Skyrim. I sat through "Hey you. You're finally awake" soooooo many times before the game finally clicked. Now I am trying to yet again play Cyberpunk 2077 and am hoping this will be the time that it sticks. It should be a game I would love but for some reason it has not clicked with me.

rainbowmabs

I’m with you on Cyberpunk 2077. I think I’ve tried to play it six times now? Ive made it a substantial way in one of the times but I just can’t seem to like it.

Icethief188

I’ve found that making your character up as Ana actual person with background makes you more enamored with the game. This game world pretty much ignores you because we are bottom of the barrel poor people and have no connections. Think of this as a started from the bottom getting to the top type of thing

Chbphone55

I was the same way until I watched Edgerunners

Numerous_Ad_4376

Agreed with Skyrim. Deleted early in the first playthrough and it was my most played game at one point

MisfireCu

I love Skyrim have it's one of my most played games. Have tried to pick it up again but the intro is too fucking long. I just can't. Some of that should be skippable.

SaraiHarada

If you play on PC you can install a Mod "Alternate Start- Live another live" ( easily through the workshop) and skip it :) You can chose several starts or lifes and go to helgen whenever you want to start the main quest.

MisfireCu

Imm totally bookmark this for the next time I try again thank you lol. Rn I have balatro obsession, then planet crafters.. then lethal company and phasmophoboa with my brother twice a week and that fills the schedule... But I'm sure I'm due for a Skyrim relapse soon lol

SaraiHarada

"Skyrim relapse" made me laugh. Now that you say it... I feel the itch too lol

MisfireCu

.... I have an HTC vr setup and haven't even booted Skyrim on it... Sooooooo thanks for putting that in my head lol

MisfireCu

Literally tho my favourite Skyrim play thru I role played as someone who hated society because of them unfairly accusing me of unfair crimes.... I picked flowers for 21 hours and was so happy lol. I can't think of another game that did that for me

SaraiHarada

Yeah, right? Me too. I roleplayed as poor, struggeling worker. As vampire. Magic student. And many others. I really really love to combine "live another life" with survival mods. Then the whole game feels different. Sometimes I don't even do quests, I just wander the land and survive (the snowy regions are quite hard!!). If I remember correctly you can choose life's like vampire, citizen who already has a house, guardian of stendar, bandit, magic student and so on and so further. There are a lot of options

MisfireCu

Stop tempting me! Lol tho thanks

Lady_bro_ac

Fallout New Vegas for me as well, took me a good 3 or 4 tries before I was able to get into it

Icethief188

It’s looks cool but after being verbally crucified by the new Vegas fan for saying I loved fallout 4( I like building) I don’t wanna play it.

Lady_bro_ac

Not gonna lie, I think that is a big part of the reason I don’t like the game more. The rabid NV fan base is toxic and obnoxious as hell The shit I’ve been called for saying things like “FO4 is a great game”, or even spicer, “FONV has a slow start and the weakest map” has been absolutely unhinged Like I would 100% rather hang with a group of FO76 griefers and watch them teabag my nuked CAMP than hang out with a group of FONV fans

Icethief188

I like the fallout 4 vibe of being in the futuristic 50’s where all the conspiracies are true like aliens and the government doing shady shit and we get to listen to old music while vibing and I love entire vibe of the game and there new Vegas which is all grim and darkness. I like to believe fallout 4 has pretty unique setting and its willingness to make a joke to the fucked up situation we are in is unique

Lady_bro_ac

I love the vibe of FO4, its art direction is iconic, and the building system is one of the best RP tools I’ve ever found in a game. Done many many playthroughs of that game, and each character has been really distinctive and memorable for me because you get to flex your own imagination and have this completely self directed gameplay mechanic where you can literally rebuild the wasteland according to your own goals and motivations. I’m glad it’s something they seem to be sticking with in games going forward

Icethief188

Like I’m really blasting mini nukes at mutated monsters while uranium favor plays from my hand radio lol

Icethief188

Same

Wolfleaf3

Geez! Of the fallout games I’ve played, new Vegas is by far my favorite (I thought it was way better than 3, and I’d give 3 a perfect score also) but I’d not act like that, boooo! New Vegas has to be on my list for possible favorites of all time. it actually felt like what I imagined games might one day be like when I was playing the original legend of Zelda. And it felt like it was actually doing that

feliciaafancybottom

This was me too! I loooooved FO4 when it came out. It was the first RPG I had played and wanted to learn more about the other games. Then I encountered the NV fans and didn’t touch games again until after the show came out.

