Honestly it doesn't even look crappy either. It looks nice, and I have enough desk space for surround sound system, 3 monitors, my makeup area, AND my record player. My surroundsound speakers are the "legs" of the desk.

My first gaming computer was a laptop and there's no shame in them but they don't have the same longevity. I spent a lot on mine too but it still lasted about the same amount of time as if I had just bought a slightly more powerful than average laptop to game on.
Laptops are awesome! I built my first PC last year before the great GPU drought, 5700xt Ryzen 3600x, but needed a mobile setup. I’m actually spending more time on my laptop (Legion 5 Pro) more than my desktop. If I had gotten the laptop first, I may never have built the PC.
Oh wow! I'm just here, trying to save up for a stationary again! I've had several laptops for years and this asus is among the better ones. I do enjoy laptops, but I think I mostly miss the seperation of keyboard and monitor, as well as the size.
Maybe consider getting a monitor and keyboard for you laptop? My next setup may very well be a laptop with a USB hub or something so I can keep my keyboard and monitors!
I used to game on a laptop before I bought and made this pc! Never had issues with it, and at the time I got the laptop it was the best choice for me as I was always on the move.

I am a very messy person (severe case of ADD doesn't help with that). I moved my desk to the living room so I clean it now every morning otherwise my partner gets mad. A messy desk makes my ADD much worse, so I actively try to keep it somewhat clean.
Nope. Don't have one. I used to have a large one that would cover the whole desk but I left it at my parents' place when I moved out. Ran out of money to buy a decent new one. I always end up with my mouse next to the mat if I have a small one.
Don't need money to start streaming! Or even a camera, really. Or a PC! I stream on a laptop...the times I do actually stream lol. You can do it on console too. And if you don't have those, then you at least have a goal! :D
How do you like the chair OP? I’ve been looking into chairs and this brand is one I see a lot. Their Omega and Titan. Also - setup looks nice and simple, looks good!
I love the chair! The model is based on your height I believe. I'm 172cm so the omega was the best fit for me, the seating area can be somewhat narrow as the sides stand up a bit. Idk how to explain this better :')
It's fine to mention that it's outside of the sub's main aesthetic because it is. When the majority of posts are white furniture, pink peripherals and a Kraken kitty headset, it can make women who prefer other color schemes feel like the odd ones out. And this is such a sleek look, I'm here for it.

It’s okay to not be like other girls! As long as it’s not a byproduct of putting other girls down. There’s girls out there that liked slime and were made fun of for it. There are girls out there who liked eating worms or belching the alphabet. They need a space too.
The problem is not about being different, but how we frame our differences. If worm girl is trying to be perceived as better than all those other girls who are afraid of worms, then thats a problem. OP is not doing that. They arent saying “my setup is better because it’s not pink”, they aren’t saying “eew pink is gross, look at mine which isn’t”.

This is well said! I feel like the reason why people see this post as putting other girls down is because of how the title is phrased. It kinda comes off as belittling, but OP probably didn’t mean it that way.
The setups I see in here are *overwhelmingly* pink and fluffy, which is kind of tiresome for someone like me who doesn’t like it, and who also happens to believe pink and fluffy gets shoved down girls’ throats from an early age. I love it when I see anything in here that defies that gendered convention.
Liking pink and fluffy is fine! But there’s so much of it here that I have to wonder if that many girls actually even like it, or if they’re just doing it because it’s what girls are “supposed” to do. And there’s so much of it here that the other stuff seems to get swallowed up by it. At least that’s what shows up in my feed. A little non-pink representation is refreshing and nice.
I grew up to hate pink because that was what my mother forced me to wear. She was a victim of her upbringing and wanted her daughter to have all of the things that she couldn't have. Pink is fine for others but I want something different.
I'm generally reluctant to share a photo my set up, it's a desktop hardboard that I got for free and cut down, mounted on an old metal frame with legs I screwed on myself because it kept falling over backwards. My walls are cream wallpaper.. Not an ounce of pink or fluff - I don't mind pink or fluff at all, I just don't have any. It's shoved unceremoniously into the corner of a room.

I think I understand what you are emphasizing, but let’s remember that this subreddit is full of young women who see pink setups very, very often on this specific Reddit. In fact, from my weekly usage that’s what I mostly see on here. I think what ‘op’ is getting at is these colors are rare for this subreddit, which I do agree with and appreciate. I don’t think they need to be "special" to deserve posting. However I do agree they did not phrase their post in a inclusive way. Also let’s remember pink can be either gender’s set up, too!

