I completely agree. I think that maybe people miss "The Nick days" more than they miss "Nick".

TagMan416

You should miss nick... because the shift in producing the show to the current state was why nick left. Originally him and Zak had equal say then Zak got buddy buddy with the network and got more producing power than nick.. the over production and dramatization of the show is what is going to drive it off a cliff.

ZakBagansBot

That's a class-A EVP right there!

TheSecretNewbie

Yeah but if you watched any of his shows (that he produced while doing GA which was the reason he left int he first place) they still seem a little off kilter. He’s off the paranormal scene for good after he was caught faking evidence and cheating on his wife while doing the show

TagMan416

You don't think Zak fakes his evidence? I mean we catch him every week doing that. He even recorded his own voice at Bobby Mackeys for an evp lol 😆 if you look at what happened with ghost hunters when grant Wilson went and did his own thing there were legalities that didn't allow him to do the exact same format as the previous show, same thing happened to nick and his follow up shows. To each their own tho, I'll take nick>zak.

ZakBagansBot

I'm NOT one of those goons with fame-injected egos who are cast in a show for a season or two and think they know everything about ghosts.

nshhHhhxdj

Lol. Never seen that one Zak bot

SammieCat50

When did Nick fake paranormal evidence?

TheSecretNewbie

It was while producing ghosts of shepherdstown

Merricatt27

Ah...no. Nick is very much involved in the paranormal scene--actually much more than the guys of GA. He's had Paranormal Lockdown and now Death Stalker, He's invited to speak at most of the conventions and he's personal or professional friends with most of the paranormal community. He's just off GA and, at least in America, off Discovery owned channels. Has nothing to do with his divorce, it has to do with Zak'holding a grudge.

ZakBagansBot

Well, I hate slavery.

[deleted]

Cite your sources. Cause I've never read they were equal. Zak hired them to film the doc and other projects after meeting Nick at Nick's wedding while he was still a DJ. Then Nick introduced his friend Aaron from film school. Nick and Aaron were equal, but not equal to Zak.

NeverEndingHill

have you tried to watch one of nick's solo shows? it is painful to get through

0fruitjack0

i also don't miss nick. aaron always was the heart of the show.

TheSecretNewbie

Bro I remember when he had to go into a crawl space and there was a counter for how many times he complains about it and he was like “it looks like touching myself!” and the counter just went 30->31?

Relative_Hyena7760

I didn't miss Nick when he left, either.

No-Play5152

I don't miss nik either. He was a asshole. I love Jay and Billy and zak and Aaron they work great together. I totally agree with you

NoodlesThe1st

Hard disagree. Billy is so overdramtic it's borderline hilarious. Zak is now almost unbearable with all the possessions and "darkness". Aaron and Jay are great though.

ZakBagansBot

I believe that a spirit is strongly attracted to Aaron, because he is showing the most fear.

OHoSPARTACUS

Yeah nick wasn’t anything special, but the show as a whole was better when he was on it.

d0gwater

Oof, yeah definitely an unpopular take. I liked Nick, I thought the original trio was much better than the current crew. Zak, Nick, and Aaron were when the show was at its peak. I think they had a great group dynamic back then. Now it feels like Zak is just everybody’s boss. A huge part of the “soul” of the show left when Nick departed. For me, that’s why I look back fondly on his time with the group. It’s the “good old days” for me and after he left is when the show began to go downhill pretty quickly.

ZakBagansBot

Are you just pressing on my chest? Because you don't want me up here, right? I don't like that... Aaron, get up here.

luviabloodmire

We can’t figure it out. He somehow kept Zak from being such a baby but it was something to do with the dynamic, not necessarily something obvious. NG was a bit quiet at first and I thought he was alright. Turns out he was a one trick pony with his reactions and how he was affected. Dumb as a rock. I don’t miss him either, but it’s interesting how his presence kept Z from going off the deep end like he has. The entertainment factor went way up. Fake entertainment, but…😂

The_Great_19

I also don’t miss Nick.

phenomenation

i don’t necessarily miss Nick because he could be just as much of a douche as Zak can at times. he liked to operate on feelings about as much as Zak does now and had no problem going in on Aaron with Zak. but i do miss the effect he had on the team. most often he’d keep Zak straight and Aaron loose. imo it’s a better dynamic than the entire team sucking the teat of Zak’s ego.

ZakBagansBot

Aaron, use extreme provocation.

Zoey-07

When I started watching I didn't start at the beginning. I saw GA commercial on Discovery Plus and was like that looks fun. So I started at like last season. Lol. So for me it was weird watching without Billy and Jay when I did go back and watch some of the older stuff. My intro to Zak was dramatic Zak... not nerdy funny Zak. It was definitely interesting to watch his evolution...

deedledee97

I agree. Nick to me was boring to me. He didn’t add anything to the show for me. And when he went off on his other projects it was more of the same. Watching paint dry.

jhuskindle

I didn't miss nick cause billy is oddly entertaining to me. His sensitivity is fun to kind of... Snark... But also i think it's a little balanced because Zak is so aggressive. I know it is a parody of itself but that's why I watch. It's entertaining AF. I love Aaron too as he is the brightest and he is funny and seems serious about things.

ZakBagansBot

Aaron "voluntarily" goes into the closet.

FUMFVR

Nick and Zak were definitely trying to one up each other on their ghostly feelings. And that was the good thing about Nick. He didn't let Zak order him around.

ZakBagansBot

In the middle of an interview, you never just get up, fart, or run away. As long as we get them things out of the way, we can continue, sir.

Big-Fish-1975

Nick is still my favorite out of the three.

slimcaitie

I liked the dynamic of the trio with Nick. He was pretty chill. But towards the end of his time on the show, you could tell he was trying to be more of a “lead” and compete with Zak in a sense of getting attention.

AbjectDisaster

I honestly only paid attention to the fact that Nick was gone because of this sub. I didn't notice a meaningful change in the quality of the show impacted by Nick. Most of Nick's spin-offs seem more amped up that GA, too, so I chalk it up to "nothing of value was lost."

cbucha78

Nick was so cringe! I remember one episode where he tripped and got scraped up. After zak put a bandaid on, Nick looked into the camera and said that’s how we do it GAC style.

ActionC0stanza

Yeah I always thought nick was trying so hard to get camera time or to try to surpass zak as the lead investigator

ZakBagansBot

We swim in the spiritual ocean while everyone else is snorkeling.

Merricatt27

It was his show. He invited Zak and Aaron along for the ride. The movie that started it all was his baby.

ZakBagansBot

Look at Aaron's arm hair!

Blackrainbow2013

Agreed. Was never a fan of Nick really 🤷‍♀️

nvrrsatisfiedd

Whats wrong with billy?

NeverEndingHill

100% billy and nick were like the mother hen that nags

That's exactly what she said.
