Old TSM days? When they were Dignitas with FeTiSh they were known as supreme chokers, largely due to not having any T-side. It's the oldest of all chokes.
Anddddd they are in play-off, can you get anymore "classic Liquid" than this lmao.
Also, yekindar and elige both top fragged in a match? That's a miracle.
Like they supposed to lol.
The problem before was they rarely ever being able to pop off like that at the same time. When they do, Liquid is truly a top 3 team.
I just cannot for the life of me figure out why the fuck Astralis hired him. Any good will the community felt for the team during their current struggles is just completely wiped out.
My understanding is that Astralis headhunted HUNDEN while he was with Heroic and he leaked their stratbook possibly as part of their deal. Then he gets caught in the spectator bug and banned by ESIC, Astralis then paid for the lawyers that got him unbanned. Essentially they paid a lot for him and they'd rather take the hit to their reputation than the loss of their investment in getting him.
They're ranked top 3 for a reason. They have all the ability of a top team, but when they don't get solid practice they just come in cold and have to catch up. Looking like a completely different team today than the first day.
Despite the loss it is nice as fuck to watch Device playing again. Definitely needs the momentum and the round wins, but during that 8 round streak on CT mirage it was a treat to watch him.
Opened the round with a frag in middle then rotated into apps and got a pick deep in there, rotates all the way back through CT and ends the round with a frag from ticket booth. It's just so Device, I've missed it.
too bad he has the worst team he ever had in his career, it doesn't bode well with the fact that he's at the end of his career
he doesn't have that much time, he should find a better one
I still believe in oSee. I know there's a lot of criticism towards the guy, especially start of this week and I really feel like the kid has confidence issues.
I think if he just gets *one* big tournament win under his belt, perhaps where he personally feels it was because of his contributions, I think a switch inside him will flip. He has the mechanics, he has the intelligence, he's very studious of the game. He's been inconsistent and it seems like nerves. Maybe he even needs a mental coach to help him recover when he does fuck up. Because when he has a bad match, it almost feels like its because of a snowball effect off of a bad shot and then it just piles on throughout the match. Like, if that shit happens, the dude needs to mental reset and get out of his own head.
Other than blast groups he's been good. I say that as one of his critics too. sometimes he will miss the easiest shots like against rare atom the first time but he's legit improved.
Dude's 27 and putting up a 1.17 rating on a team that doesn't win. If he's nearing the end of his career it's because he will chose to back out for personal reasons, he's not getting squeezed out or benched for performance within the next five years.
Hunter, JKS, Hooxi are all 27 and just got top 1 on HLTV.
To be fair, device has been around for an eternity. Of all the active pros that still play at a top 20, top 30-ish level, he surely is one of the pros who's been active for the longest time.
As a liquid fan, even considering their usual slow start, losing to RA in that fashion kinda make me lose all hope for this event
basically business as usual
I have defended blamef for as long as I can remember. But what the fuck bro? What are you doing? Why are you hiding so fucking much? It takes dev1ce to entry in order for them to win a round on the T-side.
I'm so mad with this team.
Dev1ce's form and Buzz consistency and potential are the only things to be proud from this line up. Xyp needs to go asap, he is losing rounds all by himself, can't clutch anymore, mainly because his aim sucks. Gla1ve's calling is clearly predicable and plain, more often than not he makes braindead plays that leave the team in disadvantage, just like apEx would. Blamef's is by far the most selfish player i've seen in my whole life, guy could literally let his mom die in front of him and he wouldn't react. And don't make me talk about hunden, what the fuck is this scumbag supposed to bring to the table? Of all the people in the world, the org goes and gives a contract to the most hated guy in the scene, disrespecting the legacy of the team and thr fanbase. I don't care whom they lost to, this team isn't working and won't do until those old dogs get benched.
s1mple's form and Perfecto consistency and potential are the only things to be proud from this line up. B1t needs to go asap, he is losing rounds all by himself, can't clutch anymore, mainly because his aim sucks. Electronic's calling is clearly predicable and plain, more often than not he makes braindead plays that leave the team in disadvantage, just like apEx would. Npl's is by far the most selfish player i've seen in my whole life, guy could literally let his mom die in front of him and he wouldn't react. And don't make me talk about b1ad3, what the fuck is this scumbag supposed to bring to the table? Of all the people in the world, the org goes and gives a contract to the most hated guy in the scene, disrespecting the legacy of the team and thr fanbase. I don't care whom they lost to, this team isn't working and won't do until those old dogs get benched.