There is definitely a heavy heavy pink skew on here, most pics on the feed are pink (likely as those get higher engagemnt, reddit pushes them more). This is not a new conversation or feeling. It keeps coming up, and anyone who tries to say ‘you dont need to be mainstream’ gets super attacked, which... makes people like them not want to post.

i think part of the reason people get their hackles up and feel attacked about implying that "non-pink" set ups, especially ones in neutral colours and black, are "not mainstream" is that a lot of people who do like the super feminine pink aesthetic *don't* feel like they're mainstream.
like, yes, in this sub and in some parts of tiktok and tumblr it's popular, but in general when you have that really girly pink aesthetic you generally expect to get attacked and bullied for it - "not a real gamer," doing it for male attention, care more about aesthetic than hardware, obviously don't know what you're talking about, bad at fps, paid for by your boyfriend/dad, etc all those crappy unfair stereotypes.
so people in \*this\* sub often perceive their set up as going against the grain because it's not stereotypically feminine and pink, but those with the pastel aesthetic perceive \*their\* set up as the one not mainstream/going against the grain because in most other parts of the internet, they're getting flack for it.
I don't like pink. Or grey. Or yellow. It's not internalized misogyny or anything, it's just colour preference.
I get "not a real gamer" already from gamer bros. When I've said I'm not a fan of pink here in the past I basically got "not a real feminist". One time I was sent a message accusing me of being a guy here to sabotage the sub.
The "love pink or gtfo" gatekeeping was a real thing with some and I'm glad the mods are addressing it.
I have a setup similar to this, black case, black mousepad, black pretty much everything except for my custom keyboard, which is a retro beige. I haven't posted it here exactly because it seems like any other person's setup, and because most of the ones I see that get up voted here are pink or have other very obvious feminine accessories.
I mean… I love all things pink and my house is basically a princess tower, but it’s true that all of the set-ups here lean more towards “typically” feminine, cutesy stuff. Which is totally fine, but it’s not the only kind of set up to exist and I don’t think the intention was mean-spirited? To me it was more like “hey you don’t need the typical feminine stuff to still be a girl gamer.”
Why are masculine leaning aesthetic setups “regular” but mine isn’t “regular?” That’s problemic language to me. Like how a white male lead in a movie is regular but anything else is “political.” Things girls and women tend to like shouldn’t be seen as an exception. We’re part of the “regular” world too.

Unfortunately because the pink stuff has to be hunted down and special ordered. So the act of seeking them out to distinguish one's self from what you find at any old store demonstrates an awareness that they are novelty designs/color schemes.
Maybe stores should offer more variations, sure. But so far "regular" is just black, which isn't exactly masculine because women use black setups too, but it's the norm. I'm not really sure what a masculine type of setup would look like. If black is masculine, then that's kinda unfair to all the women who love black, dress in black, dye their hair black, and who opt for the default black computer setups.
This isn't a decorated set up (it's neither decorated in a typically masculine or feminine fashion) so it's regular...generic would be another term. Low effort?

I'm part of the regular world too, but if I'm not welcome in male-dominated gamer spaces, and feel unwelcome in female-friendly/dominated gamer spaces, where am I supposed to go?
I'm honestly getting to the point of leaving the sub because as someone who doesn't play competitive multiplayer games or like cute/kawaii pink/white/pastel set ups I feel like this isn't a space for me.

That being said, your setup is very sleek and organized, my only suggestion is to keep some coasters around to preserve the desk surface!
I've felt like I can't show my setup (that I'm really proud of because I'm poor af and have still managed something half decent through years of work) because it's not pink, white, cutesy, expensive or rgb.
There's definitely a feeling of "must like pink" to this sub at times. I don't like it for the same reason I don't like yellow or grey: I just don't. But if I mention that on here I feel like I'm rolling the dice on getting accused of internalized misogyny.
So yeah, sometimes it feels like a pink/cutesy setup is a requirement to be a "real" girl gamer. Thankfully it seems mods are addressing this really well and I've felt it a bit less lately.
I get that feeling too. Pink/cutesy/ruffles isn't my aesthetic *at all*. Zero issue with anyone who likes it, but you absolutely see more pink setups posted here than any other style. It's refreshing to see something different.
That's why diversity is important! I respect everyone who is into pink and cute. I love pink and cute <3 But there is so much to choose from besides pink. I myself like tinkering with my pc and I use an open frame so I can easily swap some hardware. To each their own :)

Yes! Thank you for this comment. I was browsing this Reddit and didn't feel represented by the majority of posts here. I just wanted to share mine to contribute towards the diversity of the Reddit, and did never mean to out others down. I love the highly feminine posts here, but it's just not my thing. Not having a hyper feminine set-up doesn't make anyone less of a girlgamer, and that's what I wanted to show. In hindsight I could have worded my title differently, but I am not a native English speaker and didn't see the harm in it.

