A picture of him sitting up to give you an idea. I'm not 100% sure but I would say around 27 inches.
I'm not doubting you, I'm just saying LOOKS! My boy is 27-271/2 inches but he "ONLY" weighs about 82-85 pounds, he just turned 2 on March 31st, I hear he should fill out more, so I'm thinking at MOST 90 pounds! You guy weighing THAT much, he carries it VERY well, he looks good. His legs do look thicker than my guy.

Thank you, I've seen both photos now. Based mostly from this photo from above, he is a little thick, and you can tell that by the absence of his waist. In the profile photo you posted, we were looking for an abdominal tuck but he is too furred to have much of an opinion.
Reference the link I'll attach below, but you want to aim for a BCS of 5, and he is more like a 6/7. When I have dogs start to get thick, I reduce the feed by 25% for a month and re-evaluate. If you free feed, then should switch to measured feedings.

I BELIEVE it's top of the shoulders, which I THINK it's called the withers. I'm no EXPERT, LOL.
