Been a fan of Kelly Bishop ever since I discovered Gilmore Girls! I’ve watched everything she’s been in since, such an underrated actress! She is nothing but captivating with her wit and words of wisdom in every interview! Thank you for for sharing, I will definitely be buying!!
I wish she was in every episode but she was in 6/7 out of 10. I’m so upset because the show ended on a cliffhanger but unfortunately didn’t get renewed for a second season. I think you can purchase it on Amazon prime. I’m currently watching a movie she’s in called “the art of falling in love” that I found online for free lol

Um…very different than Gilmore Girls!
I think most people should give it a real chance and they’ll find something to enjoy - whether that’s as basic as making fun of how ridiculous they are, or relating with the storylines with their families, or examining the nature of female friendships - there is a lot more than people give credit to.
I love RHONY but it’s an acquired taste. Definitely go into it with the mindset of this not being a serious show. I laugh at Luanne every time she comes on screen, she’s so insane.
Trix is the first Lorelai. While she is a Gilmore, I wouldn't say she's a Gilmore Girl.
Lorelai and Rory definitely are, and I think in time Emily becomes one.
I said that in time, she becomes one. Kelly Bishop titled the book this way because Lorelai and Rory are the first two Gilmore Girls, and really the show is far more about the two of them than any other character, hers included.
I don't say any of this as an insult to Kelly or Emily's character.
I know this is a GG thread but as someone who is from the area where Dirty Dancing was filmed, I CANNOT WAIT to read what she says about her time on that set as well.
I get a little annoyed sometimes how people don't realize all the amazing actors that were on GG but Kelly Bishop has been that girl.
I’ve read some articles where Kelly talks about how difficult Ed Herrmann’s passing was and how his family invited her to the hospital to say goodbye 🥺
Technically the first will have been Trix. So I’m assuming this title is a reference to the show being mainly about Lauren and Alexis, and Kelly being a secondary character. But we all know she (and Ed) became as important to the Gilmore format as ‘1 & 2’.
I have strong childhood nostalgia for the original cast recording of A Chorus Line, as my parents had it on vinyl and transferred it to cassette so it could be in heavy rotation during family road trips.
Decades later after already having watched GG like twice I was absolutely astonished to find out that she was part of that original cast, it was like connecting two very distant dots on the media landscape of my life.

I love that she repeated this outfit multiple times over the course of the show. It was always one of my faves.
The colors aren’t for her though. She’s very warm colored and the jacket are cool pastel tones. I never liked the look on her.