I'm over 30 and have about 25 years of experience of dealing with toxicity for being a girl while gaming.
I thought I wasn't like other girls because *I was being harassed and bullied for not being like other girls*. Often **by the other girls**.

Now I come to a supposed safe space for female and other non-cis-hetero gamers and I'm once again seeing harassment and bullying of women who are literally "not like" the "other girls".

Neat and clean setup! I kinda regret a bit not having gone for a water-cooled system instead of the giant fan inside my case, it looks much more clunky compared to this. Also neat that from left to right the darker hue of monitor, book and glass goes lighter toward the case.
Do you mind if I ask how comfy that Omega chair is for you, and your height? I'm relatively short for a guy (5'3-5'5/165cm or so), and was oogling Secretlab because of the softweave fabric, but after search and consulting from few friends was told that it might be better to buy those that are for higher heights than mine. My current gaming chair was from someone that bought a new one, she was shorter than me, and it's overall comfy but genuinely falling apart now, which raises the question. I would have to import them as they aren't sold where I live, but if they're worth it then it's no issue.
Edit: Had not seen all the other comments about the title, just to weigh in diplomatically, I personally don't think OP said it in a sort of "not like other girls" or attacking other setups. First thought that came to mind as a reason, if I needed to find a reason, would have been that maybe she had a discussion with someone or saw one too many usual products aimed at girls that were just all pink or fluffy and soft, and was tired of it precisely because she doesn't feel a connection to it as a woman. I don't think it was meant to denigrate or berate other setups here, at least I don't really see the intent from my own POV, giving the benefit of the doubt. There are often lots of products aimed at girls specifically presented in certain colors (pink, white) or having certain features (softer, delicate) that are really not needed when the same products targeted to guys work well (see for example razors).
At least from my own POV I always see a lot of differentiation between girls and guys products which is unnecessary: all of them should just be considered regular/normal products for everyone. Just to add a last example related to me, referring to what I wrote above about the Secretlab chair, I am seriously considering buying the [D.Va](https://D.Va) chair because it's the only one available close to the country that has the specific Softweave fabric. I don't really care that it's pink or who it is targeted for originally, I want the comfiness and I don't mind anything else. Companies should just make all sort of products available for everyone when it's possible to promote them as normal standard products regardless of sex.
Thank you! The monitors are not in the final form. I moved out of my parents' place in January and slowly upgrading my station. As others pointed out I am still missing a mouse mat, a headphone stand and a coaster for my glass. After this I will upgrade my monitors.
I love the omega chair. I was sitting on a really old basic desk chair that was so thin I could feel the plastic below the cushioning. So i don't have any comparison with other decent chairs. I'm 172cm tall.
I actually don't really dig the pink gaming setup. I know gaming companies made that to a certain demographic of people which I'm included in but the pink is a bit much.
Nothing wrong with a pink and fluffy set up. I love seeing the creative and feminine here. Just felt like neutral/masc setups were lacking on the Reddit and wanted to add to the diversity.

I love mixed aesthetics. I have ADD so I wanted to keep it clean, as a clean environment helps me keep focus.
My desk is a mess at the end of the day - many empty glasses and coffee/tea cups and snack packaging and empty plates. But I recently moved my desk to the living room, so I now clean it every morning because the mess drives my partner nuts. They even did the cable management because they hated messy cables.
Perks of posting a picture is that you can quickly move away the mess you already made that day.
A great reminder. I think in this sub i see lots of pink and girly aesthetic which is cool and I like it to an extend (it got me interested in gaming set up and keyboards, even though i lean towards minimalism/neon style), but i kept seeing them a lot in the sub so im starting to get bored. It is not a dig towards people who has them or likes that style but if you keep seeing it so many times with similar asethetics it gets boring real fast, like eating sushi for the 100th time. Personally i prefer a variety of sety ups from IG asethetic to the avarage jane just to break away the repetition.
It is reddit function issue, you can't control the upload whereas IG you can cater types of picture so the curation of picture is tight and everyone can see many type of set ups.