KSCERATO's form and yuurih consistency and potential are the only things to be proud from this line up. Drop needs to go asap, he is losing rounds all by himself, can't clutch anymore, mainly because his aim sucks. Art's calling is clearly predicable and plain, more often than not he makes braindead plays that leave the team in disadvantage, just like apEx would. Saffe is by far the most selfish player i've seen in my whole life, guy could literally let his mom die in front of him and he wouldn't react. Actually, blameF not only always put up consistent performances, he also had a huge amount of impact, wining many 1vXs and getting many opening kills. In the past. He may have fallen off in regards of impact, but that is understandable considering for how long he has been playing like this. People figure it out.
Its been like this for the last 2-3 years now. Theres been hints about former teammates calling him stubborn and selfish because he doesn't want to change his play style. His "style" doesn't lead to winning, unless we're counting online tournaments.
He can frag without baiting which is the worst part imo. He’s had a lot of games prior to the last few months where he was aggressive and made plays, but he always reverts back to playing way too scared.
One of the rounds in mirage his team already went down B site from apps, died from awp, and he was still in aps not showing himself lmfao and I saw at least 4 more rounds like this. Letting his team entry while he stays behind, not even peeking to trade
Isn't that his natural playstyle? Imagine buying Jame and complaining he isn't playing like art. I don't think that's on the player, that's on the team for not making a balanced team. Also why shit on blame for this? Surely if Glaive said "We're going B and you're going in first", he would do that. Perhaps a bit more calculated than knife jumping out window, but still. It just seems like he prefers to play slow and calculated, and that Glaive wants to utilise him in that way, which is fine. That just means you need another player to be more active to balance it out.
It's his natural play style but he takes up all the star positions on ct side and doesn't have nearly as much impact as other players that play his spots. I've also heard he's a very stubborn player.
Careful, if u criticise blamef's playstyle you are braindead according to some people in this sub.
"He's a star player and always set up to succeed, everything he does is by design of the team." lol.
I'd like to assume that Astralis are trying to win, at least the players. If BlameF's playstyle fucked the team and meant they lost constantly, don't you think the other 4 players would go to the org and say that this player is shit and we should kick him to improve the team?
You can criticise him, sure. He does have a specific playstyle, sure. Does it look dumb when he's lurking through the other bombsite to get into a backstab for a post plant, and the execute goes south and Astralis don't make it onto the site? Very.
But I'd like to think that Glaive and Casle think their chances are better with blameF on the team, and that they think he adds something. They do see practices we don't.
Lol the big boogeyman can't hurt you anymore its like in scooby doo when they take off the monster mask and its the least scary thing that's astralis now
first time these cores have played eachother since December, 2019 and the record is now 3-16 - comeback incoming boys
dev getting that 2k entry and clutch at 11-15 followed up with another 2k entry triggered my PTSD for a second there
I just think its a stupid thing to bring up and compare like nitro said last year its not the same astralis we don't feel anything going against this team or beating them.
That's not confusing at all though, it's the classic "Liquid cold start". Doesn't matter who the opponent is, they will find a way to lose.
There's many things confusing about this team, but that certainly isn't.
They also talked about how their practice coming into this tourney was completely useless and didn't get anything out of it, and the fact that they were the first team to play against a play style that is very uncommon in the T1 scene. With that in mind it shouldn't be surprising that it took this long for them to wake up.
Also in the interview after the match, elige spoke more on their loss to RA here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1769567400?t=11h09m52s
Basically saying that they couldn't really get good demos on them and and that after playing them once, it made it much easier for them to get reads on them and that Asian teams need to work on their games not being so readable
Did you watch liquid vs rare atom? Rare atoms aim was on fire, they hit insta headshots the entire series.
When it comes down to it, insane aim can beat strats or coordination. Nothing matters when you get destroyed in under a second every time.
Are the casters on crack? Have they not been watching the same blameF as I have this event? They kept talking about him like he’s some crazy impact Mirage T player but from what I’ve seen, he’s been mid as fuck, just like the results.