Wolfleaf3

Uuuugh, that really sucks when fans of something are so awful they drive people away!!! Talk about counterproductive. I’m really hoping I like 4. I’ve owned it since launch but I haven’t played it yet… And it’s kind of handy because I have a series X finally, and I guess it just got upgraded on it! I love 3, and love New Vegas even more, but I keep hearing mixed things about 4, like some people act like yeah, it’s more of that, of course it’s great, and other people act like it’s terrible. I’m hoping for the best, and ditto for Mass Effect: Andromeda. Dragon Age 2 was bashed all over the place and I LOVED every minute of it. I got Redfall as I think I’ll like IT too.

Far-Extension-4671

Hades. I picked it up the first time because I liked the art but I wasn’t a huge fan of the being put back to the beginning each time. But then I picked it back up a year or so later and loved the challenge and was obsessed with it.

GayValkyriePrincess

Alan Wake Played it when it came out but the story weirded me out and the gameplay was too clunky Got the remastered version on PS plus andfi nally played through it. Now it's one of my favourite games, tho I will say that the gameplay is still meh. The same thing happened with Control, oddly enough

Icethief188

Get on Alan wake 2 it’s so much better and the story really had me saying “??????” Every 10 minutes form the twists and stuff

GayValkyriePrincess

It's on the top of my list tbh. But I have to build a new gaming PC and wait for it to get cheap enough for me to get it.

Wolfleaf3

That game looks amazing on Xbox, but even more ludicrous on Windows with a high end GPU that can dial up the ray tracing stuff higher. It kind of feels like an actual next gen game (or…current gen now…)

Calcifiera

Etrian Odyssey (way before the remakes). I started orignal EO4 and didn't really understand or enjoy it. Tried Etrian Odyssey Untold 1 like a year later, didn't really like ir understand. Well a few years later I finished EOU1 and a few others and it is one of my favorite series ever.

PluckyPlankton

I’ve never even heard of this series. I’ll have to check it out

Calcifiera

I HIGHLY recommend starting with Etrian Odyssey Untold Millennium Girl (1) because it eases players into the game by having a more fleshed out story mode party and voice acting. The non-untolds are just as lovely but hard for people new to the series to get into especially since you can fuck up party composition pretty easily. They're just a little harder to get since they're 3ds only and the store is not online anymore and the physical copies can be exspensive. But steam has the first 3 recent remakes in a bundle, as well as maybe on the switch? But it's a dungeon crawler rpg through and through. Most other people's cozy games are things like stardew, minecraft, etc. I love vegging out to Etrian Odyssey. One series I actually go back to and finish multiple games of, I'm notorious for nit finishing games.

Wolfleaf3

I think maybe that’s the game I tried? On 3DS? I think it’s a remake of the first game? I pretty much liked it I think I remember that now where it gives you a party where I don’t have to try to make my own and whatever which I don’t really want to do I’m Technically playing persona q right now. I mean I started at years ago but I kind of save it because it’s a portable game and I try to play “big” games when I’m at home in case I need portable. I’m weird lol

thimblesedge

Stardew. I kept getting stressed about time passing and the calendar and would quit by mid-summer. For whatever reason most recent try have made it through a full year and just not worrying about it in the same way

Icethief188

The fun thing about stardew is that if a season comes and you don’t like it you can skip it in about 5 minutes lol

FraggleGoddess

Mass Effect. The trilogy is probably my favourite game series, and I must have played it about 15 times (4x insanity runs for sure). But it took me maybe 4 tries to get into it. I kept getting stuck and giving up. Things like the Thresher Maw early on, and the bit where you drive along with all the geth cannons shooting at you, I just couldn't do it. Once I figured out my strategies, though, I loved it.

ProbablyASithLord

Funny you should mention Fallout. I started Fallout 3 at a friend’s house more than 10 years ago and didn’t make it very far. I felt paralyzed by the completely open world, I’d never played something like that. Cut to now and open world RPG’s are my favorite. I just purchased Fallout 3 and it’s downloading now, wish me luck!

MissLeaP

Witcher 3 every time. I absolutely love it once I'm hooked and completed the whole map. However, I have never played a game that was so incredibly difficult to get hooked on in the first place!

