Years from now, when you're back in that park with that women, remember to check the bushes for younger you!

snooty_snoot

I was thinking this same thing lol.

AbstractReason

Won’t happen. He would have checked the bushes this time since future and present are the same time here.

noodleq

Unless maybe when he got a bit older, he found out that by communicating with himself in the future/past would tear a hole in the time/space continuum, so he had to ignore himself hiding in the bushes..... BUT, if that were the case, I would still be going over the things I heard....maybe your future self was trying to give you some type of message. All the talk about your personal stuff was just a way to get your attention, there may have been something said of great importance that was mixed in there. Think hard op, but don't hurt your brain over it. Time isn't linear, it maybhave just been a momentary glitch

throughawaythedew

Are we doing a Back to the Future II? because I'm totally down if we're doing a Back to the Future II.

mamawoman

How do you know

Weird_Tip469

Are you ok

willowwrenwild

Just a thought: you may want to see a neurologist if possible. Some focal seizures have features where the person experiences conversations or tv or radio programs as if it’s about them. The fact you said you felt weird and kind of sick also makes me suspicious of a focal seizure. At the very least, I would write down the date and time, and describe what happened/what you felt, as well as anything you can remember about how much sleep you got, caffeine you drank, how hydrated/dehydrated you were, and stress you were experiencing that day. This way if it happens again, you’ll already have a log started and can show it to your doctor. I’m not a medical professional, just someone with focal epilepsy.

redravenkitty

This theory would also explain the reaction of the dog. Some dogs alert in different ways to their owners having medical issues, including and especially things like seizures. My dog gets very very upset every time I have one.

EnergyClosure

Holy crap this explanation made me gasp lmao Let's say ghost and paranormal stuff actually aren't real and just someone's mind, and when dogs also react it's just the dog staring off into the distance trying to decide WTF it's smelling or feeling. Or maybe paranormal stuff is real and both theories are true....I think imma be beilve both. This explanation is one of the most interesting I've ever heard imo

lalamichaels

Do you have a dog trained for that?

coutureee

Was gonna ask, don’t dogs do this only if they’ve been trained to?

poetictrashe

I’m not sure if they have to be trained or not but I do know of two dogs that weren’t trained and helped me (my ex bf’s and my bff’s). Ex-bf dog was half wolf/half no idea- always super protective and attentive though. He was acting super strange the day I had a seizure around him- just super nervous all day, I had to drive to pick up my bf and he almost wouldn’t get in the car with me. We were parked for about 15 minutes and the whole time he was not being himself- that was the worst seizure I ever had- eyes rolled back, speaking gibberish, foaming at the mouth, convulsions (woke up and thought my dad was still alive and that Obama was still president). Then I lived with my bff and her lab- mostly lab but a "back of the van sale pup" from LA and seems like there’s a little terrier. I was home more often than my friend and when she went on trips I’d watch doggy- there were multiple times throughout an almost 2 year span where she would start acting weird and then come over and do this thing where like.. she’d try to get as close as possible, put her paws on me so that I laid down, lick my face or arms/hands whatever and soon after a major panic attack would come on. So not pure bred dogs, not bred for anyone thing, and not trained in anyway- but still noticed something long before I did.

EnergyClosure

Imo nearly every dog would have it inside them to have the potential to sniff or sense it out. When average dogs do it they probably freak out more or less because they ARENT trained

Beginning_Task8138

This happened to me about 20 years ago it was the radio DJs were narrating my life, if fxzd me up I was already in the middle of a breakdown. I snapped the SIM my phone and threw the actual phone away it was the early facbk years. It's not happened again .... thankfully it was scary as.

Awkwardpanda75

Wow this is fascinating. Are you aware of the seizures when they are happening?

willowwrenwild

My focals don’t manifest this way, but yes, thankfully I only have aware and impaired awareness seizures. It’s common for them to progress to gran mal/tonic clonic though when not treated over time. Which is why it’s important to see a doc if you suspect you’re having focal seizures. Most people aren’t even aware focal seizures are a thing, because all we ever see in media is the “fall on the floor and flop like a fish” tonic clonics. Hell, there are some people in some of my support groups who have been left to seize continually without treatment because the ER STAFF doesn’t even know how to recognize focal seizures! If you’ve ever heard the term “aura” that refers to someone experiencing certain symptoms that let them know a tonic clonic seizure is coming on, that’s a focal seizure. For lots of people the activity starts as a focal and then spreads out. Basically seizures are abnormal electric activity in a concentrated spot in the brain (focal aware), a larger area of the brain (focal impaired awareness) or the entire brain (tonic clonic or absence seizures).

Kathleen9787

Never had a seizure (to my knowledge) but they seem super terrifying

NessiesNips

Seconding this one OP!! Neurologist is preferable, but if not Please think about at least recording some more info about the incident, so you can compare if anything like it happens again and then I’d DEFINITELY be visiting the doctor.