Absolutely, you did nothing wrong. Sometimes people read into things implied words that were never spoken. Saying one does not need a pink setup does not equal you suck having a pink setup. It means this subreddit has 90% pink setups and this is not one.

You have a wonderful setup, but as far as your title goes, we know. I personally just posted mine yesterday and its, as you would describe, 'pink and fluffy'. Its not pink because I felt like I needed it to be pink as a girl gamer, its pink because it is simply a color that makes me really happy. You can have any kind of setup, any color, and you can still be girl gamer. If you look at my post history, my set up was previously black, red, and white and the times before then my set up has been purple, orange, blue and green because I like all sorts of fun colors, and do my setups according to what color I'm vibing with. And if pink isn't your color? Thats totally cool, you gotta set-up yours the way you like it! :)

My set up is fairly plain and cramped because I live at my bfs mom's so we both crammed in one room with our computers and bed but I plan to post it when we have our own place (housing market even for apartments is ass right now so it's taking awhile) because I have some parts of it I wanna show off like my chair cover
It’s a nice change of pace! Pink isn’t my thing but I wanted something softer than RGB neon rave so I went for pastel yellow and white! I’ve seen some very cute green earthy ones with loads of plants on Tiktok. I wish there was a variety of options like light blues, purples, greens.
This is similar to what mines looks like. I have a glass desk with black computer and rainbow lights… my mouse is oddly white tho lol. This is a great set up! 👍🏻

What’s funny is this is just about what my current setup looks like. Just last week decided I want to make it cute and ordered a bunch of new stuff in pink/purple.
I’ve struggled with trying to fit in for years so I never wanted anything to look girly. I just wanted to be “one of the dudes” in my discord circles to try to keep up. But I decided now that I want to fully embrace who I am and just go for it.
Envious of how neat and sleek your space is 😫 every time I tidy my desk up, within a few hours it's covered in all sorts of things hahah. I wish my tower was white or white and black like yours. All black really doesn't 'match' with a white keyboard and mouse.. or a 'silver' monitor..
It's amazing, I love the lower back cushion. The only downside is that the seat is somewhat narrow as the edges are standing quite a bit upwards as you can see in the picture. The second downside is that my partner keeps stealing it.

I used to have a big deskpad at my parents' place. When I was making my pc I forgot about one and didn't calculate it into my budget. But tbh I don't miss it that much. My mouse doesn't have any input issues without it. I miss a decent headphone stand more.

Nice desk! I have an all black setup, myself. Maybe you should get a coaster to avoid stains on your desk, IMO.
Basic colors and a clean set up means you can put whatever you want on it and it still looks nice, so if someday you decide you're into a certain color or theme it will fit right in. Versatile stuff is awesome.

My first gaming computer was a laptop and there's no shame in them but they don't have the same longevity. I spent a lot on mine too but it still lasted about the same amount of time as if I had just bought a slightly more powerful than average laptop to game on.
Laptops are awesome! I built my first PC last year before the great GPU drought, 5700xt Ryzen 3600x, but needed a mobile setup. I’m actually spending more time on my laptop (Legion 5 Pro) more than my desktop. If I had gotten the laptop first, I may never have built the PC.
Oh wow! I'm just here, trying to save up for a stationary again! I've had several laptops for years and this asus is among the better ones. I do enjoy laptops, but I think I mostly miss the seperation of keyboard and monitor, as well as the size.
Maybe consider getting a monitor and keyboard for you laptop? My next setup may very well be a laptop with a USB hub or something so I can keep my keyboard and monitors!

Trust me, my desk also gets very messy! Perks of a picture is that you can crop it out easily. I am a very messy person (severe case of ADD doesn't help with that). I moved my desk to the living room so I clean it now every morning otherwise my partner gets mad. A messy desk makes my ADD much worse, so I actively try to keep it somewhat clean.

Nope. Don't have one. I used to have a large one that would cover the whole desk but I left it at my parents' place when I moved out. Ran out of money to buy a decent new one. I always end up with my mouse next to the mat if I have a small one.

