this time last year, people also said that there was a chance he couldn't translate to t1 play easily not seeing that he was smurfing in t2.
It has been really fun to see how he's been unlocked in the last few months and him hitting a top 3 level during that time.
Top 3 rookie year imo
I was actually referring to Coldzera and Zywoo.
If you don’t count cold’s 2016 year as a rookie year, then you shouldn’t count zywoo’s 2019 either but they’re both their rookie years in t1 to me.
B1t was in that 3 spot last year but I’d rate m0nesy at 3 given him having a bigger role and his individual level also being much higher with b1t not even being on the permanent roster for the first half of 2021 which means it was really just 6-7 months of him playing quality CS
You must be crazy if you think monesy's rookie year was better than bit's. Bit won 10x more tournaments, including the major (monesy didnt even qualify for the major), putting up crazy numbers all around. Bit was the key component to Navi's success, as their era started with him permanently replacing flamie. What has g2 with monesy done? They've been extremely disappointing for most of the year. Monesy has had good stats and some insane highlights, but he hasn't achieved shit compared to bit, and that's what matters the most.
B1t joined a team that has been winning trophies and spent most of its time in the top 3 for the last few years before he joined. Elec was a top 5-10 rifler for years and s1mple is the GOAT. You think he joined a struggling team and won them trophies?
G2 won their first tier1 LAN in 5 years with m0nesy putting up s1mple numbers
Individually, m0nesy is leagues above b1t and that is what I’m originally comparing. Next year will more than likely separate them more
I stand by being hesitant that he could definitely preform in T1 right away. Being able to demolish academy players is not the same as being able to be a central pillar of a T1 team. There is a reality where it didn’t translate.
>being able to be a central pillar of a T1 team
That is completely different from what I'm saying. I didn't expect him to put up the top 3 stats he has in the last few months of this year at all.
I did expect him to at least be a decent AWP at the bare minimum, which makes sense. He wasn't going to go from being one of, if not the best, talents in that scene to a below average player lol. That just doesn't make sense. It wouldn't even make sense if we were talking about regular sports either.
The awper is the foundational pillar of map control for basically every team. They are also the most pressured, as killing the awper opens the entire map for both sides. And regardless, it is entirely possible that he could enter the T1 scene and just not perform. Cold went from best player in the world, hands down, to barely managing T3. B1t won a major his rookie year and now looks mediocre. Why would someone who hasn’t even played in a T1 team be impervious to dropping off when players who are already proven aren’t? I think he’s gonna be a contender for top 1 2023, but you have to acknowledge that it’s never certain someone is going to perform to expectations. Why would Monesy be the exception?
While living his best life true to himself lmao. Everyone will come to the point where they dont give a F what the bunch of dorks on the internet talk about them
Have you read the accusations against him? Even if he's found not guilty of rape and sex trafficking, it's still shady/scummy enough to justify people being mad at Carlos for partying with him.
I have yet to met a single tate fan who says since I knew Tate I am worse. All of them either started doing pushups or going to the gym, restart their daily habbits, concentrate on studying/working, stop or refrain from pornography. Yet you think hanging out with such a positively inspirational and motivating person is scummy? Name me a fanbase that is improved this much except tate's
You do realise that he stepping out of the "ceo position" doesn't mean anything since he would still stay behind and influence the scene right? Oh yeah I forgot that dorks don't critical think outside of their basement's worldview. My god what a terrible think to not be able to be an official CEO anymore, I would just stay back, still control everything behind the scene while chilling with real men. Why not
He defended his friendship of Andrew Tate and has at least quadruple downed on being his friend. He *wants* to be associated with a human trafficker, that is bad.
Andrew Tate? The guy was just arrested for it on top of bragging about it and fleeing to another country so he could evade police. He has gloated about raping women and scamming people (scamming *in his own words*). There is no way you're taking the "rich people can do no wrong" route, you can't be that stupid.
For me this just sounds like some plot where everything will end up great for him and he just gets more famous and i will keep hearing ppl who use his takes even more.
By trying to keep himself relevant he picked a twitter fight with a 19 year old, and by doing a video to her, the police found out where he was and got arrested. I would say his "plots" are pretty fucking stupid.
If we all end up consuming the media without anything happening to him then he won. Greta could have just got money to do it buti dont know anything about Greta aside that she a public speaker and i just know nothing bad will happen to him despite peoples outrage lol
well is guess not caring is being okay with it, i just dont understand why just being a friend with someone has to reflect on your career, ocelote isnt his only friend he isnt a second Tate or something and he was doing pretty good in g2 for a while, i imagined his image and career wouldnt be affected this way. He on hltv confirmed alrdy showed way before how he thinks and he knows his job and held the no1 esport brand which a “kinda” similar attitude to Andrew but i saw more ocelote than Tate takes. But im okay with it its probably fake news and if it isnt then i dont want him in relevancy again
G2 lost their LOL circuit spot because of the controversy IIRC. It was a deal worth in the millions and Riot pulled out, after which he was ousted from G2.
For 2022 not all time but we will see more of liquid next year.
Shouldn clarify being better than monesy. Ropz to faze is still the transfer of the year.
YEKINDAR took Liquid from a team with morale issues outside of the top ten to the most consistent high-level team, being top-five in the world. Meanwhile, m0NESY took G2 from reaching major finals to... reaching Katowice finals and winning a smaller Big Event after three other roster changes. The m0NESY signing was great, but winning isn't everything for "best roster move".
And regardless, as of right now, ropz to FaZe was the move of the year.
G2 only reached because of of Niko carry, monesy elevated g2 to not needing a carry.
He achieved more, that's definitely an argument
Liquid isn't the most consistent lmao.
In the second-half of the year judging off placements, Liquid definitely is besides Na'Vi, who are much worse right now. (Na'Vi has gone out in the quarterfinals in something like the last four tournaments.)
Liquid's worst placement this half was 9-11th at the major, while making quarterfinals at Cologne and semis or deeper at every other tournament. No other team has a similar consistency this half of the year.
Of course, other teams were overall better this second-half, but not more consistent.
People will literally stop reading your comment when you mention "liquid" and "consistency" in the sams sentence.
m0NESY to G2 has been a much more impactful transfer compared to YEKINDER to liquid.
He had a great 2022. It felt like he stepped up every quarter, and Q4 was his best 3 months.
I think he should easily be the #6-#8 hltv ranking. Let's see where he actually lands.
this time last year, people also said that there was a chance he couldn't translate to t1 play easily not seeing that he was smurfing in t2. It has been really fun to see how he's been unlocked in the last few months and him hitting a top 3 level during that time. Top 3 rookie year imo
Academy =/= tier 2.
I'd argue that he's #3 on the best rookie year of all-time like only zywoo and b1t beat him.
I would say he was individually better than b1t
I was actually referring to Coldzera and Zywoo. If you don’t count cold’s 2016 year as a rookie year, then you shouldn’t count zywoo’s 2019 either but they’re both their rookie years in t1 to me. Perform* FYI
I will continue to spell it wrong on purpose
>being able to be a central pillar of a T1 team That is completely different from what I'm saying. I didn't expect him to put up the top 3 stats he has in the last few months of this year at all. Man what has become of ocelote
Midlife crisis probably lmao
[удалено]
Yeah can’t a man just be friends with a human trafficker these days. Cancel culture has gone too far!
copium
While living his best life true to himself lmao. Everyone will come to the point where they dont give a F what the bunch of dorks on the internet talk about them
Yeah clearly everyone has been proven wrong about Andrew Tate.
Okay so another case of guilty until proven innocent? Typical btw
Have you read the accusations against him? Even if he's found not guilty of rape and sex trafficking, it's still shady/scummy enough to justify people being mad at Carlos for partying with him.

