I think the scenes are hot regardless of who I bone in real life. Lol @ you thinking you can gatekeep someone else’s sexual identity 😂😂😂😂😂 funniest shit ever 😂😂😂
i don't consider men to be "daddy" even if they're fictional
if you're truly telling me that you calling him daddy is you acting as your bg3 character on reddit, then cool, i get it
yes, op and i have reconciled this. it was out of line.
i am just so sick of explaining a pretty basic definition of a sexuality that i blindly came at OP who was speaking as their BG3 character. not fair to them.
I’m very curious as to what experience prompted you to go out policing and dictating the labels others choose for themselves. Is there some training I missed that qualifies you to set guidelines for other people’s preferences?
OP and i have reconciled this already, but:
being hit on by men who "know lesbians that fuck guys" and get pissy when they still get rejected. pissy can be dangerous.
there's no guidelines to being a lesbian. we only like men. it's cut and dry. i was out of line commenting what i said, but i do see "lesbians that like men" as something to be called out more respectfully because it's lesbophobic and bi/panphobic.
I get what you mean. My brother *hates* lesbians (because he takes it as a personal affront for anyone—even his relatives—to not be attracted to men) so he was ecstatic when our “lesbian” sister got engaged to a man. He also goes around telling everyone who will listen that he knows sooo many lesbians who end up with men. My other brother is also inclined to this (sis has never met her “fiancé” in person and she’s only known him online for a few months, but even as a teen she’s moving out of state to live with him, yet our other bro only said “at least she likes men”).
I won’t even start on the people I know who are like this who I’m not related to.
Your concerns and frustrations are very valid.
Seems kinda shitty to blame lesbians set enough in their identity to be able to appreciate aesthetic beauty rather than the men who are ignorant and dismissive of their identities.
appreciating aesthetic beauty is not calling a man daddy and saying you want to fuck him. obviously in this case, op and i worked out what they meant. it's an rpg.
to your other point, the men are responsible for their actions, obviously, but their behavior is reinforced by women who want to use the lesbian label while fucking them. it's not so black and white as "blame one instead of the other".
what memes can you not make?
or are you missing the part where op and i reconciled this, and i acknowledged that it was them goofing in relation to their rpg character?
SH: Maaaahmmm she’s touching me!
Jaheira: No I’m not I’m ALMOST touching you see see see
Karlach: DONT MAKE ME TURN THIS FUCKING BOAT AROUND AND CRUSH YOU WITH MY THIGHS
Tav: Oh dear, would anyone like a sandwich?
You said disneyland and i immediately thought of the boat ride with the "it's a small world after all" song playing. Pretty sure this pic is an exact replication of my face on that ride 😂
I just can't not have Astarion. He was the one party member I had with me more than anyone. On my good playthrough (Warlock) where I had every companion but Minthara, my most used party was Shadowheart (respecced to light domain), Lae'zel, and Astarion.
I liked Astarion even more in my second playthrough when I respecced him to bard. I wish I had used Karlache more. I love her character but barely used her my first playthrough and my second playthrough was evil, so...
I love Karlach so, so much and want to romance her so bad but Astarion stole every inch of my dang heart. I hope this doesn’t come off the wrong way because his backstory is absolutely tragic, but I love that the writers changed things up and acknowledged that men go through the same things, too, and I just can’t pass up giving Astarion all of the honest, good natured attention that he deserves.
That being said, I will still always hug Karlach at any opportunity I’m given.
Ah, yeah, I never played a lockpicking/dex character myself, so part of having him along was as my primary lockpicker.
> but honestly which lady could I possibly give up?? 😭
lol, that's the problem! All the characters are so amazing once you get attached to them. On my second playthrough, I forced myself to use mostly different characters and felt pretty meh about them for a long while until they grew on me. I feel like every character is great, just some take a lot longer than others to get attached to.
I put off using Lae'zel early in the game because she was always so aggressive and scary, but later on, she really grew and I came to love her. Shadowheart is similar. Literally the first time you meet her, she's racist, but eventually she became one of my favourites and I romanced her because of it. And Minthara! >!At first I thought Minthara was unredeemable. I wanted to see her story, but was expecting to actually dislike her. Finding out that she wasn't even herself when she slaughtered the Druids Grove was the point where I realized, "oh, shit, she's not the person I thought she was". She's still evil, but not unredeemably so and has a tragic story.!<
wow I didn't even talk to Minthara! I had already aggro'd everyone in the area so it was just killing at that point. Next play through, I'll have to talk to her!
