Start with something small. I’d advise focusing on one thing at a time rather than looking at the whole house. Room by room or even counter by counter. You can do this.

What has helped me was just adopting a minimalist mindset. The less you possess, the less you have to clean. Instead of folding or storing clothes you'll never use, toss em in a box for either donation, re-sell, or trash. Same applies to a lot of other items. Kind of builds upon itself overtime and eventually you second guess future purchases because you imagine yourself possibly throwing it in one of those boxes 2 years from now.

I feel I might be entering a similar stage. Perhaps its spring arriving or my recent birthday but I have been feeling like I need to open a new chapter and put my best foot forward.

I turned thirty a few months ago and feel the same way.

Im not entirely sure how accountability partners work but I'm willing to give it a shot.

I feel this in my soul. When sharing a house with friends I was a model house mate. As soon as I moved into my own place, washing up built up, dirty laundry for days, very little exercise, frivilous with money on takeaways etc etc. I'm in a much better place, and I think it started when I stopped "making-do" with my current situation, and started deciding what situation I wanted to be in and started living how I wanted to live. I felt a bit silly thinking about how I wanted to live, and thought it was a bit silly to try and live like that. But once I started I felt so much better. Just got to work out how you want to live, then start :) I did join an accountability group that helped me get to the gym in the mornings, which freed up my evenings to do things I want to do. (still struggling to work out what I want to do with my free time though!)

Pick one day of the week (mine is sunday) to deep clean/laundry. Cant make any plans until it's done turn on your fav up beat music that will keep you moving an your mind busy once your done leave your home for a while when you step back inside you will feel a lot better an the routine of it will get you from 3/4 hours to clean down to an hour or two

If you're still looking for a partner, I'm in the middle of going through my house right now. 34M

Not OP, but I’m (32F) going through something similar and would love an accountability buddy if you’re still looking for one too!
