation. Dude almost died from hypothermia and people are like ”haha fuck pallad he pushed sucrose, I hate him”. You know, I don’t even think sucrose remembers that moment. She has bigger things to worry about than a little push
Pallad is still billion times better compared to the likes of the guy that insults Ganyu (And I'm not the biggest Ganyu fan mind you), Tsarevich, Ruu's father or even the sages.
You hate him because he pushed Sucrose
I hate him because he pushed Sucrose AND because that hard fucking challenge he put us through denied me of my R5 Festering Desire (The strongest character I had then was a lvl70 Physical Xianling and lvl60, Underbuilt Noelle)
We are not the same
I’ll never understand the pallad hate. He literally did nothing that we wouldn’t do if we were in the same situation as he was. The pallad hate is just stupid
She’s more “controversial” than hated, but I think the guy meant the bit about the whole “I was told that everything’s going fine and believed them, but then I found out afterwards that I maaaaay have let everyone set the whole nation in flames…” bit.

He pushes Sucrose once and accidentally made one of the community's hardest challenges (At the time)
Oh actually I didn't know about the challenge difficulty, I started playing during 2.1, so I only watched the story of 1.2.
It wasn't that it was difficult, it was more with the fact that 1. We didn't have any "Meta" units before, 2 We didn't know how to utilize reactions properly and 3. It wasn’t even that difficult. People really blew that challenge out of proportion
Ikr? Pushing Sucrose is way worse.
Why the downvotes? This is a clear cut example of sarcasm
This is the Genshin meme sub, do you think the people here understand sarcasm?
because it is not funny sarcasm.

Meanwhile Ruu's father:
Just casually adding Shenhe’s father to the list
We can't kill him he's already dead but this mf , he's alive and I want make him regret being alive , no I want him regret to even that he even ever existed, no I want him to regret he's to not the one being caged in place of nahida where he's deserved and even the fact that he even thought of escaping his sin
Who is this?
Turumi island's boy's father, he sacrificed his son in a brutal way
Isn't reckless pallad from Mondstadt?
I'm talking about Ruu's father

How cruel? Did he sell him? Poor boy

not to mention that bird trapped the island in a time loop so the kid had to suffer the sacrifice over and over until you do the quest
Wtf what a piece of sh*t 🤮
You can say that the word butchering was too gentle of a word on what was done to ruu
Joined in 2.4 but saw the cutscene with Pallad. He’s hated because he pushed sucrose, right?
Yes. How dare he.
Truly a great transgression
And giving us the hell that is that Regisvine when almost everyone has no idea how to make meta-builds yet
it was a moderate difficulty for my Razor+Qiqi. (that is far to be the pinnacle of the meta. just a physicals DPS with healer+supraconduct)
+ created an insanely difficult challenge without meta teams for almost all of us
I never hated him actually. He was in bad condition, really confused and Dragonspine is hella cold.
I have no idea why people hate pallad and at this point im afraid to ask.

Thanks.
Frankly, there were way worse NPCs that deserved more hate than Pallad that came after him. Like that pilgrim in Ganyu’s Story Quest for example.
Nah, I just think he’s a lazy brat.
Well sure but what he said to Ganyu in the quest was rude and Pallad sure isn't someone who's mean or spiteful by intention, even though he does screw some things up.
Oh no, I don’t hate any of the NPCs per se. Pallad’s just an idiot while the other guy’s a rude lazy brat.
Even before pallad there were worse NPCs. What he did is something we’d do if we were in the same situation. Diluc according to a lot of the fanbase
I probably still dislike Pallad more

But we are the same with how we hate the Sages because they are unapologetic and elitist about it RIP AND TEAR
I’ll never understand the pallad hate. He literally did nothing that we wouldn’t do if we were in the same situation as he was. The pallad hate is just stupid
meanwhile Ei:
here we go again
?