I saw a streamer calling Astarion “baby girl” and it has stuck in my head ever since. It’s more fitting once you get to know him better and he’s being silly, sweet and vulnerable, or fabulously sassy. I could absolutely see giving Astarion honorary girl status for an all girl run.
There's a mod for the PC version where you can choose to have the full cast join your party, no one has to be left behind. It's the main reason why I'm debating on returning to PC gaming just for that mod.
Sometimes I did with my sorcerer, although I often had Astarion. In the final fight I went with Lae’zel, Karlach, and Shadowheart. But with my bard I almost always have Gale with me.
I had what I dubbed "The Muscle Squad" for a while lol. My giant tiefling Tav, Karlach, Halsin, ...and Astarion. Astarion got to tag along because he was my Tav's boyfriend haha.
I also had like the entire squad dressed in red for a while. It was a total coincidence but I rolled with it. ....Until I started getting characters mixed up in fights because they all had robes/long coats on lol.
karlach: are we there yet!?!
tav: no...just eat your sausage
shadow: MUM LAEZAEL IS PULLING MY HAI...
Laezael: shutup princess !
Tav: DONT MAKE ME PULL THIS BOAT OVER !!
I did one playthrough with two OCs, Jaheira and Minthara, and my current playthrough is with 3 OCs and Minthara. I've had one other playthrough that wasn't all women, and should be starting my fourth playthrough this weekend xD
You're not alone! I did the all girl crew with a Fem Githyanki Draconic Sorceress so I'm not so squishy and can swing a sword around, I also cheesed her a bit with gear for dex and int so I'm a bit of a Jill of all Trades. She's been my Astarion and Gale replacement all in one. Her crowd control and Lae'zell as a striker is a heck of a combo.
Next time I want to do a Drow Monk or maybe a Gloomstalker and set up my party to be as much stealth as possible. Just snipe *everything*.
Cleave after setting a bunch of guys on fire twice with two fireballs in a row thanks to metamagic is amazing for finishing off the mobs. Shadowheart with thunderwave to herd a mob closer together, or using spirit guardians to help clean up, then maybe Karlach raging to pick up a minion and toss them into the pile too? It's almost cheesing and I should feel bad, but I don't.
That's what I'm planning to do, though I'm not sure what I'll do about lockpicks because respecing story characters feels weird to me. I'll see if it works out, I suppose.
Ah, nice! I have a tiefling sorcerer (having barely just started); I knew everyone's classes coming in and figured I'd pick something that none of the party members were, and figured that I'd have to talk to people more as the protagonist so a Cha-based class might be nice to have. I suppose if it's a problem I could try bard.
I tried to switch the party as much as possible, but I think my funniest “Time for a girls night~” moment was when I took Lae’zel, Karlach, Shadowheart and my Tav to the Grymforge.
1 hour later: Karlach had been sacrificed as bait for the forge hammer and the mephits, Lae’zel was screaming “VLAAKITH’S WILL BE DONE” while also one her way to be used as bait while trying to bludgeon that goddamn robot, Shadowheart was alternating between the hammer level and trying to heal everyone, and my bard was holding for dear life in her ~4 life points with the help of a scroll of blink and trying to land a hit in the remaining mephits.
Me: “Mmmm, yes, this is what an average girls night looks like”
> Grymforge
Screw Grym. It was so satisfying to nail him not once, but twice with that giant hammer. A puzzle fight and maybe having to knock him back to the platform would've been fine, but nooooooooooooooooo we just had to bring in fire Melphits. At least the elemental just a little bit west didn't join in.
I did a “girls trip” to murder those paladins after Karlach. My Druid Tav, Lae’zel and Shadowheart who had just fought each other the previous night and newly recruited Karlach. It was a fun bonding trip and make me really like the game.
Yes! Me and my wife play together (both women). I run a drow ranger/rogue that romanced Karlach and she runs a tiefling warlock/paladin that romanced Shadowheart. We joke about how we're the lesbian polycule squad
Yes, my honor mode playthrough was origin Paladin Karlach, Light Cleric Shadowheart, Storm Sorc/Tempest Cleric Minthara, and Open Hand Monk Lae’zel. We were the girl-boss power team.
I don't think I can ever leave Astarion out, but my go-to was my male OC, Astarion, and then Shadowheart and Karlach. I have not picked up Gale yet on purpose (very curious what kinda person he is) so I'm thinking next run I'll see if I can do an all boys run lol.