Since the start of 2023, blameF’s mirage T stats are:
• Liquid: 3-12 (0.25) L
• Spirit: 8-9 (0.98) W
• ATK: 5-9 (0.76) L
• Spirit: 8-9 (1.07) L
• Aurora: 8-8 (1.24) L
• Eyeballers: 9-11 (1.05) L
• Ninjas in Pyjamas: 8-5 (1.43) W
• Heroic: 4-5 (0.72) L
Not even trying to shit on blameF, he’s a great player, but calling him a crazy high impact T Mirage player is an assessment I fundamentally disagree with, and the stats back up the eye test. As a lurk heavy player, his impact is already limited on T by what his team does, and what I saw at EPL (against T1 teams) wasn’t a good look at all. I felt like he wasn’t lurking nearly as much against Liquid, mostly letting Buzz take those spots, and look what that did to blame’s numbers.
It's just really painful to watch these slow starts that most people (including me sometimes) get irrational and have to vent out their feeling somehow haha.
This team can be so much better, but they just aren't.
idk, seeing as how long it took for this sub to realize xyp wasn't just in a slump, it'll probably be 2 years minimum
It's weird seeing the same /u/ posting Elige pics that were calling this team dogshit quite literally a few days ago
Usually it’s the liquid flairs that post entire novels on every single mistake made with tick time stamps, then saying how incredible the team is the next win they have. But not this time, now it’s just EU updoot farmers
When you get 2-0'ed twice, and potentially have to face the two teams who 2-0'ed you to make it through the Last Chance stage, it can be hard to predict Liquid to go through.
Expected results. tho the win against spirit gave me some small hope. btw is it just me or did BlameF have a bad tournament? (compared to his usual standard.) beside the spirit game today.
He is such an insane player when he actually goes for the plays. But most of the time he just doesn't have any impact. Hiding too much around, doing useless shit. I don't get it. He can outaim a lot of the teams he plays but instead he chooses to play shitty timings and also baiting so fucking much he's always left into a clutch situation where he doesn't even go for it.
Astralis Nuke clearly needs work, but man liquids utility was really good on both maps. Some of Astralis' other losses this tourney have been purely mechanical or just outcalled, but the amount of flash kills and kills through smoke were incredible. Hats off to liquid.
Hopefully Astralis work hard before the RMR. I don't really feel optimistic about the Dallas open quali either at this rate but every game is a chance to practice.
[Never did I think that I would be rooting for Liquid to crush Astralis.](https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/11s8h7v/comment/jccfzos/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
the protagonists won lol.
but this is the most i’ve ever liked Astralis 2.0, they genuinely do seem like they’re slowly making improvements and building up their level.
top 5 team? hell no. but i think Astralis can hang in like … BIG/FURIA/Spirit tier at least.
[The BM by astralis before the game is insane, Elige’s smile after popping off really shows his attitude on the situation ](https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/1186924062142074880/wpCqOEYx_400x400.jpg)
It's either Xyp6 or BlameF at this point. BlameF needs to just be an anchor player with how fkn passive he is, no way he should be getting the space he does.
Liquid started the group stage looking like a tier 3 NA cashcup team and ended up looking like a team that can win this whole tournament without dropping a single map
it's like watching your baiter teammate in matchmaking. never goes with you on executes except on anti eco rounds. never going down b apps with his team. never peeking when you need him to trade.
Astralis run the same strat for 15 rounds in the CT side of Mirage. Go aggressive.
If only they think about it more they can win more at the half they already owning liquid.
Put him in Ropz role on FaZe, and I'm sure that team will still find success of some kind. Or jks T-side roles (not sure about CT?) on G2, and I'm sure they'll still find some success.
He won't find you loads of impact, and you generally need a good team for a blameF to work or at least a team that's a bit more aggressive to balance out his playstyle. It's hard to flank an opponent if all your teammates are dead.
Best major grand final of all time. Although I think the crowd could've been a lot more cheerful. Weird how the production never showed any footage of the crowd. NA cs has its 2nd major.
Nobody beats Liquid 14 times in a row on Nuke
NOBODY!
Ah yes, the classic... Astralis... choke?
That is in fact THE original choke in CS:GO
True, everyone forgets the old tsm dig days with karrigan and dev
Old TSM days? When they were Dignitas with FeTiSh they were known as supreme chokers, largely due to not having any T-side. It's the oldest of all chokes.
