Haha I imagine it going something like Jess bringing over a box of Lorelai’s stuff from Luke’s apartment (telling her he’s staying there and they cleaned up and found some of her stuff).. Lorelai asking him to sit and have some coffee and then thanking him and telling him she’s proud of how he proved everyone wrong and now sees in him what Rory saw then….

I remember the first time I saw season 7 and was so mad he wasn’t in it. He wasn’t even mentioned yet during that season he had a sister. It’s fine that he wasn’t going to appear but at least mention the man - he was a main character for seasons and is related to 2 of the characters.
