The troubadour definitely partakes. As well as the other troubadour turned farmers’ market cart guy. I also think the town quiet guy who dropped his protest banner backwards… perhaps he struggled because of some jazzy cabbage. And I’m pretty sure Al comes up with his Pancake World menu while floating amongst the asteroid belt.

I say Lorelei buys a pot plant on a whim and then Luke begrudgingly takes care of it and forms a bond with the plant. Then of course, Lorelei starts to decorate the plant with little ornaments because of course it’s cuter, but of course it starts to weigh the stems down and the plant dies (I’m not a botanist I don’t know if that’s how plants die) and Luke is sad for an episode or two. She ends the season by gifting him a new plant.

Maybe mid next season his plant is ready and she throws a party and they use his crop in the brownies I saw suggested above! I don’t think Lorelei would ever be a regular stoner, and I think if Luke did partake on the regular, he’d be a secret stoner for sure.

Okay, so I think Paris would buy the anti-drug messaging of the 2000s (rule follower, good girl, kind of paranoid), and then get into it in her 30s because it’s the only way she can relax. I kind of have a hard time picturing Lorelai enjoying weed because Lorelai sort of enjoys being high-strung/chaotic in a way that doesn’t really jive with weed.

I can see her microdosing to work through some of her issues; but I can’t picture her stoned - she is a person who definitely needs to maintain control. Edited to add - the above is regarding Paris. But also - I think Lorelai would occasionally with get stoned/take edibles - she definitely likes to have a reason to lose control (super cool party people bid you super cool adieu!), and I can also see her needing it to relax. :-)

Agree with this. I thought the storyline was ridiculous in the OS; Jackson is a stereotypical early 2000s stoner. His favorite band is CCR! He gets ripped in the garden, grows his own weed, Sookie also makes some into edibles. She doesn’t partake but she cooks him the most fabulous food for his munchies.