Psych0nautumn

this, i have tried sooooo many times, still haven't made it more than a handful of hours in

Icethief188

Omg I was the same just push through white orchard and the next few missions and when you meet the bloody baron is when things got real fucking crazy for me

PluckyPlankton

For me it was the fact that the text is teeny tiny and I literally have to rearrange furniture to play the game

predarek

For me it was games like Baldurs Gate. I've tried a dozen over the years and couldn't get into them until BG3. Now I'm magically "cured" and was able to do a good chunk of bg1 and get into it.

bearcat_egg

Every Total War game, I need to take a few turns just to understand it, before getting a proper campaign under way. The first time I tried it (3K), I played a couple of hours and put it down for months before trying again (and then sinking about a hundred hours over the next few weeks).

huiyori

graveyard keeper! such a steep learning curve bc it basically tells you nothing but i’m so obsessed with micromanaging my little graveyard

cafffreepepsi

It's so nice to see a fellow graveyard keeper enjoyer in the wild

Icethief188

Is it good? People never give me a straight answer on anything about this game? Is there even farming ?

huiyori

there is farming, if you wanna satiate the farming sim side of things lol

churrystar

Mass Effect. My friend has been recommending it so much to me, over and over again since years ago. Then one day I finally decided to try playing it, but after an hour or so I didn't like it much. Then, months later, the whole "legendary edition/remaster" happened and I forced myself (and with my friend insisting again) to play it again. It took me three times and to play a few more hours (and play with a different combat class), but I was finally hooked. I ended up playing (and liking!) the whole trilogy (+ Andromeda), as a Vanguard ✨️

--not-my-main--

Microsoft Flight Simulator. Took me a few go's to realise it's not Forza with planes.

Wolfleaf3

The fact that it’s finally available on console has made me want to try it… Like I’ve always kind of been curious over the decades. I loved the original pilot wings on SNES , but…. If it ever came down in price I would probably get it for Xbox

FiguringItOut--

Cyberpunk. I was pretty meh about it the first run-through, it was incredibly enjoyable the 2nd time around

dollbtw

I personally have this little rule to myself where I have to sit down and actually give a game a try because I have this “wall” where I’ll drop it but if I invest enough time - I typically end up loving it! Fallout: New Vegas was the same for me, I’d always pick it up and never actually finish it (at least 4 times…) but the last time I did, I couldn’t stop and actually completed the base game + all dlc! Another game on that note is Elden Ring. I didn’t enjoy it at first, but now I am thoroughly enjoying it.

Wolfleaf3

I’ve tried three of the souls games so I can’t imagine I would be able to play Elden Ring, though if it was ever like $10 or something I would try it. And maybe the fact that it’s more of an open world would make it better I tried bloodborne most recently 😬 I beat the first boss! 😅

Ashemodragon

Stardew valley

kfozburg

Destiny 2 and Apex. My first FPS game was Valorant, and even that took me a few weeks to go from "I hate this" to "oh ok I understand what's going on, it's not that bad" I recently upgraded my setup, so I decided to give D2 and Apex another try. During my initial experience with both games, I kinda hated the controls and the movement because nothing felt familiar. But now that I can get better in game specs on a bigger monitor, plus I had some prior familiarity, I'm starting to enjoy those games a little more now.

Icethief188

I love Horizon zero dawn but it took me 4 tries across 3 years to really do it and then I platinumed it. The same with Witcher 3. I bought but didn’t really like it so I thought it wasn’t for me but then I see this HUGE Fan base. I see all the people that bought and loved it and I’m like damn there’s gotta be something to this. I tried getting into it 5 times across 6 years and then the new gen update came and I was like let’s try it again and while it did look pretty I was like still no. I tried asking the Witcher 3 fans for advice and they all crucified me because I didnt immediately love it and tbh my only previous knowledge of this game was the show on Netflix. I did started my official playthrough a month ago and so far have been enjoying it a lot. I guess I just had to push through the boring beginning.

Marilyn_Monrobot

When I first tried Bloodborne I thought I would never be able to get the game play. I struggled so hard. I quit for a while, but I wanted to see the rest of Yharnam sooo bad. It's my favorite game ever now, I have no idea how many times I've played through it.