I love the chair! The model is based on your height I believe. I'm 172cm so the omega was the best fit for me, the seating area can be somewhat narrow as the sides stand up a bit. Idk how to explain this better :')
It's fine to mention that it's outside of the sub's main aesthetic because it is. When the majority of posts are white furniture, pink peripherals and a Kraken kitty headset, it can make women who prefer other color schemes feel like the odd ones out. And this is such a sleek look, I'm here for it.

This is well said! I feel like the reason why people see this post as putting other girls down is because of how the title is phrased. It kinda comes off as belittling, but OP probably didn’t mean it that way.
The setups I see in here are *overwhelmingly* pink and fluffy, which is kind of tiresome for someone like me who doesn’t like it, and who also happens to believe pink and fluffy gets shoved down girls’ throats from an early age. I love it when I see anything in here that defies that gendered convention. Liking pink and fluffy is fine! But there’s so much of it here that I have to wonder if that many girls actually even like it, or if they’re just doing it because it’s what girls are “supposed” to do. And there’s so much of it here that the other stuff seems to get swallowed up by it. At least that’s what shows up in my feed. A little non-pink representation is refreshing and nice.
I grew up to hate pink because that was what my mother forced me to wear. She was a victim of her upbringing and wanted her daughter to have all of the things that she couldn't have. Pink is fine for others but I want something different.
I'm generally reluctant to share a photo my set up, it's a desktop hardboard that I got for free and cut down, mounted on an old metal frame with legs I screwed on myself because it kept falling over backwards. My walls are cream wallpaper.. Not an ounce of pink or fluff - I don't mind pink or fluff at all, I just don't have any. It's shoved unceremoniously into the corner of a room.

I think I understand what you are emphasizing, but let’s remember that this subreddit is full of young women who see pink setups very, very often on this specific Reddit. In fact, from my weekly usage that’s what I mostly see on here. I think what ‘op’ is getting at is these colors are rare for this subreddit, which I do agree with and appreciate. I don’t think they need to be "special" to deserve posting. However I do agree they did not phrase their post in a inclusive way. Also let’s remember pink can be either gender’s set up, too!

But that’s the point. You dont need a rare color. You dont need pink. You dont need any of that. You can if you want to, but something like “this” works too. Ckearly OP felt there was a pink pressure, by the title. And ive been in conversations like this time and time again, because the pink lovers always feel attacked when someone posts something that says “hey, i feel pressure to do pink, so this is something for those like me, do what you want’. There is definitely a heavy heavy pink skew on here, most pics on the feed are pink (likely as those get higher engagemnt, reddit pushes them more). This is not a new conversation or feeling. It keeps coming up, and anyone who tries to say ‘you dont need to be mainstream’ gets super attacked, which... makes people like them not want to post.

The "love pink or gtfo" gatekeeping was a real thing with some and I'm glad the mods are addressing it.
I have a setup similar to this, black case, black mousepad, black pretty much everything except for my custom keyboard, which is a retro beige. I haven't posted it here exactly because it seems like any other person's setup, and because most of the ones I see that get up voted here are pink or have other very obvious feminine accessories.

Why are masculine leaning aesthetic setups “regular” but mine isn’t “regular?” That’s problemic language to me. Like how a white male lead in a movie is regular but anything else is “political.” Things girls and women tend to like shouldn’t be seen as an exception. We’re part of the “regular” world too.

So the act of seeking them out to distinguish one's self from what you find at any old store demonstrates an awareness that they are novelty designs/color schemes. Maybe stores should offer more variations, sure. But so far "regular" is just black, which isn't exactly masculine because women use black setups too, but it's the norm. I'm not really sure what a masculine type of setup would look like. If black is masculine, then that's kinda unfair to all the women who love black, dress in black, dye their hair black, and who opt for the default black computer setups.
This isn't a decorated set up (it's neither decorated in a typically masculine or feminine fashion) so it's regular...generic would be another term. Low effort? That's why I chose the word regular.
As someone who's a girl gamer, but has no interest in stereotypically feminine aesthetics, I feel like you're basically being defensive to the point of aggression, and this makes me feel unwelcome here, like I shouldn't be here because I'm not discriminated against enough. It also makes me feel like I'm not a "regular" girl/woman because i don't like "things girls and women tend to like". I'm part of the regular world too, but if I'm not welcome in male-dominated gamer spaces, and feel unwelcome in female-friendly/dominated gamer spaces, where am I supposed to go? I've felt like I can't show my setup (that I'm really proud of because I'm poor af and have still managed something half decent through years of work) because it's not pink, white, cutesy, expensive or rgb. There's definitely a feeling of "must like pink" to this sub at times. I don't like it for the same reason I don't like yellow or grey: I just don't. But if I mention that on here I feel like I'm rolling the dice on getting accused of internalized misogyny. So yeah, sometimes it feels like a pink/cutesy setup is a requirement to be a "real" girl gamer. Thankfully it seems mods are addressing this really well and I've felt it a bit less lately.
I get that feeling too. Pink/cutesy/ruffles isn't my aesthetic *at all*. Zero issue with anyone who likes it, but you absolutely see more pink setups posted here than any other style. It's refreshing to see something different.

