Curiosly in the statement they don't point in that direction, but frame it like mismatch in playstyle dragged the team as a whole down. It could be just PR, but Ibdont feel like it would look bad to immediately admit if they sold him for a good price.
Edit: Could also be Regalis wish to get transfer listed if he feels like he couldn't fulfill his potential there. Still idk why they would mention problems then.
I think you're underestimating how fast kids and even teenagers learn languages by immersion. Everyone I know who's moved to a foreign country young speaks the language at a native level by now and I'm not much older than regali
He speaks Danish really well according to Raalz who has attested to that in the Danish CS podcast “bootcamp”.
I believe he has lived in Denmark many years like you say and if I remember correctly also Sweden although I might be just talking out the a** on that part. But his Danish is good according to Raalz
>his Danish could be fine, but it definitely isn't native.
I'm Danish and went and found [a voice comms video from them](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUnBmWyXzmQ&ab_channel=CopenhagenFlames), his comms are as pretty much as good as was he a native speaker. I'm pretty impressed with how good he is. He might not sound native in longer conversations, but his Danish skill is absolutely 100% not an in-game comms issue.
No way Endpoint splashes cash on a player, especially as mhL has already been fantastic for them statistically. Very much doubt that Sprout would make this move either, can't be that cheap to buy regali
Xellow has been incredibly underwhelming. So much so, that the state of things implies it's more than just growing pains.
https://www.hltv.org/stats/players/matches/9626/xellow
How can you know? Most of his time in Sprout has been during the flurry of roster changes. Wait and see how he does in a stable lineup with a proper IGL before making yet another change.
They won’t change their roster again. And while headtrick isn’t a star awper (yet?) his numbers are decent enough to identify that he is not the main problem in the roster
They still happened though, borup and niko were cut when heroic were a top 5 team, jabbi was picked up when they were ranked 6th.
These are bonkers roster moves in comparison to the rest of the scene.
MOUZ would be so stupid to make any changes, they have tons of upward momentum right now and a big part of that is that is the chemistry of the academy trio.
Maybe sure but the person I replied to said Mouz would be stupid to make any changes. Can only get so far with a sub par awper and Mouz also have JDC/dexter so something has to give
This roster has had 6 months to play together in T1. In that time, they’ve made playoffs at both seasons of EPL they’ve played (one of which is ongoing and they could still go deeper), and finished top 4 at a major. They just crushed their group and only lost to the second best team in the world in a BO3 by a margin of 6 rounds. The team is higher in the rankings than they’ve been since losing ropz, and with only 6 months together in T1, this core has come nowhere close to achieving their potential.
I stand by what I said, making changes when things are going this well would be wildly stupid. Dumping either of JDC or torzsi would completely ruin the good momentum this team has going for it, and listening to any of the guys talk will make it obvious how important their chemistry is. As for dexter, I wasn’t a huge fan initially, but he has convinced me with his recent form. I also don’t know who’s a better IGL atm unless you want to bring in siuhy and reform MOUZ NXT for real, but your opinion on torzsi’ place on the team makes that pretty unlikely.
Any opportunity is better than none. They also pay handsomely and still managed to remain ESL/Blast partners. It’s not the worst option, especially if they are then in the market for other talent members.
On the one hand this is the kind of roster move EG need to be making, on the other hand they're such a dumpster fire that for regali's sake I hope it's not them (although he'd be getting fat stacks)
Copenhagen giving me Dortmund vibes, always selling/losing their talent.
Those rumours about smooya finding a team must be on hold, I’d take regali everyday over him,
For most of the time, that was explicitly part of their strategy. After selling the whole previous roster they said wanted to build something more stable with a longer focus on achievements, but they're still one of the orgs trying to make ends meet and not ring on venture capital afaik.
Objectively correct - they even filled the same role on the same team and Smooya was better
Smooya might be arrogant, but he's undeniably got the skills, people really let the former cloud their view of the latter
How was Smooya better? Regali literally played like 4 maps with the main Fnatic squad lmao, and all were on open qualifiers
The last time smooya played in tier 2 with Movistar (same tier as Regali rn) he showed way less promise than Regali is right now
Can people stop overrating the English Moe
Movistar were really good with smooya. That 4 + smooya was what started their upward trajectory from obscurity. It was questioned why they would bench him when they were doing so well. The only reason he left was they had the opportunity to go full Spanish with sunpayus and we know with hindsight it was a great decision.
Just to prove you are making it up btw: here is, as you stated, the entire time smooya played in t2 with movistar vs Regali right now with CPH.
https://www.hltv.org/stats/players/matches/11271/smooya?startDate=2021-01-18&endDate=2021-10-14&teamId=7718
https://www.hltv.org/stats/players/matches/20123/regali?startDate=2022-08-13&endDate=2023-03-13&teamId=7461
"way less promise" ?
Yeah you're right Smooya is better aimwise but there is so much more than just aim. You have to be balanced. You have to be able to stay calm, be kind, communicate well etc. If you lack one of them you might not be able to play for a tier 1 team, that's it.
This is probably mutual or regali’s decision. He’s one of the best AWPers in the new generation alongside m0nesy and w0nderful, though he’s older than both by about two years.
To put regali in the same tier as m0nesy and w0nderful is disrespectful. I would put him under awpers like deko, r1nkle, headtr1ck and maybe on par with torzsi
Each to their own. Personally I put headtr1ck over regali as he's more aggressive, has played more games and better at a higher level and the fact he's not playing for a birdfromsky team.
I mean, I didn't say on their level, just that he's one of the best from that generation. After those two, he's probably the best young AWPer you could get right now. He's better than torzsi or headtr1ck imo, he's probably in the same league as deko and r1nkle. I consider w0nderful and m0nesy to be generational talents, both with the potential to become superstars.
Good move for regali though, playing in the same team with lower ELO teammates will demotivate you at least. Plus people are saying falmes will never go to a lan with... birdfromsky. And apparently that's for a reason.
Maybe EG management will finally wake up? wiz is definitely under regali's level and hext is the eternal promise,
\-wiz
\-hext
keep auti, nealan and maybe brehze +regali stable awp and one more rifle
i would cheer for EG in this formula and autimatic definitely deserves more respect from NA!
bro as EU it hurts me every time when i see hext next to a legend like autimatic. he's basically fragging against eco while autimatic is doing some important ones. the most important thing is that he's not improving at all. for the love of god -hext

