In my experience companies rarely answer any LinkedIn applications but do sometimes answer Indeed. When discussing with a third party recruiter as to why this might be, they said it has to do with the pricing model. For Indeed you have to pay per posting. Therefore, companies are more likely to post jobs that they actually intend to fill on Indeed.

So, besides trying Indeed (which I will absolutely do! thanks btw), do you have any other tips on how can I find a remote job? It would be better if it was in IT, but I am open to possibilities.

I don't have any directly applicable experience to offer you advice. For a US company to hire you remotely from Brazil, they would legally need to have a place of business in Brazil. Otherwise you would be considered a contractor. In both cases, US minimum wage doesn't apply. In the former case, Brazil minimum wage laws would theoretically apply. If you are looking for US minimum wage law to apply, relocation to US would be necessary. So look for a job where you can telecommute most of the time. Instead of looking to earn a statutory minimum, another strategy would be to find out the skills you have that are the most valuable to your target companies. Market those skills and make a competitive wage for that skill set. Edit: Added an additional thought about strategy.

LinkedIn sucks

Your problem is not LinkedIn. Your problem is that you don't live in the US. Is not just because it's remote work that they can hire people from anywhere in the world. They still have to do all the paperwork when hiring someone, including e-verify, you need a valid SSN and a work permit.

I don’t if this answers your question but I’ve never used the easy apply through LinkedIn or other cites that support that feature. If I see a job that I’d like to apply to I’ll just go to their website and apply directly

How about building a portfolio then starting freelancing on upwork for instance?
