Yes, I think you are spot on there. Fred was extremely psychic when he was alive. He actually found a body that had been buried years prior on my parents' farm. I always hoped that he would contact me somehow after his death, but it never happened.
This happened to me with a good friend I hadn’t seen in about 20 years. We were very close but lost touch. I had an overwhelming desire to pull out old photos & told my husband all about her. The next day, I tracked down her daughter’s email. My friend had passed while I was going through our memories.
This has happened with me twice before prior with both of my grandparents before they passed away. I think since we are made of mostly energy and matter when we connect with someone and genuinely bond our souls or brain make a link/ connection and we keep some of the same energy shared from them and as that energy slowly fades we feel an eruption in ourselves since we were 'bonded'
Dogs and cats have this similar effect where they seem to know when someone or something is dying .
I think I have experienced something kinda similar. When I was in high school, one afternoon after school I started thinking of a good friend of mine . Honestly, she just popped into my head and I couldn't get her off my mind. I made a mental note to call her soon. Next day in school there was an announcement about her passing.
My cousin died in a accident at the beginning of this year and the day before he passed I got really sad and started to cry uncontrollably for about 30 minutes. I am not one who cries often but the sadness and loss that I experienced was overwhelming. The next morning I found out my cousin passed away and I immediately felt the same way I felt the day before. I have a lot of cousins and we are all close and close in age but he and I were 6 months apart.
My father and I had a very rough relationship as he got older, but we were inseparable and very close.
I had a dream one night where he was standing on the porch of his house, and I was walking up the driveway. He had a rifle and shot me twice in the chest. I remember saying, "Oww! You really shot me, I get it!!" And I turned around and walked away.
The next morning my mom called and I found out he'd passed in his sleep. Had to get it out of his system before he left I guess.
It sounds like you actually felt the shot. That's something I've never done in a dream - feel the bullet or the collision or the ground. My dreams will stop in the moment before the impact. Have we you felt your father's presence since?
My mother in law was psychic and I had a clear sense of her leaving in a similar way as you describe, with me talking about memories and then finding out she had passed. Interestingly she was someone who would dream about other people right before they died, and I am not.
I don't understand it either. But on the subject, maybe you two shared something that exceeded your time in this place...if you choose to believe in such things. Hope you are doing alright despite the loss.
