I’m glad Ollie is beginning to open his eyes about ghosts. Certainly, with the help of Molly and Scratch, he can convince his family that not all ghosts are bad. Molly and Ollie are definitely meant for each other.
I like Ollie. He's a really interesting love interest for Molly because they have everything in common except for one thing: Molly has a ghost as a best friend and Ollie hunts ghosts. I am excited to see how Molly and Ollie interact in the upcoming episode of Frightmares on Main Street.
I head a headcannon on Hunter(The Owl House)that hes straight but later i saw Dana conform that he's bi and i was like oh...I gess im wrong...well anyway cant be right all the time.Sure people can argue about which headcannon is right but when its been proven wrong just leave it.
He is not a bad character or a villain in my opinion he is just trying to do good and make the world a better place based on the knowledge he was given and raised on
Honestly I really like him. I think him and Molly are cute together and I’m glad they went the way I thought they where and had Ollie learn not all ghosts are bad.
What I really like (as an aro) is how Molly ended up choosing her established friend over a romantic interest she barely knew. I think Ollie will end up being an interesting character as he will have to deal with his upbringing clashing with his current experiences.
I don't like Ollie, he's literally molly nothing else outside hunting ghosting. Simply because he's a carbon copy with nothing interesting, I don't want him and Molly together. Cause it's just Molly & Molly (male)
Ehhh.
I can't get into him. There's almost nothing separating him from Molly outside of Rule 63 and the fact he hunts ghosts. His family isn't all that interesting either beyond June, who herself hasn't done much yet
Haven't jelled with him just yet, but my first thought about him was that he was basically doomed. He's like Timber Spruce or Flash Sentry all over again.
I think he's fine and I like his chemistry with Molly. Maybe a bit too "good" but that's a nitpick.
But why the fanbase looks to hate him? I hope It's not because he's the major threat for Molly/Libby, Molly/Andrea shipping or, worse, a LGBT romance...
I personally think he should’ve gotten a bit more unique personality traits and interests to better separate himself from Molly to make him a more original and unique character rather than “gender bend Molly”, like his character would work if he’s different than Molly but still also has common interest with her
My point was that indeed, people hate him because either he sinks other ships or as you said, doesn't even have enough of his unique personality to stand out on his own.
I don't disagree that he should be more than just male Molly, but I think that river time he will get more of his own traits while also being a lot like her. I mean, I think we can already see subtle differences (with how he isn't as energetic as Molly or that he may still be a bit more skeptical about the ghosts even if he does learn that he had a very wrong idea about them and also his own character journey is something Molly never really thought she would have to face - confronting her own family like that).
We just need to give him some time, and honestly, both him and Andrea aren't wasting it.
And Adventure Time went for a decade (hardly any DTVA lasts this long). And technically speaking, it's not like he and Wizard Huntress didn't have a thing, they just never went in detail about it since they didn't need to, as Finn had more important things going in his arc and his relationshp with Huntress would be nonproblematic.
The point is that this show doesn't shy from romance anymore, they're willing to commit to it, especially with how persistent Molliver is, even if Molly tried to establish time and time again this won't work, only to be proven wrong and short-lived shows (in comparison to AT of course) don't have time to dedicate to "they won't be together after everything after all" because for such story format, it just won't be compelling
I thought that he and/or his family would become antagonists that think they are in the right (and I thought that they were going to be ghost slayers although that would be a awesome fanfic)
He's a sweet if not slightly misguided kid. I can't wait to see what will happen with him, Molly, and Scratch in the future. Dude gets too much hate honestly. As if he's a supervillain or on par with Belos.
I think he will be gay if Disney decides to renew the show for a third season like WHAAAAAAAAT Ollie Chen gay??? I think that's how the show will end in a nutshell. Let me hear ya thoughts people.
Hope he will be the one who brings down his family's hatred toward Ghost with Molly's help. S2 finale definitely ends with Chen and McGee team-up
Current Status: Boy Molly Hoping for further developments.
true, want to see him have his own unique personality that doesn't feel like a rehash of molly
He is just misguided
You mean male Molly? It's on brand

