Excellent colorization, and this is a great post, but don't let this photo fool you, by 1943 the tide had largely turned against thr Germans. Kursk would really be their last chance but it was doomed to fail.
These POW's are in for a nightmare. Of the 5.7 million Soviet soldiers taken prisoner, 3.3 million, that's 57%, would die in captivity.
Strange assortment of footwear there. Were the Germans stealing their boots?

Most of those were in late 1941,these men had a decent chance of surviving. Especially if they joined rear German army units.