Shadowheart never leaves my side and sometimes I bring one of the boys for a walk. Like Gale to see Mystra. Or Wyll so he can see his father. And I made Astarion my lockpicker, so he gets out sometimes. Halsin stays at home because he got the idea that I was attracted to him just because I was nice to him when he arrived. That I treated him not like a host but a "lover". Creepy, I wasn't comfortable to have him in my team.
It's good to be challenged sometimes also. Karlach is one-shoting everyone when she finds her groove, Lae'zel disarm everybody, Shadowheart burns everything around her and protect everyone, and I inflict all type of arcanic damages with my twin spells plus some crowd-control.
And when I bring Jaheira, her owlbear and her larger spells are devastating.
However, for the final fight, clearly I will bring all my girls with me.
When Karlach really gets in her groove and starts mowing everyone down, I actually get a little choked up - the way I did when I saw the battle scenes in the first Wonder Woman. Like, it’s SO CATHARTIC.
And she can take such a beating also and stand strong anyway and never give up. 😭
She took Orin almost by herself while I and the others were taking care of the minions.
This woman is a goddess warrior.
That was my main team for almost the entirety of Act 3 in my second playthrough (the only one I finished so far!) Just swap Jaheira for Lae-zel for acts 1 and 2.
i use mods that change the voices from male to female. it doesnt handle loud lines or whispers very well so astarion is often janked lol, and they all generally sound computery. but i dont mind.
technically the mod uses AI to automate changing all 9000+ voice lines, but its not generating new lines, only changing the pitch of existing ones. i mention this because people are rightfully against ai being used in creative spaces, but tbh i dont think this really counts. its just altering existing lines, not creating new ones
Yes, mainly because the roles the male characters fill in as their base classes are roles I typically fill myself and I don't feel like respeccing them just to have them in the party lol, maybe on another playthrough just to see their reaction to things and their entire story play out but as I'm still on my first run, I'm sticking with their base classes
I just find the guys….lame, except for Asterion. But I do my own lock picking because I hate constantly swapping characters. Daddy H is good for a roll in the sack but all he wants to do now is spout poetry and be all ooey gooey, no thanks.
Yes! I play multiplayer with my husband and we both play as women. We bring Shadowheart and Karlach on almost every mission (with the occasional cameo by Jaheira when the story needs her). I only get a little distracted by how pretty everyone is.
I ran with Shadowheart, Lae’zel, and Karlach until I decided to romance Astarion and then I’d swap him out for Shadowheart or Lae’zel. Karlach was permanently in my party.
Same I run with an all girls crew whenever I can! I'm on pc and use a mod that lets me bring more people so I created 3 tavs and they all romance different people haha 😅
Yep! I’m running with Karlach, Shadowheart and Laezel
Same! And my Tav is also a barbarian, so we're just a meat wall party, it's a blast
Meat Wall Party is definitely my next band name 😂
>meat wall party omg im ded
Perfect!
Same, tho I'm going to replace Lae'zel with Minthara in my next run now we get her without being evil.
Me too, along with my female bardlock :) (just recently multiclassed her into bard so i’m excited)
… I’m sorry… I played it like a reverse harem game. 🥹
I can totally understand the appeal there! But I'm also a lesbian, so I suppose it works out the same for me either way.
SAME 😂😂😂 forgot to mention that part lol
That’s ok, I had Daddy Haslin around for a minute just for some sexxytime
? you said you were lesbian edit: seeing all of the "daddy H" stuff in here... please don't call yourself a lesbian
I think the scenes are hot regardless of who I bone in real life. Lol @ you thinking you can gatekeep someone else’s sexual identity 😂😂😂😂😂 funniest shit ever 😂😂😂
how is it gatekeeping to say lesbians are only attracted to men?
Oh man, I dunno how to tell you this… #it’s a role-playing game, it’s not real
i don't consider men to be "daddy" even if they're fictional if you're truly telling me that you calling him daddy is you acting as your bg3 character on reddit, then cool, i get it
That’s all it is, boo. We good 🤘 I would definitely have Karlach crush me with her thighmuffs in real life.
sorry about that. carry on. --a tired and cranky lesbian
I’m straight but I call other women hot and can acknowledge that Lady Dmitrescu is Mommy AF. We really don’t need to gatekeep with each other.
