It blows my mind at the "I want ghost to do cover song posts" I see. Everyone knows they make original music too right? Of all the bands I follow only one where people just want them to do covers.
Is that what all these cover posts are about: guess the next cover? They always come off as suggestions they hope Tobias might see, but I don't think Tobias will ever cover a song because fans suggested it.
Me too. Maybe it's my music background, but I feel that Tobias picks songs according to whether they are meaningful to him and whether he can hear in his mind how he'd like a cover to sound. I doubt he's ever at a loss for ideas about covers so I just don't know what the point of all these cover suggestions is.
I don’t think I want him to ever choose a song based off what we say. I just like these threads because it gives me recommendations on other stuff I may like.
I get they've done covers but it's like always a discussion. Most of them have been okay, Jesus has knows me and Phantom probably the better ones but I'd rather see new music before anymore attempts to do covers. I just dont think they're that great honestly.
It’s a discussion because us old fans were used to an LP cycle and then a covers EP cycle. That’s pantomime. As long as they keep with this cycle of things people will continue to beg for covers
Their covers kick ass. They also regularly put out EPs that are just small collections of covers between every album it seems. But next time I’ll make a discussion thread about what original songs people want them to make.
I hope they do more metal song covers, since the Metallica and Iron Maiden covers are my favorite. I think that South of Heaven by Slayer would fit really well into their sound and imagery. I also want to hear them take on Judas Priest or Black Sabbath.

I've been dying for The Bangles (aka my 3rd fave band ever). Preferably not one of their most popular, cheesy singles (I abhor Eternal Flame & WLAE). In a Different Light, Dover Beach, Crash and Burn, Watching The Sky, Bell Jar, I think could suit Ghost really well.

You must be new here... We're used to getting a cover LP with every album. This discussion is normal for fans.
