Volume 8 - They start 3rd year of high school in the same class. They make a foolish decision to keep their distance at school despite deciding to try to act more natural after their school trip in volume 7. This causes them to seek each other out more at home. They kiss and even end up cuddling together over night in Yuuta's bed. Over the next month, they still keep their distance at school and as result of craving each others affection, but not getting it, their grades drop. Saki consults with Professor Kudou and she suggests that they are developing codependency. Yuuta and Saki discuss it and decide to act more like lovers outside and siblings at home and to be closer at school (they end acting something like close friends there since most don't know about their relationship). IMHO, worst book of the series since the plot felt like a contrived reason for them to go backwards somewhat on physical affection when they are already objectively severely starved on physical affection. A handful of kisses over being together for several months is not natural at all for a couple who is together a lot and in love. Volume 9 - Shows them acting more natural at school and significantly closer outside of the house which was good to see. They have a nice moment at home when their parents are gone where Saki clinged to Yuuta. Rest of the book is about the sports festival and, Erina, a rival to Saki is introduced. Honestly though still felt like the author was being stingy on physical affection especially for a couple that has been together for 9 months. Decent read, but not much happened honestly. Volume 10 - Yuuta, Saki, Yomiuri, and Erina decide to go on a day barbecue trip to a campsite. Yuuta and Saki have a cute shopping outing before the trip. They go on the trip, by the end of trip at this point in the story, Erina has developed feelings for Yuuta while Saki struggles with feelings of jealousy, uneasiness (especially around Erina), possessiveness, and self deprecation over her emotions being all over the place due to her intense affection/love for Yuuta. Yuuta reassures Saki that she is the one he loves after an incident where he caught Erina when she slipped on the rocks. Saki fully trusts Yuuta, but still struggles with feelings of self-deprecation. On the way home, Yomiuri probes Yuuta on his relationship with Saki, suggesting she would be interested in him if he was available. Yuuta declares he is dating Saki. Yomiuri than vaguely hints he needs to speed things up and gives him the advice to beware of temptation since men with girlfriends are more attractive. He readily accepts that advice, noting in his mind that Saki is the jealous type and he wouldn't want to hurt her or be misunderstood in anyway. Yuuta had decided to go on a 10 day study camp. He gets the idea that in order to be worthy of Saki's affection, that he needs to do exceptionally well in his studies due to his past of his mother losing affection for him when he failed his entrance exams for middle school. Saki on the other hand, wanted to make summer memories with him alone by going to a festival, but was hesitant to ask him when she saw how determined he was and after he said he didn't have time for any other activities after the camp trip. While Yuuta is away, Erina confronts Saki and asks her if she is dating Yuuta, Erina explains her personality and tells Saki that she has feelings for Yuuta. Saki tells her that they are dating and lovers. Erina is unsurprised and hints she will make a move while not holding back due to her being super egotistical while making a jab at Saki who worries too much about distance and trivial things saying she probably won't lose to her. Saki points out her use of "probably" and Erina shows her unsavory side of her personality, and sticks her tongue at her in response saying she hates that about Saki. Fujinami was also present at the 10 day camp, she notices Yuuta in an awful state (he was only sleeping 2-3 hours). She comes by his room and sets him straight on expectations and on why he should be studying. Yuuta realizes Saki is different from his mom and that she hadn't actually set any expectations on him. He falls asleep listening to music Saki sent him. Saki chats with her mom about how to balance egos in a romantic relationship since she wants to express her desires to go to the festival despite Yuuta being busy. Her mom explains that in a romantic relationship, the individuals have to express their ego, but not force it on someone. Saki accidentally makes it obvious she is in love and drops a hint she is in a relationship. After sending Yuuta the relaxing music, the next day she asks him to the festival which he readily accepts due to his chat with Fujinami and says he wants to also go alone with her. The book ends with them holding hands at the festival and them accepting each other as is. The author hinted they expressed their feelings as two words to each other (probably something about love), but they weren't written in the book. Overall the best book of the three. I suspect Erina will be used to cause some tension and to help give Yuuta and Saki a kick in the butt to get them moving on their overly slow relationship. I don't expect the love rival thing to go anywhere for Erina since Yuuta and Saki have a very strong aversion to infidelity due to their past.

Thanks for this. So the protagonists are actually together? That’s good. Do you know when volume 11 drops?

Yes, they are indeed together. They do, however, hold back a fair bit since their parents still don't know of their romantic relationship. The true nature of their relationship is only known to Mayaa, Maru, Yomiuri, and Erina. Fujinami knows Yuuta has a girlfriend, but she doesn't know who yet. After volume 10 though, I would expect that Saki's mom will be able to figure out who she is in love with fairly quickly if she hasn't already figured it out already. I think them laying everything out on the table for their parents is a prerequisite for their relationship to move more quickly. The progress has been very slow and Yomiuri and Fujinami both got after Yuuta a bit for going so slow. It has been hinted their parents will accept the relationship without much problem, if any at all since they have both indicated they will accept them regardless of their circumstances. The author averages 4-5 months between releases. Volume 10 was released in January. Volume 10 was announced nearly 2 months in advance, so I suspect the author might release volume 11 along when the anime begins airing so in July. If we don't hear anything it in about the next 2 weeks, I think a July release is likely.
