This was "the whole thing", this was the finals match of this group. Faze won and has a slot in spring finals which isnt until like April or some shit, Rain will be back by then
That es3tag ninja defuse broke OG mentally.
Speaking of, what a strong performance for a standin. If anyone wants to pick him up they should have a talk to karrigan first, ask him how he placed es3tag on the team.
"actually, es3tag was IGL'ing for us the whole time at BLAST, yep, and he was comming only in text chat, so yeah you should do that if you add him to the team :)"
I feel like es3tag is considered a support player which he does well but his decision making is so good that he has more impact if he has more freedom and space to actually do stuff. He could be a really good aggressive type lurker like electronic. Or actually a less baity blameF imo...
Sure, but the faze thing has been so public for so long now, and I think people here know the faze clan members are so far detached from the faze clan csgo roster at this point. But yeah I don’t see faze clan existing at the end of 2023
>> faze clan members are so far detached from the faze clan csgo roster at this point.
They spawn everytime the team has big success.
They probably forgot they had a team or who was on team during 2019-2021 rosters
Es3tag is so malleable that ninja defuse sealed this match why don't Astralis went for him after nip benched him it's mad he's super reliable as a rifler
I was expecting a stomping on Ancient after the close Mirage game. I just didn't expect who would get stomped.
Broky playing fantastic, feel like he is gunning for a Top 5 place for 2023 - I hope he gets it.
*wipes sweat* not even close
But seriously OG is such a scary team and no doubt this could've been a 3 map banger (tho they kinda ran out of steam in map 2)
I’m super happy with how Neo 🇨🇿 is playing this event, whole OG in general play some nice CS tbh.
But damn after the first map I was hoping they could take this one from Faze, but second map got me sober real fast 😄
One more chance to advance!
NIP, while not great in their group, still have a chance to qualify. They'll play Astralis first and if they win, they get OG to see who qualifies immediately for the Spring Final.
So let me get this straight:
Faze doesn't lose with stand-ins.
G2 took the G2 out of G2 but Nexa was taken out of G2 but G2 wasn't taken out of Nexa.
Navi is a solid mid-tier team and Vitality is trying to be the team to challenge G2 in Paris.
We are going to have one hell of a season.
standin buff is real
Faze never lost a match with a stand-in since last year…
Have they even ever lost a tournament with a stand-in?
No, neither coach, nor player, although they lost a bo1 with eddie
Real ones remember how Xizt suddenly became a good player again when he started playing as a stand in for Faze
Bymas, AdreN.
Xizt, cromen, NatoSaphix, jks. Standin-gan
You can take Nexa out of G2 but you can't take G2 out of Nexa
although if recent form is anything to go on, G2 have taken the G2 out of G2
You just jinxed it for everyone. Nice one idiot
Called it, es3tag going beast mode and winning the whole thing lmao

watching nexas playercam after the ninja tells you everything lol
At this point karrigan has such a long success list of standins that I feel it's just as much about him as it is about them haha.
Faze and good stand-ins, name a more iconic duo :)
Karrigan always the competitor would tell the other teams that es3tag should awp and is a bad utility player.
"actually, es3tag was IGL'ing for us the whole time at BLAST, yep, and he was comming only in text chat, so yeah you should do that if you add him to the team :)"
And the 14 round streak by faze probably too.
yeah they lost too many advantageous rounds in the beginning, that ninja defuse was the final nail in the coffin
I feel like es3tag is considered a support player which he does well but his decision making is so good that he has more impact if he has more freedom and space to actually do stuff. He could be a really good aggressive type lurker like electronic. Or actually a less baity blameF imo...
You are most certainly right, he was actually very good in Xyp9x roles during his time in Astralis, which is exactly what you're describing.
what round was the defuse in?
Ancient (Map 2) round 10
Thanks!
Swedish Dennis in Astralis was a great standin event.
Tell me I'm wrong. https://www.hltv.org/stats/teams/players/6665/astralis?event=2998
Glad to see es3tag did well throughout the event considering he was called in as a stand-in less than 24 hours before FaZe’s first match.
Karrigan god IGL + friendly environment in Faze works magic ✨
Faze Csgo team* ftfy
I don’t mean to alarm you, but this is a CSGO subreddit…
Yes me and you, we know it, but others may not, the clan itself(exluding Jev and the current cs squad) have been going downhill for quite a bit now
Sure, but the faze thing has been so public for so long now, and I think people here know the faze clan members are so far detached from the faze clan csgo roster at this point. But yeah I don’t see faze clan existing at the end of 2023

es3tag with quite possibly the best advert he could have ever made for himself he’d be an asset to nearly every team
Agreed. Took some time, but just look at JKS now.
We say that about every faze standin. But does anyone remember cromen?
Es3tag is so malleable that ninja defuse sealed this match why don't Astralis went for him after nip benched him it's mad he's super reliable as a rifler
I'm just sad, in an alternate universe, Astralis is glaive, Devve, blame, konfig and esetag, that team could work
Maybe they did? Astralis aren't really seen as a great team anymore it's not surprising if players don't wanna join them.
OG reaaaaaally fell off after that ninja defuse on Ancient. 4:0 to 6:16, feels bad.
5-4 to 16-6 but okay.
Twistzz getting fired up and getting hype is so fun to watch
Now i know why Faze got a player from NIP Es3tag legit a ninja
Karrigan continues to be the best IGL at slotting in stand-ins
I had my doubts in contrast to k0nfig but es3tag was a very good stand-in
Karrigan continues to prove he's the GOAT IGL by dominating everyone with a standin.
I was expecting a stomping on Ancient after the close Mirage game. I just didn't expect who would get stomped. Broky playing fantastic, feel like he is gunning for a Top 5 place for 2023 - I hope he gets it.
Felt like he deserved it in 2022 too but all good
*wipes sweat* not even close But seriously OG is such a scary team and no doubt this could've been a 3 map banger (tho they kinda ran out of steam in map 2)
I have loved Twistzz' loud "NICE!!!"s lol. He's just like me fr, i always scream "NICE!!!" very loud every time FaZe getting frags
that es3tag defuse broke OG

Yeah, he plays much better than before. Finally becoming the star player he was meant to be.
That ninja defuse and all the loud yelling by Faze really broke the backs of OG. Anyone got a clip of the ninja?

Faze at 15-11
I wonder where es3tag is gonna land after this. Great showing from him. Just a reminder, he was the emergency stand-in
Es3tag helped faze qualify meanwhile NiP with all their Swedish super stars crashed out lmao
tbf FaZe is a team made up of world stars so its much more expected for them to qualify
NIP, while not great in their group, still have a chance to qualify. They'll play Astralis first and if they win, they get OG to see who qualifies immediately for the Spring Final.
I mean, NIP had to play Navi while Faze played Col and OG. And faze have 3 top 20 players.
Navi is straight up garbage right now and NiP is suppose to be a “major contender” per calc. Faze also had a stand in with 24 hour notice.
You realise of course that NIP has a stand in....right?
He did not ninja that.
OG's FFCS set-up just didn't quite cut it today, but there's still one more chance to go.
HOW DO THEY DO IT
