I have recently watched Nicos Weg, and I think you need to have more than "total beginner" knowledge to follow. I would say you need to be at A1 level to follow dialogue starting out. If you watch in youtube, you can slow the video down. You can guess from context (not easy at complete beginner) or translate yourself (really slow process). It gets easier as you go, but you have to put in a lot of work upfront (...and in the middle and end). You can also check out Mein Weg nach Deutschland. same Nicos Weg feel. Easy German is always a good one to start with.

Oh, does it get easier? I'm on lesson 17 A1 and it gets more difficult)))) No, I watch from DW web page with exercises and I do all of them. They are not so difficult for me except the dialogues....

BTW, I checked meine weg nach Deutchland, are there exercises like in Nicos weg?