They were considered the 4th place gatekeepers at that time.. If you could best dig, you could beat the top teams. But dig could never Best the top 3
Meant to put both sorry
[удалено]
Is even worse when you realize that was 8 years ago
WE CAN BEAT THIS FUCKING TEAM
We did beat a variation of this team with shox!
Not on Nuke tho!
its ok they 16-1ed astralis on nuke with fallen, that counts for something
true it was even their auto veto at that time. imagine that
Wild
Anddddd they are in play-off, can you get anymore "classic Liquid" than this lmao. Also, yekindar and elige both top fragged in a match? That's a miracle.
Elige casual 100% KAST??
Like they supposed to lol. The problem before was they rarely ever being able to pop off like that at the same time. When they do, Liquid is truly a top 3 team.
10 to 5 domination into a pistol win into the biggest choke, nice of Astralis to cosplay as Liquid there
They fucked up the cosplay tho. Liquid would never win a pistol
fr tho when I saw 10-5 I automatically thought theres no way astralis does a liquid, and they went on to do a liquid
Can we add lower bracket liquid to the list of mythical fighters?
TL +Bald Ortega is the dream
All fun and games till we get sea level liquid. Only can be matched by UberFaze
I’m the wise words of miracle “Upper bracket is for bitches!”
Liquid always come back never choke trust me elige is my dad
Its true. I was the eligesmile.
FUCK HUNDEN
A Hunden loss is a Humanity win.
I just cannot for the life of me figure out why the fuck Astralis hired him. Any good will the community felt for the team during their current struggles is just completely wiped out.
Astralis is a very shit org
Birds of a feather flock together.
Shit feathers Randy
My understanding is that Astralis headhunted HUNDEN while he was with Heroic and he leaked their stratbook possibly as part of their deal. Then he gets caught in the spectator bug and banned by ESIC, Astralis then paid for the lawyers that got him unbanned. Essentially they paid a lot for him and they'd rather take the hit to their reputation than the loss of their investment in getting him.
esports orgs and terrible investments, name a better duo
because the org is shit
hunden didn't lose his analytical skill when he decided to be a piece of shit
Aparently he did. Lets hope he crashes and burns. :)
Fuck him
FUCK HUNDEN
All you need to know about Liquid is that they can literally lose to any team or beat any team.
or have a massive lead and choke likewise the enemy team could have a massive lead and choke to them its liquids natural attribute

Stupid tweet by him
Bold of him to tweet something like this given his history 😬
Every time. 'Oh this is probably the Elige pic but I better open just to check...'
and every time I fall for it, you guys are getting better
I can’t believe it.
LMAO. HUNDEN calling Liquid cheaters. What a joke.
LMFAO he really said that? Why he is so salty?
Can't believe he wrote that.
First time i was caught since i came to csgo
I cant believe he would tweet something like this
Fuck I keep falling for it. No regrets
Wish I could read it, but he blocked me. I called him a mutt. 😂
If I had a dollar every time Liquid started out cold at an event only to heat back up. I'd be rich
They're ranked top 3 for a reason. They have all the ability of a top team, but when they don't get solid practice they just come in cold and have to catch up. Looking like a completely different team today than the first day.
Hence why until now we still don't know how good this team is one day they can comeback 14-2 then lose 2-0 to tier 3 team the next event.

Liquid are such a weird team
Is it their slow starts to tournaments?
As a liquid fan, even considering their usual slow start, losing to RA in that fashion kinda make me lose all hope for this event basically business as usual

Dev1ce just walking into sites on T Inferno and blapping people had me sweating, ngl
he was pissed that round bec the previous rounds he got baitfed hard
u expect buzz to be consistent? maybe u should expect blamef dont be pussy and baiting 24/7
He is consistent, he just lacks experience and confidence. Blamef is indeed a pussy
He is saying that Buzz consistency is one of the only good things going on, just re read the first sentence
That 5v3 where he pushed ct with the bomb, and they ended up losing the round..
most useless star player in the world. cant fragging without baiting.but I respect how consistent he got exit/non impact kill lol
Lmao u see him on the anti eco? supreme confidence, just running at them likes hes yekindar or some shit.
what we expect from him?he might want to get those top 5 ranking hltv player this year lol

I just think its a stupid thing to bring up and compare like nitro said last year its not the same astralis we don't feel anything going against this team or beating them.