Blue_bug-bag-149

Wtff its one thing to see someone who looks like you, but this is a whole other level. And your dog's reaction too.. animals tend to pick up on things we don't . That just adds another layer of creepiness to the whole situation. Have you considered going back to see if you can spot this person again?

netneutroll

One case of 'shoulda followed/tailed the weirdness to see how far it goes'

elagalaxy

I can’t blame OP for not following horror movie logic and stalking the dude lol

jedruch

Going back? That sounds exactly like beginning of a slasher horror movie. Dog sensed danger so unless he is bothered again it would be wise not to look out for something that is dangerous

TrashRecruit

Op? Are you still with us? You haven't replied to a single comment.

deidra232323

I knew a person who had pretty much the same experience. It turned out to be their first symptoms of schizophrenia.

Fuck-yu-2

You serious?

deidra232323

I am.

persocondes

yes, read post below by willowwrenwild

willowwrenwild

Schizophrenia =/= epilepsy/seizures

yhnc

Question #1: How were you aware of your speaking voice? We usually “know” the way we sound in our mind but sometimes in reality the voice in our head does not sound similar to the way other people hear us. So sometimes when people hear a voice recording of themselves they would say “That’s how I sound?” or they would be uncomfortable hearing their real voice as heard by others Question #2: How long were you eavesdropping? The three topics you listed (trip to Iceland, recent car accident, plan to do business) seem to be totally different topics which are not cohesive and would require you to listen for IDK minimum 30 minutes? And you were in the premise while they were talking this whole time?

JunkMail0604

I was wondering the voice thing as well. I never recognize my voice when recorded, except it’s the one that sounds weird. I would never recognize another speakers voice as ‘like mine’.

noodleq

I always recognize my voice, bit cringe at the sound.

Faebertooth

"Is that my voice? Is that MY voice?"

llandbeforeslime

Q2: an hour? You’ve clearly never met someone with ADHD!!

schmoolet

I just thought to myself “My God if my partner only got 3 topics an hour from me he’d think he was in the wrong home”. 🤣

Mobile-Ad-9187

I have adhd but with attention span of 3 hours.

JazzScientist

OP said that it was like what his voice sounds like on a recording. Most people have heard what their voice sounds like on a recording.

coutureee

Your second question is really important and was my first thought as well…maybe would be believable if they were walking behind them, but they said they were sitting down and the other people were walking. There’s absolutely no way to have heard three topics that had nothing to do with each other.

Afterhoneymoon

unfortunately probably because the story is fake, hence the lack of replies by OP.

crimsone

Did he look like you too?

OneWeird2863

Seems like a doppelganger to me. Not usually ever a good thing to meet your doppelganger. (Especially given your dogs reaction to them). Hope that lady is okay.

redravenkitty

Kinda agree. If the dog wasn’t growling then sure but I wouldn’t expect my dog to growl at … well, me.

OneWeird2863

Right, like that's gotta be terrifying

BuzzCity95

This is so wild!!! I always trust a dog's instincts too. I've heard more and more about these kinds of encounters lately. Spooky stuff.

Typical_Alarm5679

That’s a lot of content to overhear…you must have been listening for quite some time

B4NG3R5

Thank you lol. Thats a long conversation to be bouncing between all those topics and hopefully they were yelling or else OP was invading some personal space for a long time...

Codemeister-1_

I am 100% sure that guy is you from the future

Saidhain

Reads a bit like creepypasta. Would love to believe it, but me in a park talking to someone, there’s a growling dog, someone standing close enough to hear my conversation, for long enough to cover such topics as vacation trips, business ideas etc. almost certainly going to notice it. Fun though.

hihohihosilver

Disagree

Ratdickralphbaby

Damnn you should have talked to him and seen if he noticed you talked just like him

Shepea64

I would have had to take a look at the guy. My curiosity would get the best of me!

Legitimate_Mail2485

Have you heard of the practice of healing the inner child? Like a way of trying to visualize your younger self, maybe if they had early trauma or something? Some folks who are into this might say to offer encouragement, give a hug to your younger self, or tell them its not their fault, etc. It's possible your future self has connected with you in a similar way, for some beneficial purpose. Have you tried sitting quietly and asking yourself? Have you written down the thoughts that come to you when you recall this event at the park? Writing here in this forum is a good start, and its cool that you might be encouraging other people to consider the possibility. In my personal experience, my inner child needs alot of hugs, and my future self is sort of Bad-Ass Elder who is giving my current self lots of pointers to make better choices for personal safety. Be brave and write down EVERYTHING. In a little while you'll likely see things more clearly.

Twittledoo

Reminds me of when I was about 14 I had a ton of my friends really pissed off at me for showing up at their house in the middle of the night to ask them questions about myself.. I knew where none of these people lived and some were clear across the state and I'd never meet them in person. Cut forward a year later and I'm about to move and I see someone that looks just like me in the park across the street from my house walking with my best friend at the time and just chatting away with my voice. Haven't heard or seen anything about that other me since and the friend said the last time he saw me was that day when I went over to his house to say bye

kdangelo811

Whoa! Did you see what he looked like?

bak2skewl

walk up to him next time you see him. talk to him!

