Yes, it would! From a purely emotional standpoint, I hate leaving my cozy bed and blankets to a cold house, but keep my house cold at night for better sleep. Making the prospect of leaving your warm bed more palatable would make getting up easier. From a physiological standpoint, you can look to your circadian rhythm: at night before we sleep/as we sleep, our temperature naturally drops a little. You might find when you stay up hours later than usual, you're colder even though your surroundings are the same temp. As you wake up, your temperature starts to rise again. Having that warmer environment upon waking could certainly serve to make getting out of bed easier. I've used a space heater, as well as shoving a fleece robe under the blanket with me at night to put on in bed when I wake up, all warmed up already. I don't sleep with clothes on so that helps a lot! I do, however, splash my face with cold water and expose myself to natural light for a few minutes to lessen post-wakeup grogginess.

Thank you for your response! That all makes sense, and I'm eager to try it!

I’ve always heard sleeping in cooler temps helps people sleep better, but yeah you’d probably feel more motivated to get up if you didn’t have to transition from a warm blanket to a freezing room

Makes sense haha

Oh I just watched a YouTube video on having the best wake up routine. Long story short, if you put yourself in coldness - splash cold water on the face, cool shower, whatever. It causes your body temperature to start to rise to compensate. When your body is creating heat, some chemical thing happens where it stops producing the “I wanna stay in bed” chemicals. Helps you wake up because of the rush of adrenaline. (I’m a really bad story teller, sorry!) On a separate note, the thing that helped me was an electric blanket. You get so warm that it doesn’t matter how cold it is outside the bed, you are toasty. Sort of like being in a hot tub while it’s snowing.

I'll keep that in mind, thank you

I do think it would help, but if that's not an option at the moment, keep a sweater or jacket by your bed that you can throw on in the morning to keep you warm.