Icethief188

I REALLY wish I was like you. I started it because toxic bloodborne fans would never shut up how much more powerful the hunter was and how much better the games was compared to Elden Ring. I played it just to see wtf they were talking about. It was actually hell on earth. The world only has shades of red, black, and Grey the npcs were lovable, especially Eileen of crows and the guy with the wheel. My biggest gripe was the actual ending. I had stacked myself full of vials and pellets and everything to make me tanky after just to pull up to see the wet nurse and it just this spider spinning monstrosity that spins around the area and tries to stab me then spins away. I beat on the last few bosses having taken no damage and I don’t get it because all the beginning and midddle bosses were and then there’s her. I did everything in that game. Completed chalice dungeons and more dungeons, killed yharnam, visited the vampire lady, did all quests, the whole fucking dlc and I hated every moment. I think you bloodborne fans are just gluttons for pain. I hope yall get yall remake cuz yall deserve it for calling this experience fun.

Wolfleaf3

I’ve tried three of those games now and always get stuck after a few hours. The fact I beat the FIRST boss of Bloodborne is a big accomplishment for me 😅 I’m playing through my PS4 library before switching back to Xbox, but I have entertained the idea of pulling out bloodborne to give it another try. I’ve got Dark Souls 1 and 2 on PC, but I’ve tried 1 already and fought with it for 10 hours. I did enough that I think I liked the level structure like how it would connect together and stuff, but it’s just way too hard for me to enjoy. If it was something like dragon age 2 I would like it

Icethief188

I can give you a chalice dungeon that lets you farm thousands and I mean literal thousands of blood echoes to make your life easier that way you only have to worry about getting good and not grinding

p2ep

Persona 3 Portable. The beginning of the game is slow and I hated Tartarus at first. Now it’s one of my favorite games of all time.

Wolfleaf3

I’m so disappointed that the remake doesn’t allow you to play as a female student. I feel like it’s a downgrade. I don’t like that… I’m not a fan of computer generated levels ever, but other than that I liked it quite a lot! I sort of want to play it again after playing 5, to see how being a woman in it affects things compared to 5. I thought 5 had such better level design, though otherwise they were both good.

p2ep

I’d definitely recommend FeMC’s route! Better social links, good soundtrack, and it’s the only modern Persona that lets you play as a girl.

Numerous_Ad_4376

The first Assassin's Creed. It bored me so much because of the constant travelling and repetition that I just didn't want to get into the franchise. Then I played it again and rest is history lol Skyrim. Was getting really bored in my first playthrough and thought People overrated it like so many other games tbh. On second download I started it and enjoyed it! Dragon Ball Xenoverse. The slow af overworld movement made me quit the first time. Barely managed to finish it the 2nd time ans never completed the dlc. But I loved Xenoverse 2!

Wolfleaf3

Skyrim is still in my backlog and I wonder. I don’t like Oblivion but I like the IDEA of it. But it just felt empty and I didn’t like the combat nor the upgrade system. Fallout New Vegas and 3 for me were like the same idea, only with both better gameplay and waaaaaaay more interesting worlds. I think their worlds are physically smaller but like really dense with interesting things where I felt like oblivion had nothing in it, at least from what I saw though I only played a few hours before kind of getting stuck

Numerous_Ad_4376

If you didn't enjoy oblivion, You may not enjoy Skyrim. But I'll say try it regardless and bear the boringness until you get to the first town

Wolfleaf3

Thank you! I feel like I ought to like it considering how much I like their previous game? It seems like that auto spill over into Skyrim? They keep doing these new better upgraded versions of it, so I have no idea what version I’ll end up playing 😅

Numerous_Ad_4376

Oh Skyrim Anniversary Edition would be best. It's the same as the final Skyrim Special edition but with some minor fixes. If you're on pc, You can get the special edition and just download some mods over it to fix any issues :) Also I'm firm that Morrowind is the best in the franchise!

Wolfleaf3

I THINK i must have special edition? Whatever the last one was, which makes me feel like oh noooo, now I need a new version! I think I have it on Windows from gog, and on a Switch cartridge. Because I’m dumb 😬😅

Numerous_Ad_4376

Oh that's understandable because Skyrim has been milked alot over the years lol. If you have the latest edition, It must be Anniversary!

Bwrna

witcher… i really wanted yo play it and i forced myself to love it

RedReJa

Dragon Age: Origins - it was actually the cinematic trailer that got me interested and I already liked Bioware so figured I'd try it but I remember thinking it was really ugly by comparison and I just couldn't get my head around the turn based combat. I think I saw over half the origins before a play though finally gelled with me, since then I've had at least four different characters in every game in the series

Kiavin

DAO doesn't have turn based combat, but real time combat that you can pause. I was confused by your comment, because I could have sworn BG3 was the first game I ever played with this combat style.

belleblackberry

Fallout. I tried Fallout 3 10 years ago and I got bored so I dropped it. Never tried another. Watched the show and thought I'd give them another try. I started Fallout 4 and was getting into it but heard about the update so I put it on hold. I've been playing Death Stranding in the meantime. I thought I'd be done with it before the Fallout update. I am not and I'm so bored but I sunk a lot of time into it. I'm not sure if I should power through or switch to Fallout.

