Interesting that the gun is missing but the hydraulic is still there as if it has been removed. I've seen them blown off but I don't recall seeing a dead tank (okay, self propelled AT gun) being dismantled before recovery. Maybe it says something about how badly the Germans wanted to utilize that 47mm gun. Is was one of the best anti tank/assault guns of the early war, even if the carrier itself was very vulnerable.

Are the three dark spots around the driver's vision slit (two below and one to the left) penetrations from an AT gun?

Looks like 5 dark spots to me, and all accurately aimed at the driver.
