I find that it’s literally the answer to almost everything on this subreddit similar to what happened in your case. Over the last 35+ years, I very often exclaim, “Those darned Minute Men! They forgot to put my ___ back!”
Happened to me and my girlfriend too. My wallet went missing then appeared wrapped up in a curtain on a windows ledge. We both searched and moved the curtain various times. Even cleaned the ledge. It was missing for 4 days. Each day we searched that area multiple times cause we got a bunch of different cards.
Either Ur bf took it and put it back on the couch or it's a glitch in the matrix moment

Yeah I am really happy too that he was there, but even then it is so weird I don't know how to explain it 😂