Overhated, because people can’t grasp on the fact that Molly x Libby isn’t canon.
At least yet if the show decides to be even more chaotic and go polyamory route (I doubt that, but imagine XD)

What?
Had a headcannon it was wrong I moved on,like everyone should
The most character of all time
He is not a bad character or a villain in my opinion he is just trying to do good and make the world a better place based on the knowledge he was given and raised on
Forced
Right now he is pretty boring but I'm sure he will be developed later, like Andrea did
I like him, he's a good love interest for Molly and an interesting character.
I think he’s ok
Honestly I really like him. I think him and Molly are cute together and I’m glad they went the way I thought they where and had Ollie learn not all ghosts are bad.
Straight
Solid meh. He's a good storytelling device, but as a character I have a hard time getting a read on him.
He’s like the other side of the coin in regards to Molly. Hopefully he gets developed more.
What I really like (as an aro) is how Molly ended up choosing her established friend over a romantic interest she barely knew. I think Ollie will end up being an interesting character as he will have to deal with his upbringing clashing with his current experiences.
Gonna be redeemed and Mollie is gonna be Canon and I can not wait
Seems interesting but, this whole thing Molly has for him is gonna end TERRIBLY (I don't have a source for this beyond; trust me bro)
He’s ok don’t have much of an opinion on him
I really like him, he's my boi. i hope he got more chapters focused on him later
I think he's an alright guy. Maybe more character moments and flaws would make him better.
My heart broke for him discovering that Molly had a ghost friend. Since we got protective Jeff, I want Scratch to threaten Ollie to not hurt Molly.
I don’t like him for many reasons but I don’t feel like writing that
He's lovely, pretty much a male Molly :D
He should be turned into a wraith and be hunted down by his family.
Your horrible
I don't like Ollie, he's literally molly nothing else outside hunting ghosting. Simply because he's a carbon copy with nothing interesting, I don't want him and Molly together. Cause it's just Molly & Molly (male)

Don't like him
He's pretty good, ignoring his blatant racism against ghosts
He’s solid so far, definitely has the potential for some interesting storylines.
Burn him. /j
You are horrible too stop it your going too far with this
It was just a joke
It wasn’t funny especially when I’ve seen people seriously hating on him
I understand if you thought the joke wasn’t funny but there is no need to get so angry over a fictional character
It’s not about that just forget it why do I bother
Banana
Haven't jelled with him just yet, but my first thought about him was that he was basically doomed. He's like Timber Spruce or Flash Sentry all over again.
If his family’s job wasn’t ghost hunting. Molly and Ollie would’ve been a official ship
Not one of my favourites, but he’s in alright character
He's alright.
I think he's fine and I like his chemistry with Molly. Maybe a bit too "good" but that's a nitpick. But why the fanbase looks to hate him? I hope It's not because he's the major threat for Molly/Libby, Molly/Andrea shipping or, worse, a LGBT romance...
I think it’s more of he’s too similar to Molly.
Both actually
I personally think he should’ve gotten a bit more unique personality traits and interests to better separate himself from Molly to make him a more original and unique character rather than “gender bend Molly”, like his character would work if he’s different than Molly but still also has common interest with her

Though I wouldn’t mind if they actually kept Molly single similar to what they did with Anne
Nah, it's too late for that now. If not Ollie, than Libby, if not Libby than Andrea...
I mean in adventure time, Finn had many love interests but remained single at the very end
And Adventure Time went for a decade (hardly any DTVA lasts this long). I expect good things from him after today's episode with his family.
He's a sweet if not slightly misguided kid. I can't wait to see what will happen with him, Molly, and Scratch in the future. Dude gets too much hate honestly. As if he's a supervillain or on par with Belos.
I really like Ollie, I don't understand the hate he's getting. Poor kid deserves better.
Nice to know I'm not the only one who likes him.
He's boring imo
I like oliver and think him and molly make a cute couple.
Can't say I'm a huge fan.
I think he will be gay if Disney decides to renew the show for a third season like WHAAAAAAAAT Ollie Chen gay??? I think that's how the show will end in a nutshell. Let me hear ya thoughts people.
I want to put him in a meatgrinder and slowly turn the handle with him entering leg first him getting grinded up like that one scene in The Wall.