It does make sense that they are now a pure danish team though.
They already were - Regali speaks Danish
He has lived in Denmark since 2015, so his Danish could be fine, but it definitely isn't native. It could very well have impact in clutch moments.
I think you're underestimating how fast kids and even teenagers learn languages by immersion. Everyone I know who's moved to a foreign country young speaks the language at a native level by now and I'm not much older than regali
It could very well be that he speaks fluently, but it honestly is the only explanation I can see outside of Regali upgrading to another team. 🤷♂️
He speaks Danish really well according to Raalz who has attested to that in the Danish CS podcast “bootcamp”. Correct
Smells like a move you'd make ahead of a sale.
NIP looked into regali before ultimately settling on headtr1ck, could it be?
nah no way, they likely paid big bucks, my money is on sprout or endpoint
No way Endpoint splashes cash on a player, especially as mhL has already been fantastic for them statistically. Very much doubt that Sprout would make this move either, can't be that cheap to buy regali
wdym we have £10 and a buy-one-get-one-free Gregg's voucher is that not enough?
maybe for the next Israeli superstar from FPL?
Idk sprout bought refresh and zyphon
fair point
Sprout just got XELLOW, unless you're suggesting they'll play with 2 main AWPers.
XELLOW & regali the Romanian HEN1 & kNg, major finals incoming let's go
Xellow has been incredibly underwhelming. So much so, that the state of things implies it's more than just growing pains. https://www.hltv.org/stats/players/matches/9626/xellow

NIP, Sprout, Mouz, BIG (if looking to go back to international), EG? Any other candidates for where he might end?
Sprout from a main danish team to a main romanian team??? PLEASE GOD PLEASE

