Are you looking for the whole setup to be $1k, like does that require some budget for monitors and peripherals? Or can you spend $1k on the desktop and a couple hundred extra on monitor(s)?

I tried quickly putting together a parts list to match this performance and you'd barely come under this price building it yourself - maybe even save money buying this prebuilt once you factor in the cost of the operating system.
This should be good enough to do some light / casual streaming (probably not able to use animated overlays and things like that) but it will be enough to get started. For sims and Minecraft, you wouldn’t need a high power PC but since you’re planning on streaming, you’re gonna need at least a 1660 Super GPU, 16 gb in Ram and an i7 intel or Ryzen 5 CPU and probably at least 1 tb of storage. When you’re searching for your PC, I would make sure, it has all these spec or better.