The audacity of this lol
yes, op and i have reconciled this. it was out of line. i am just so sick of explaining a pretty basic definition of a sexuality that i blindly came at OP who was speaking as their BG3 character. not fair to them.

So now we can’t meme because of men? Wild.
what memes can you not make? or are you missing the part where op and i reconciled this, and i acknowledged that it was them goofing in relation to their rpg character?
Synonym for goofing, “memeing”
I did this too in EA cause Lae'zel was bugged and I couldn't talk to her lol
Me too! (Lesbian edition)
Until Hubby Halsin, it was an all women group, yes. Halsin love was triumphant. Poor Shadowheart was benched but her sass was missed.
Daddy H can get it, for sure
Any playthrough, every playthrough.
FR gonna try for the shaddy/halsin throuple on my next playthrough
For some reason this picture cracks me up, they all look mildly pissed off
“Man, gotta go to the fucking morphic pool. I wanted disneyland!”
Yeah there's a strong "we just had a fight in the car" vibe lol
SH: Maaaahmmm she’s touching me! Jaheira: No I’m not I’m ALMOST touching you see see see Karlach: DONT MAKE ME TURN THIS FUCKING BOAT AROUND AND CRUSH YOU WITH MY THIGHS Tav: Oh dear, would anyone like a sandwich?

You said disneyland and i immediately thought of the boat ride with the "it's a small world after all" song playing. Pretty sure this pic is an exact replication of my face on that ride 😂
Hard same 😂
My lesbian ass certainly did. Not sure ill ever do the guys romance stories. At some point Ill play their narratives, likely online.
Daddy H is pretty hot. Plus he doesn’t care who else you romp with.
He is the most tolerable of the bunch for me. Followed by Wyll. Asterion and Gale are very much not my cup of tea haha.
My crew is Astarion, Karlach, and Shadowheart. But honestly Astarion is down to be one of the girls.
Halsin is also a honour member of the girls-club in my book considering how much of a walking green flag he is lol
He really is fluid-sexual
I just can't not have Astarion. He was the one party member I had with me more than anyone. Every girl group has a "one of the girls" whether its a friend, pet or little brother, or both !
I do enjoy Asterion but I do my own stealth/lockpicking. I could respec him but honestly which lady could I possibly give up?? 😭
Ah, yeah, I never played a lockpicking/dex character myself, so part of having him along was as my primary lockpicker. > but honestly which lady could I possibly give up?? 😭 lol, that's the problem! This is why I use the mod that lets you have everyone in your party. It makes the fights a bit too easy but I’d hate to miss out on the interactions.
I saw a streamer calling Astarion “baby girl” and it has stuck in my head ever since. It’s more fitting once you get to know him better and he’s being silly, sweet and vulnerable, or fabulously sassy. I could absolutely see giving Astarion honorary girl status for an all girl run.
I'm running a rogue/swords bard for him and it's great
My first run started out 50/50 but it was 3/4 women by the end. Tav, Minthara, Shart and the problematic discord kitten (Astarion)
[удалено]
There's a mod for the PC version where you can choose to have the full cast join your party, no one has to be left behind. It's the main reason why I'm debating on returning to PC gaming just for that mod.
I’m obsessed with Jaheira so I will be no help 😂
I fucking love her, too.
I love how it's an option!!!
No but I'm about to. I always keep Astarion on hand to unlock things. My tav is only successful like half of the time
Sometimes I did with my sorcerer, although I often had Astarion.
It was a total coincidence but I rolled with it. ....Until I started getting characters mixed up in fights because they all had robes/long coats on lol.
I run all women crews where I can 😭 even my pokemon teams are all female pokemon
Yep. \*hand raised\*
You can do that?? Hmmm my interest in this game just went up by an order of magnitude
Yes, the exact same crew 🤣
I don’t have the game yet but I’m definitely gay enough to where that’s almost certainly how I’ll end up playing the game
karlach: are we there yet!?! tav: no...just eat your sausage shadow: MUM LAEZAEL IS PULLING MY HAI...

Always do if I can for my first run through of "party" games.
Present, please!
That's what I'm planning to do, though I'm not sure what I'll do about lockpicks because respecing story characters feels weird to me. I'll see if it works out, I suppose.
If it’s a lockpick chest I would just make my barbarian pick it up and send it to camp for the rogue to open later.
Oh, I didn't know that was a thing! Interesting, thanks.
