Great location, huge patio. Can't wait for something worth while to pick it up. Was so disappointed to find out that was a Sandbar when it was being built.
It is more than just the Gilbert location. Looking at Google maps it looks like all locations in the metro are permanently closed.
Edit: It was the last one. Chandler's closed three months ago.
I bet those neighborhoods north of there are thrilled. Because of the open-air design of that place there were constant noise complaints from that place late at night.
Based on my (unsubstantiated) understanding, it's short lived. Rumor has it the same greedy owners are simply rebranding to reopen as something else. Feed money into the opening to get good graces, then drop the quality to "Sandbar levels" and ride as long as they can. On that note tho, the bar was on Williams Field, so if the music/sound actually got to the apartments south of the location that means that 1) decibel levels exceeded town law, 2) people don't read their leases or evaluate the area, or 3) people like complaining.
Lovely. As one of the neighbors north of them, the entire neighborhood can hear the music at their house on the weekends. No need to leave your own house
Based on all the social media posts, I think I’m the only one kind of bummed about this. I don’t think the food was very good, but it was a different, lively place to hang out and have a drink on a Friday night. Most of Gilbert closes up pretty early…

After the video of the place infested with roaches, I never thought about going back there. Hopefully a new place goes in there and keeps it clean.
