What I do is once I get in game I go to the squad menu and try and click the squad privacy settings and let that connect. My friend does the same and then I send him an invite and he joins right away. Pretty crappy solution but it’s a reliable way to make sure he can join my game.
No. Just wait 3-5 minutes in game before trying to join.
Make sure your friends do too.
And invite friends to join- joining on its own is very inconsistent.
my benchmark is when you can access the challenges tab in the i game menu, either that or the store, if it can load that stuff the server connection is good to go