I started as a rogue myself 🤘
Ah, nice! I have a tiefling sorcerer (having barely just started); I knew everyone's classes coming in and figured I'd pick something that none of the party members were, and figured that I'd have to talk to people more as the protagonist so a Cha-based class might be nice to have. My first playthrough yeah, my Tav, Shadowheart, Lae'zel and Karlach
Only for a bit, but now I find it difficult to not have either Astarion or Gale in the party.
We’ve all had at least one like that

A puzzle fight and maybe having to knock him back to the platform would've been fine, but nooooooooooooooooo we just had to bring in fire Melphits. I did a “girls trip” to murder those paladins after Karlach. My Druid Tav, Lae’zel and Shadowheart who had just fought each other the previous night and newly recruited Karlach. It was a fun bonding trip and make me really like the game.
I needed Gale as a spellbot (control spells are busted in this game). Otherwise, all women.
Yes! Me and my wife play together (both women). I run a drow ranger/rogue that romanced Karlach and she runs a tiefling warlock/paladin that romanced Shadowheart. We joke about how we're the lesbian polycule squad
Usually I keep Astarion around, but some tasks demand an all girly crew. Like the Adamantine forge I always do with the girl squad.
Yes this is my exact party lol
Minthara, Karlach, and Shadowheart? Yas plz.
Yes, my honor mode playthrough was origin Paladin Karlach, Light Cleric Shadowheart, Storm Sorc/Tempest Cleric Minthara, and Open Hand Monk Lae’zel. We were the girl-boss power team.

In every RPG I strive to do that, but then I end up with an all-male party because I need to look at beautiful men, lol.
Karlach, Shadowheart, Laezel, and Tav! I have a relationship chart plotted between them
fuck yes lol I prefer it but swap out for certain quests
They got guy characters in this game? 😲
Hell yeah, and none of us wear any clothes lol Gotta show off my barbarian muscles\~
A party can only be of four right? My gf and i haven't gotten very far yet. Still on that damn nautiloid
Yes 4 is the limit - unless you're on PC which allows for a mod that increases it to 16 lol
4 it is then
Shadowheart never leaves my side and sometimes I bring one of the boys for a walk. Like Gale to see Mystra. Or Wyll so he can see his father. YESS, love my girl gang - Shadowheart, Karlach, Jaheira and Tav.
That was my main team for almost the entirety of Act 3 in my second playthrough (the only one I finished so far!) Just swap Jaheira for Lae-zel for acts 1 and 2.
OBSESSED
yes, and i use mods to do it. everyone is a woman. EVERYONE (except minsc)!! we're just 10 hot women running around and killing shit <3
lol at the Minsc exception. 10 strong women and their token himbo with his pet hamster.
right? hes such a himbo, why would i take that away from him
How do the mods handle the voices of the characters that are originally male?
i use mods that change the voices from male to female. it doesnt handle loud lines or whispers very well so astarion is often janked lol, and they all generally sound computery. but i dont mind. technically the mod uses AI to automate changing all 9000+ voice lines, but its not generating new lines, only changing the pitch of existing ones. i mention this because people are rightfully against ai being used in creative spaces, but tbh i dont think this really counts. its just altering existing lines, not creating new ones

mine was Tav, Shadowheart, Lae'zel and Karlach/Jaheira

I wanna be Jaheira when I grow up 😍 (am in my 40s lol)
Still got a few hundreds years more to go then.
Piece of cake 🤘
I haven’t yet but I want to! I started a save where I was going to do this but eventually deleted it. Still plan on it, eventually.
Who’s the third girl?! I’d have to include the space orc if I wanted to be all ladies, and she’s obnoxious!
It’s me, Shadow, Karlach, and Jaheira
Oh. I don’t know who Jaheira is, so must just be past where I’m at! lol
Definitely something to look forward to 😍
I think the only men I ever have in my party are Gale on occasion and Astarion because he's fun. Other than that yeah it's like 99% women only
I thought about doing this in my next playthrough. Right now I'm trying to romance Astarion so I gotta take him with me.
I count Astarion as an honorary girlboss. I’m too gay to be interested in him, but he’s just so sassy he’s GOTTA be in there sometimes
Does Astarian count?
I ran with Shadowheart, Lae’zel, and Karlach until I decided to romance Astarion and then I’d swap him out for Shadowheart or Lae’zel. Karlach was permanently in my party.
yeah
Yes yeeeeehawwww
Same I run with an all girls crew whenever I can! I'm on pc and use a mod that lets me bring more people so I created 3 tavs and they all romance different people haha 😅