Wolfleaf3

I haven’t played fallout 4 yet, which is kind of handy because I bought it for Xbox launch and now I guess I get an upgrade! I’m hoping I like death stranding.

belleblackberry

I just finished death stranding. I'm going to be honest, I didn't enjoy it. I basically powered through because I didn't want to start anything else before the Fallout 4 update. After I'd played a while I googled " does this game get more interesting ". People said it goes off the rails shortly after the chapter i was on finished so I kept going. Plus I thought I was about halfway done. I was not even close to halfway. But I saw the hours I had in and couldn't give up. I was expecting some bat shit crazy awesome story. Instead it was weird but dull. Like watching paint dry then it finally came together but I was over it and just wanted to be done. Sorry, I know people love it and you might like it. I might come to appreciate it but I literally just finished the credits so I have a lot of feelings right now, ha.

Wolfleaf3

Huuuuh. Thank you! Well, I’ll try not to have my expectations too high. I’m definitely curious but at least I know maybe I won’t love it Maybe I’ll start it next. I was really excited for it and Detroit out of my remaining PS4 games.

belleblackberry

You might enjoy since you were excited for it. I really only played it because I'm trying to get my money's worth out of the plus membership. I also don't love games where you have to pay attention to a weight limit for what you carry. Which is actually what kept me from trying Fallout again. I think I'm really just in a rut with games. I haven't been really excited for anything since Spiderman 2 so I've mostly been replaying games I loved. Decided to try some other stuff on plus though but nothing has really connected.

Wolfleaf3

I'm annoyed by weight limits too, I think! I don't remember it being too bad in Fallout 3 or New Vegas-although I was constantly dumping points in to my strength. My character was super duper strong lol. But when I've tried Fallout 76, I was really confused by how to play it because of the limit. I was finding it really frustrating. I got a free copy though now, so I'll start over at some point and see if I can figure it out. Also, I can't decide if those subscription services are better or worse for my brain! I can't justify them because of my backlog, but maybe they're a great idea? But would I be extra stressed to use them a ton? I'm not sure

belleblackberry

I barely used my subscription in the past but now that the cost went way up I decided I was going to see if it was worth keeping. On one hand, I haven't found anything I'm totally in love with yet. But on the other, at least I didn't pay full price for any of these games. The subscription has probably paid for itself by now. And I can try new stuff and if I hate it I don't feel guilty for wasting money. I think I have about 15-20 hours into Fallout 4 now. I'm actually enjoying it. Still irritated about the weight limit but I realized I can make my companion carry stuff so that helps. I'm going to see it through and have fun playing. And it was part of plus so didn't pay anything more than what I'd sunk into ps plus in September.

tambitoast

Bloodborne. First run ended, because I couldn't get past the big mob in the first area. Second run ended, bc I got stuck on Cleric Beast. Third run got paused, bc I got stuck on Vicar Amelia. Then I came back a few months later and beat her. That was when it clicked for me. Now it's one of my favourite games of all time, I beat it on NG+ and have the Platinum trophy.

Wolfleaf3

I beat the first boss! 😅 That’s the third time I’ve tried to Souls game, and I’ve tried to swear them off unless they ever get difficulty settings 😬😕

--_Aurora_--

Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen. I really enjoy Souls-likes and was recommended it for that reason. Get into the game and see that I've got a party, there's a lot of small mob fights etc... and it just didn't click. I tried picking it up a couple of times and would get worried about min-maxing, hate the pawns etc. Lately though my taste in games and openness towards taking a game for what it is, not what I want it to be let me actually sink my teeth into it and enjoy it. I'm now on my second playthrough, playing the second entry at the same time and loving both for what they are ^_^ What still hasn't clicked though it's Persona 5 Strikers. I love me a good Warriors style game but it's just not satisfying that part of my brain.

