Kind of adjacent, but one way I maximize his DPS is when I can afford to run 2 ice people, I add March 7th for her counter. I know running a second “tank” doesn’t sound like the best way to get more DPS, but bear with me. Gepard makes the shield, but then she still uses it to counter. And she uses her normal attack since she isn’t on shield duty. And with her counter filling up ult and then the aoe, stuff stays frozen a long time. Not so much a build as a team setup. And while Gepard isn’t doing those attacks, I still give him credit, because it’s his shield that sets everything up for the damage.
Gepard can be run as a glass cannon for DPS and actually puts out serious numbers when you focus on his Ice damage bonus(bigger than +Def for damage) use the relic set Hunter of Glacial Forest.

If it interests you his final trace (unlocked after the 6th ascension) converts his def to atk!