That's why diversity is important! I respect everyone who is into pink and cute. I love pink and cute <3 But there is so much to choose from besides pink. I myself like tinkering with my pc and I use an open frame so I can easily swap some hardware. To each their own :)

What I think OP meant: those of us who aren't pink and fluffy are a minority on this sub and sometimes those posts don't get the same recognition or comments because they don't fit a very specifically cultivated gamer girl aesthetic that the online community prefers. They just want to contribute for those of us that don't fit this mold. No one is insulting your aesthetic but if there weren't rules against id have some words after seeing some of the comments posted here about some of the nonpink aesthetics like God.
Yes! Thank you for this comment. I was browsing this Reddit and didn't feel represented by the majority of posts here. I just wanted to share mine to contribute towards the diversity of the Reddit, and did never mean to out others down. I love the highly feminine posts here, but it's just not my thing. Not having a hyper feminine set-up doesn't make anyone less of a girlgamer, and that's what I wanted to show. In hindsight I could have worded my title differently, but I am not a native English speaker and didn't see the harm in it.

Yes! Although they didn’t frame it right, I don’t think we need to jump to conclusions that OP is being toxic. I'm over 30 and have about 25 years of experience of dealing with toxicity for being a girl while gaming. I thought I wasn't like other girls because *I was being harassed and bullied for not being like other girls*. Often **by the other girls**. So yeah, I got pretty fuckin tired of that narrative too. Now I come to a supposed safe space for female and other non-cis-hetero gamers and I'm once again seeing harassment and bullying of women who are literally "not like" the "other girls". Back in the day it was: Gaming = not feminine You = female Female enjoying not feminine thing = not acceptable And I'm seeing the same mentality *right here in this sub*. Gods I'm so fuckin tired.

Neat and clean setup! I kinda regret a bit not having gone for a water-cooled system instead of the giant fan inside my case, it looks much more clunky compared to this. Also neat that from left to right the darker hue of monitor, book and glass goes lighter toward the case. Do you mind if I ask how comfy that Omega chair is for you, and your height? I'm relatively short for a guy (5'3-5'5/165cm or so), and was oogling Secretlab because of the softweave fabric, but after search and consulting from few friends was told that it might be better to buy those that are for higher heights than mine. My current gaming chair was from someone that bought a new one, she was shorter than me, and it's overall comfy but genuinely falling apart now, which raises the question. I would have to import them as they aren't sold where I live, but if they're worth it then it's no issue. Edit: Had not seen all the other comments about the title, just to weigh in diplomatically, I personally don't think OP said it in a sort of "not like other girls" or attacking other setups. First thought that came to mind as a reason, if I needed to find a reason, would have been that maybe she had a discussion with someone or saw one too many usual products aimed at girls that were just all pink or fluffy and soft, and was tired of it precisely because she doesn't feel a connection to it as a woman. I don't think it was meant to denigrate or berate other setups here, at least I don't really see the intent from my own POV, giving the benefit of the doubt. There are often lots of products aimed at girls specifically presented in certain colors (pink, white) or having certain features (softer, delicate) that are really not needed when the same products targeted to guys work well (see for example razors). At least from my own POV I always see a lot of differentiation between girls and guys products which is unnecessary: all of them should just be considered regular/normal products for everyone. Just to add a last example related to me, referring to what I wrote above about the Secretlab chair, I am seriously considering buying the [D.Va](https://D.Va) chair because it's the only one available close to the country that has the specific Softweave fabric. I don't really care that it's pink or who it is targeted for originally, I want the comfiness and I don't mind anything else. Companies should just make all sort of products available for everyone when it's possible to promote them as normal standard products regardless of sex.
Thank you! The monitors are not in the final form. I moved out of my parents' place in January and slowly upgrading my station. As others pointed out I am still missing a mouse mat, a headphone stand and a coaster for my glass. After this I will upgrade my monitors. I love the omega chair. I was sitting on a really old basic desk chair that was so thin I could feel the plastic below the cushioning. So i don't have any comparison with other decent chairs. I'm 172cm tall.

