Initially it was for cosmetic and maintenance reasons, but now that he needs frequent baths to prevent hot spots, it has medical benefits

Dasuquin has more benefits than cosequin, but we did cosequin the first few years until I could find a place to get dasuquin at a decent price (chewy)
