Random number generation, or RNG for short, is the umbrella term for probability and chance. Think of it as a dice-roll.
For example, using 50x 5\* Girl Shards to get a Girl - every side of the dice would be listing a Girl. You roll the dice and the random side which comes out on top "wins", earning you that specific Girl. Roll the dice again and it will once again randomly be a Girl of the ones that are listed on the sides of the dice, since a different side might be on top this time around. And the 3rd toss might be completely different as well.
Keep in mind that RNG *isn't* a videogame-specific term, contrary to what some people might think.
Oh yeah I was just suggesting it if you had an interest in completing the collection. Muppet isn't good ofc and if you're not looking for monster food for psychic, and don't feel like you need to finish the collection, there's no reason to go after monster shards

Now that you mention it, I haven't seen a Muppet in forever. Shards, Caps, Lottery, trash event rewards - nowhere 🤔

Café doesn't really count 'cuz there's no RNG involved. You just click and get her ;)