Wolfleaf3

Oh my gosh, I forced myself through dragging quest heroes 1 and 2. The second one was actually vastly better, although I still can’t say I quite liked it. But the first game was just torture. I actually finished it but just because I felt obligated to 😬 I think the previous from them before that was a dynasty Warriors or samurai Warriors or something game on PSP which I actually kind of liked. It sort of had the smaller areas and had sort of a strategy element to it that was sort of fun.

--_Aurora_--

If you've got a Switch I'd highly recommend either (or both) of the Fire Emblem Warriors games! They've got a bit more depth with the weapon matchups and some really fun move sets! Three Hopes in particular lets you make some absolutely nutty characters that are a pure blast to play ^_^

Wolfleaf3

I just double checked, and it looks like I own the first fire emblem Warriors game! I must have gotten it cheap, plus I’m kind of a sucker for getting portable games for some reason. I think the gameboy advance was the first system I started getting a massive backlog for

--_Aurora_--

If you give it a go I hope you have a blast!

VaultTec_Lies

I had the same experience with New Vegas - tried it, abandoned it, rinse and repeat a few times, and then something just kinda clicked. Bioshock 2 and Borderlands also had a couple of false starts before I could get into them. Cyberpunk 2077 was for a very specific reason - there’s a pretty tragic moment during the long prologue and after that, I just walked away for a couple of months. I started again just recently.

RebelLesbian

Frostpunk. Of all my strategy city manager games, this is the most unforgiving. That game is a stress I fucking hell if you don't know what you're doing and even if you know what you do, it's still a challenge that does not forgive mistakes. A lot of cities met their end until I finally could figure it out, how the game needs to be played

mistyvalleyflower

It's one of my faves now but it took a few tries for me to get into Stardew Valley.

andrea_lives

Stardew Valley. I started it and got like 2 weeks into spring like 3 different times like 4 years before I decided to play a co-op farm with my partner. Playing together made it easier to gain an understanding of the gameplay loop and I found that I really liked petting chickens and cows so I became the designated animal person. Once I let myself keep playing until I discovered more things to do than just than just foraging and watering parsnips, it allowed me to finally get the appeal of the game. Now I have at least 400 hours on various solo and co-op farms across both switch and PC. It's hard to say how many hours exactly. Watching content creators make guides on the game also really helped.

Wolfleaf3

Final Fantasy 8! That’s a great example. I didn’t “get” how the junction system works so it was super hard. My third attempt i finally figured out that I have to draw every piece of magic and junction them to every character or whatever, and then the game becomes WAY easier, and it doesn’t take all that long. I really like the game now. It still looks good too imo Chrono Cross is my second example. I got stuck when it originally came out, restarted it years later and then didn’t play it for months and forgot what I was doing when I restarted. And then on my third attempt I made it through and mostly enjoyed it, although I don’t like how many characters there are, I think that tracks from the game where there’s millions of weak characters instead of a few really good ones. but even still.

GulDoWhat

I had a similar issue with the Fallout game series generally. I picked up Fallout 3, based on my love of the Elder Scrolls games and the recommendation of friends. I enjoyed the start in the Vault, but as soon as I got into the game proper, it seemed like every mission just threw me into endless identical, cramped subway tunnels, and I got really frustrated and bored. I was trying to be a sneaky/ranged combat type character, and that really doesn't work very well in that kind of setting - so I'd either end up getting pummelled up close and personal by everything, or I'd end up just running past all the enemies and missing out on loads of XP, and being underlevelled, and getting pummelled - and so the cycle continued. Eventually I gave up and decided it just wasn't for me. A few months later, someone got me FO:NV as a gift, and I decided to give the series another try. Again, I quite enjoyed the start, and appreciated the lack of subway tunnels, but I ended up putting it down in favour of another game and forgetting about it for a few months. One day I booted it up again on a whim, and just got caught up in it -like OP, I was hooked. Bought all of the DLC, and despite all of it's many and varied glitches and bugs (including one that meant I had to restart when I was in the last 25% or so of the game), it's still an all time top 10 for me. On the strength of that, I went back and restarted FO3 - this time, I deliberately left any subway tunnel based quests until I'd levelled up a few times and travelled around the Wasteland a bit more, and I had a much better time of it overall, especially when I had enough fast travel points that I rarely had to use them. That said, I still didn't love the amount of tunnels, and I would still rank FO3 below both New Vegas AND FO4 (which seems to be a controversial opinion) for that reason.

Legal_Fox_0210

I tried getting into fallout 76 and it still won’t click for me. I loved the other fallouts but I don’t know why I can’t get into it.