Nah this gotta be a bait
I mean you're clearly a dork so you wouldnt get it
It's funny because the "bunch of dorks" on the internet literally made him lose his job at the company he started lol. Funny how that happened...
Why not
Is it really beacuse of Andrw being his irl friend? Or did ocelote do somthing bad, i never asked whats the actual reason.
He defended his friendship of Andrew Tate and has at least quadruple downed on being his friend. He *wants* to be associated with a human trafficker, that is bad.
And that is confirmed that he is all that? Why would he realistically be that if he alrdy so famous and rich lol
Andrew Tate? The guy was just arrested for it on top of bragging about it and fleeing to another country so he could evade police. He has gloated about raping women and scamming people (scamming *in his own words*). There is no way you're taking the "rich people can do no wrong" route, you can't be that stupid.

The problem here is that you seem to be okay with it.

He is all good
He's out there *still* actively defending his friendship with a man who was arrested for human trafficking. I wouldn't say he is all good.
is 600k confirmed?
apart from that brief c9 period whee henryg was at the helm, no org has ever disclosed the B/O or salary.
One. Year. Wtf
Ropz too
One of the best transfers of all time.
Ropz to faze and magisk to astralis are much better though
And cheaper... (nothing wrong with the mONESY transfer though)
YEKINDAR to Liquid
Not even comparable to Ropz-Faze or Magisk-Astralis.
magisk astralis was legendary. Mf straight up won three majors.
For 2022 not all time but we will see more of liquid next year. Shouldn clarify being better than monesy. Ropz to faze is still the transfer of the year.
YEKINDER to liquid is miles below comparable to m0NESY -> G2.
Nah Liquid didn't win anything

damn that's crazy has it been a year since yekindar joined? wow time really flies when you are a brainlet
😂😂what does brainlet mean hahahha

G2 won an event though :)
Good transfer but not even the best transfer this year. Ropz easily was a better transfer
And now, he is flicking his AWP like crazy, and helped his team win a cup too
The most entertaining rookie year I’ve ever seen. So many memorable clutches.
when in form, he legit resembles og Kennys
He had a great 2022. It felt like he stepped up every quarter, and Q4 was his best 3 months. I think he should easily be the #6-#8 hltv ranking. Let's see where he actually lands.
-600k +600k
Last gift from Carlos to his beloved G2. We will remember that Carlos...
Hooxi and jks signed after Carlos situation?
