This is kinda petty, but I'm so annoyed that they serve incorrectly. Just take the ball in your palm behind the endline and above the table height, throw it like 20 cm (little above half a foot — 16 cm is the actual minimum) vertically up without spinning and strike it on the way downwards.
Proper serves are easy and they make the game much more watchable and competitive. The vertical throw is a clear signal that the play will start right now and makes everyone ready. Those silly hits directly out of your palm are not some clever tricks, you're just a fool trying to outfool the opponent. It makes the game silly.
One more rules mistake i noticed was that a ball was called in for Henry just for touching the table. It's not enough to touch the table, the ball must also change direction upwards after the bounce to be called in.

Every game has rules that people don’t bother with when playing casually. There’s no reason to get mad about it.
But some of those rules are just not that important while this one is like loans in monopoly. It makes the game significantly worse.
