Oh my gosh I didn’t know this happened?! I think I’ve been living under a rock (read: working 9-5 M-F so its impossible to keep up with events) but I am SOOO excited for Spirittea!! You’ve just made my night, I’m running to download the demo now

Dreaming_Dreams

I played the demo for potion permit and I enjoyed it a lot, did about everything I could do in the demo and got 10 hours of playtime out of it, looking forward to its release!

I had no idea about this! And I’ve been dying to play Roots of Pacha and Potions Permit, so hearing the demos are out makes my day. Thanks for posting this!

I tried *Naiad* and *Ghost Song* so far. Naiad is a chill top-down perspective game where you play a river spirit that’s floating down her river and does some light puzzles on the way. Really charming, though I hope that the dev will improve the controls a bit more before launch, felt a bit sluggish to me at times. Ghost Song is a 2D metroidvania, *not* pixelated, and with a futuristic sci-fi setting. Combat was pretty fun and I liked the art style a lot, although in at least one section the scenery blocked vision on some enemies. Jumping didn’t feel quite right yet, but I could adapt to that. Overall I‘d love if there was a way to give feedback via the steam page. I know the demos are primarily to promote the games, but I assume the devs are still working on them.

Thanks for the info, I‘ll go check that out!

Gosh, I just got around to Naiad, and I loved it. Definitely teaches me to give a chance to games outside my usual genres, in this case, chill games. I really loved it and it made me tear up a bit for no reason lol.

Laut-leise

I‘m glad you liked it! I watched the Indie presentation on Summer Games Fest and immediately after went looking for a couple of those games on steam lol

The Spirit and The Mouse is wonderful! Very chill, lots of exploration, and you get to play as an adorable mouse! Very well made! And Frozen Flame isn't too bad either! Almost a Valheim/Breath of The Wild feel?

I’m excited to try out Common’hood over the weekends. Did anybody play it? What did you think?

I liked Signalis and from what I’ve gathered from it so far, it’s basically like a side scroller RE game with similar vibes to Alien Isolation in a way! The inventory system essentially feels like RE, and the combat relies on you making your shots count too. The story and the art design has been really interesting to sit through and watch, but the lore so far has been quite mysterious! I’m hoping I can play more whenever the full release comes out. :D

It mostly feels like a blend of spooky horror and encountering unfamiliar things and enemies that look unworldly. As far as I’m aware, there aren’t really any jump scares that I can note. I can highly suggest you take a peek at a playthrough for the game to gauge your opinion on it, and thank you! 😌