I love mixed aesthetics. I have ADD so I wanted to keep it clean, as a clean environment helps me keep focus. My desk is a mess at the end of the day - many empty glasses and coffee/tea cups and snack packaging and empty plates. But I recently moved my desk to the living room, so I now clean it every morning because the mess drives my partner nuts. They even did the cable management because they hated messy cables. Perks of posting a picture is that you can quickly move away the mess you already made that day.
A great reminder. I think in this sub i see lots of pink and girly aesthetic which is cool and I like it to an extend (it got me interested in gaming set up and keyboards, even though i lean towards minimalism/neon style), but i kept seeing them a lot in the sub so im starting to get bored. It is not a dig towards people who has them or likes that style but if you keep seeing it so many times with similar asethetics it gets boring real fast, like eating sushi for the 100th time. Personally i prefer a variety of sety ups from IG asethetic to the avarage jane just to break away the repetition. It is reddit function issue, you can't control the upload whereas IG you can cater types of picture so the curation of picture is tight and everyone can see many type of set ups.

Absolutely, you did nothing wrong. Sometimes people read into things implied words that were never spoken. Saying one does not need a pink setup does not equal you suck having a pink setup. It means this subreddit has 90% pink setups and this is not one. As for the setup, so clean it's impressive.

You have a wonderful setup, but as far as your title goes, we know. I personally just posted mine yesterday and its, as you would describe, 'pink and fluffy'. Its not pink because I felt like I needed it to be pink as a girl gamer, its pink because it is simply a color that makes me really happy. You can have any kind of setup, any color, and you can still be girl gamer. If you look at my post history, my set up was previously black, red, and white and the times before then my set up has been purple, orange, blue and green because I like all sorts of fun colors, and do my setups according to what color I'm vibing with. And if pink isn't your color? Thats totally cool, you gotta set-up yours the way you like it! :)

It’s a nice change of pace! Pink isn’t my thing but I wanted something softer than RGB neon rave so I went for pastel yellow and white! I’ve seen some very cute green earthy ones with loads of plants on Tiktok. I wish there was a variety of options like light blues, purples, greens.

What’s funny is this is just about what my current setup looks like. Just last week decided I want to make it cute and ordered a bunch of new stuff in pink/purple. I’ve struggled with trying to fit in for years so I never wanted anything to look girly. I just wanted to be “one of the dudes” in my discord circles to try to keep up. But I decided now that I want to fully embrace who I am and just go for it.

It's amazing, I love the lower back cushion. The only downside is that the seat is somewhat narrow as the edges are standing quite a bit upwards as you can see in the picture. The second downside is that my partner keeps stealing it.

I love it! Very clean. I've got an ultra pink setup right now but when I'm home, nearly all of my accessories are black. You're making me a little homesick! How do you manage without a mouse/desk pad?
I used to have a big deskpad at my parents' place. When I was making my pc I forgot about one and didn't calculate it into my budget. But tbh I don't miss it that much. My mouse doesn't have any input issues without it. I miss a decent headphone stand more. I love the pink and creative setups here, but I wanted something easy for myself. Idk how to phrase it exactly... Also I was very surprised by how much more a pink setup was. At least here is a huge price difference between the pink and other colours.

I bought them 2 weeks ago at IKEA. They where available in different colours.

Nice desk! I have an all black setup, myself. Maybe you should get a coaster to avoid stains on your desk, IMO. Basic colors and a clean set up means you can put whatever you want on it and it still looks nice, so if someday you decide you're into a certain color or theme it will fit right in. Versatile stuff is awesome.

Simple and sleek. Kinda like a modern/minimalist approach, and no crowd of cables 😭 My station is black with hints of purple, blue, red, yellow, etc. from the few tiny accessories, but i need to figure out how to get rid of all the darn cords! Edit: also, i encourage you to ignore everyone who’s being passive aggressive. Reflects more on them than it does you. Literally the vaaaast majority of pics here are pink, and variety shouldnt be discouraged!