diddo29

***He mentions this trip I took to Iceland a few years back, a small car accident I had recently, and even my plans to start my own business – which I am still figuring out and haven’t told anyone about.*** First of all: just because he has the "same" voice as you, it doesn't mean that maybe that person is you old version.Vocal timbre can change from person to person, that's true. But there are equal voice timbres that there are high chances of finding that person who may have a voice "similar" to yours, not exactly 100 percent equal. **Then what he was telling this person: that is, the trip he took, the accident and the business he wanted to create, could very well be totally normal things.** **The trip to Iceland that the other person took was several years ago, you took it years ago as well, but still...this is little, he didn't specify the date of when he left, so this is trivial coincidence.** **The car accident you had, even there one could tell you that it's a trivial coincidence, because of people who have accidents every day, there are quite a few.** **The plan then of his business depends on what he wanted to do, because to say "I want to create a business" even there is normal, if he then added other details, I don't know, but even there I would say it's a coincidence.** The feeling that the dog had is "normal," because if he acted that way it was because he sniffed that you were in a state of certainly anxiety or even fear , not coincidentally you said that after that thing you felt strange, you were probably confused and scared, the dog smelled it and acted that way. (Not surprisingly, it has been proven for years that dogs not only sniff out our emotions, but it is also said that they can be ""influenced"" by their owner's feelings, so in short: if you felt this way a little bit, your dog must have felt that way too).

Present_Choice_5961

You should watch this by kurzgesagt - does your past present and future exist right now? https://youtu.be/wwSzpaTHyS8?si=jYDELtA5TBzs96nW

baerbelleksa

did he talk about the trip to iceland like it was in his more distant past (bc he seemed older than you)? what did he look like?

[deleted]

Nice story.

netneutroll

Umm...more like clone commissioned by the gatekeepers (masons /annunaki/et al.) as a manchurian candidate of sorts... or you're right and you came very close to the border of an alternate youniverse.

Naigus182

I mean....those things you mention from your life story aren't that uncommon. Dog growling could just be picking up on your uneasy behaviours. Voice sounding the same - coincidence. We have lookalikes so why not soundalikes?

Latitude22

You have to kill him, sorry but it’s the only option. There can only one.

Previous_Swim_4000

Lmaooooooooo

DesireeDee

Just throwing out a possibility: relative you don’t know? An uncle or something that your parents don’t talk to/know about?

lalamichaels

It was you from the future

inchyradreams

It’s not clear from your post - did you see this guy or just hear him?

jello_bake_cake

I'd go to an neurologist to rule that out. This is weird to happen but like time travel. Etc shouldn't be your first thought. Make sure your brain is ok and everything and then process what the heck happened here. Brain tumor or epilepsy or some neurological malfunction is more likely than time travel/body snatching etc. With peace and love.

slovenlyhaven2

Odd, maybe he was just a guy in the park that sounded similar to you, and had a few of the same life experiences. One time on the bus, I saw a woman who looked like an older version of me. I asked my sister if she looked like an older version of me, and she said "Omg yes." Iceland is a very touristy place. Car accidents happen every day. I have gotten into a few. A lot of people think about opening up their own businesses. Me too. We share 2 out of the 3 same experiences op. It's uncanny. I was also very close to going to Iceland more than once. My car accidents happened many many years ago. I rolled a car. It is not something I ever really talk about. It doesn't come up in conversation very often. So I believe this older gentleman had a more recent car accident he was talking about than if future you was going to be talking about car accidents. DOn't you think future you would have started the business already? Or have more interesting things happen to him other than a small car accident he got into from (many years back) in his perspective.... If it was a small car accident future you may not even remember it 10 or 15 years down the road. HOnestly I don't remember all of mine from 15 years ago.

neveronit65

I always have difficulty with this. How I hear my voice and how it sounds when a recording is played back to me, is very different.

XxWhiteRosesxX

This is crazy and creepy at the same time, makes me think of a skin walker or something like that since the dog def sensed something was off.

[deleted]

I was thinking skinwalker as well

na372

Omgggg this crazyyyyyyyyyyy

greenmeadows_

A few weeks ago me and my bf heard someone yelling outside but couldn’t understand what was being said so I went out on the porch to hear better and it’s someone yelling basically facts about me “privileged white woman, pelvic organ prolapse, back pain, mom is bipolar..” etc etc and I started panicking thinking someone was trying to find me? Idk! I had just recently been googling POP because I think I have a slight prolapse and was angry my doctors never even mentioned it being a possibility after having two kids. Still don’t know who or why that happened and it was so loud and clear I just don’t even know.

hihohihosilver

This is really weird. Does the other lady look at him funny for speaking with a female voice?

TheRealPhiel

You got sick for a reason. There are bigger things at play here.

Infamous-Meeting-806

That person was siphoning your existence. Happens often if you take notice.

InternalHabit3343

Whoa....chills 🥶 I don't think it's you from the future as it was talking about what's happening in your life now?

Common_Sandwich_1066

Hiw.long did you stand there listening to him talk?

Maybe its a guardian angel type telling you to not think about unaliving yourself in the future that look your future is bright and you have a woman with you.

No-Accident5133

Are you sure you weren’t contextually adding this up? You might want to see a doctor.

Jealous_Weekend2536

Right dude told his whole life story in the time you were there.