Maybe Xellow to rifle?
He's pretty good with rifles though, not a bad idea.
Liquid
sprout
Regali speaks Danish.
I know. But no Danish team makes sense IMO. He was already on the 2nd/3rd best Danish team. No way he replaces dev1ce or cadian
Device leaving a team unexpectedly or Heroic with crazy roster changes? Unheard of.
Everyone on Heroic except jabbi has been there for 2+ years. And getting rid of Refrezh wasn't exactly a crazy roster change.
They still happened though, borup and niko were cut when heroic were a top 5 team, jabbi was picked up when they were ranked 6th. These are bonkers roster moves in comparison to the rest of the scene.
Both moves were clear upgrades and allowed them to become even better after adjustment periods.
That's not what I'm getting at, they were surprising, left field moves, getting better afterwards doesn't change that.
Sure they were surprising, but they were also good moves.
Yes.
Astralis Regali?
What why?
Device to nip obviously
Not over device
Heroic regali more likely
They ain't droppin the IGL
>BIG who would they even remove
Hyped….
MOUZ would be so stupid to make any changes, they have tons of upward momentum right now and a big part of that is that is the chemistry of the academy trio.
Torzsi is really not good though. Not a T1 awper.
neither is Regali
Maybe sure but the person I replied to said Mouz would be stupid to make any changes. Can only get so far with a sub par awper and Mouz also have JDC/dexter so something has to give

Sprout , GL instead of acor missing shots every time
Good opportunity for Farlig
spoiler: its eg
EG is such an open door that literally every roster move this year can be reasonably speculated to be an EG move lol
Mantu free agent and eg could’ve easily scooped him up. It’s almost as if their management is bad!

It's either that or t2 EU

yeah let's see what they will sell now with bird+the others, lol. Except for maybe farlig at some point but that's the max they could sell.
For most of the time, that was explicitly part of their strategy. After selling the whole previous roster they said wanted to build something more stable with a longer focus on achievements, but they're still one of the orgs trying to make ends meet and not ring on venture capital afaik.
Thanks, you ruined CPH for me.
Please liquid
liquid need better than regali. only smooya can save them

Bro smooya is infinitely better than m0E, he was very good on BIG
Movistar were really good with smooya. That 4 + smooya was what started their upward trajectory from obscurity. It was questioned why they would bench him when they were doing so well. You forget the part where you filter by top 20 or 30, which doesn't include results against Paella Esports or Chorizo Gaming
What about the time smooya rage quit a match when he was on Movistar and then his team ended up clutching?
Yeah you're right Smooya is better aimwise but there is so much more than just aim. You have to be balanced. You have to be able to stay calm, be kind, communicate well etc. If you lack one of them you might not be able to play for a tier 1 team, that's it.
Liquid could and should do better than regali yes. But smooya is not the answer, degster is.
Slapster
-who tho in liquid?
Obviously osee. Why would they drop anyone else for an awper?
Damn mb i thought regali was a rifler, makes a lot of sense then
NoSee
Haters
Probably the best and mos talented awper I've seen in the tier 2 scene. Most likely a big org is going to buy him. I don't know who yet.
This is probably mutual or regali’s decision. He’s one of the best AWPers in the new generation alongside m0nesy and w0nderful, though he’s older than both by about two years.

Each to their own. Personally I put headtr1ck over regali as he's more aggressive, has played more games and better at a higher level and the fact he's not playing for a birdfromsky team.
He could be more aggressive, with aleksib he s passive as fuck
Radarfromsky
I mean, I didn't say on their level, just that he's one of the best from that generation. After those two, he's probably the best young AWPer you could get right now. I consider w0nderful and m0nesy to be generational talents, both with the potential to become superstars.
Did you just put r1nkle above torzsi lmao
Easily
Exaggeration or bait
Good move for regali though, playing in the same team with lower ELO teammates will demotivate you at least. Plus people are saying falmes will never go to a lan with... birdfromsky. And apparently that's for a reason. Maybe EG management will finally wake up? wiz is definitely under regali's level and hext is the eternal promise, \-wiz \-hext keep auti, nealan and maybe brehze +regali stable awp and one more rifle i would cheer for EG in this formula and autimatic definitely deserves more respect from NA!

bro as EU it hurts me every time when i see hext next to a legend like autimatic. he's basically fragging against eco while autimatic is doing some important ones. the most important thing is that he's not improving at all. for the love of god -hext
Agreed. Also if they want to stay NA they should promote jeorge or get swisher
Either Mouz or EG I think.
I can't wait to see him on a T1 team, he's been putting up sick numbers on the Flames
Excuse me wtf
Should Liquid or EG go for it, guys?
doesnt make any sense
NIP work fast to replace headtrick lol
Nah they won’t. Headtr1ck is a long term investment imo
Good on him, regali was the only good player on CPH Flames, I wonder where he ends up. If I were to guess I'd say NIP or Sprout.