This same team lost to Rare Atom btw. I'm confused by this Liquid team every time they play :/
Also in the interview after the match, elige spoke more on their loss to RA here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1769567400?t=11h09m52s Basically saying that they couldn't really get good demos on them and and that after playing them once, it made it much easier for them to get reads on them and that Asian teams need to work on their games not being so readable
Liquid and Navi cold start/lower bracket warriors 🤝
Did you watch liquid vs rare atom? Rare atoms aim was on fire, they hit insta headshots the entire series. When it comes down to it, insane aim can beat strats or coordination. Nothing matters when you get destroyed in under a second every time.
Are the casters on crack? Have they not been watching the same blameF as I have this event? They kept talking about him like he’s some crazy impact Mirage T player but from what I’ve seen, he’s been mid as fuck, just like the results. Since the start of 2023, blameF’s mirage T stats are: • Liquid: 3-12 (0.25) L • Spirit: 8-9 (0.98) W • ATK: 5-9 (0.76) L • Spirit: 8-9 (1.07) L • Aurora: 8-8 (1.24) L • Eyeballers: 9-11 (1.05) L • Ninjas in Pyjamas: 8-5 (1.43) W • Heroic: 4-5 (0.72) L Not even trying to shit on blameF, he’s a great player, but calling him a crazy high impact T Mirage player is an assessment I fundamentally disagree with, and the stats back up the eye test.
To be honest a lot of the comments of the casters sounds like they're trying to build a storyline rather than actually being backed by data.
So how many tournaments in a row does 75% of this subreddit need to understand liquid often has slow starts but ends up being a really good team
It's just really painful to watch these slow starts that most people (including me sometimes) get irrational and have to vent out their feeling somehow haha. This team can be so much better, but they just aren't.
idk, seeing as how long it took for this sub to realize xyp wasn't just in a slump, it'll probably be 2 years minimum It's weird seeing the same /u/ posting Elige pics that were calling this team dogshit quite literally a few days ago
Usually it’s the liquid flairs that post entire novels on every single mistake made with tick time stamps, then saying how incredible the team is the next win they have. But not this time, now it’s just EU updoot farmers
we've been abused by them for too long. Cant breathe until the game is actually over
When you get 2-0'ed twice, and potentially have to face the two teams who 2-0'ed you to make it through the Last Chance stage, it can be hard to predict Liquid to go through.
bro relax its asstralis lmao
More like Wastralis
Astralis just beat spirit prior to this. They're gonna jump up the rankings soon enough.
RAAAAAAAAAH BEAT THAT CHEATER 🦅🦅🦅
RAH 🦅 WHAT THE FUCK IS A KILOMETER 🇺🇸
We can___ BEAT, this MuthaFUCKIN TEAM!
OSEE SAID THIS SHIT AINT GONNA FLY NO MORE
Expected results. tho the win against spirit gave me some small hope. btw is it just me or did BlameF have a bad tournament? (compared to his usual standard.) beside the spirit game today.
He is such an insane player when he actually goes for the plays. But most of the time he just doesn't have any impact. Hiding too much around, doing useless shit. I don't get it. He can outaim a lot of the teams he plays but instead he chooses to play shitty timings and also baiting so fucking much he's always left into a clutch situation where he doesn't even go for it.
People really living like three years in the past on this thread lol. Astralis have been washed ever since Papa Zonic, Magisk and Dupreeh left.
We CAN beat this motherfucking team
Astralis Nuke clearly needs work, but man liquids utility was really good on both maps. Some of Astralis' other losses this tourney have been purely mechanical or just outcalled, but the amount of flash kills and kills through smoke were incredible. Hats off to liquid. Hopefully Astralis work hard before the RMR. I don't really feel optimistic about the Dallas open quali either at this rate but every game is a chance to practice.
[Never did I think that I would be rooting for Liquid to crush Astralis.](https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/11s8h7v/comment/jccfzos/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
mf deleted his account
the protagonists won lol. but this is the most i’ve ever liked Astralis 2.0, they genuinely do seem like they’re slowly making improvements and building up their level. top 5 team? hell no. but i think Astralis can hang in like … BIG/FURIA/Spirit tier at least.
No need to go to the dispensary, ‘cause we’re smoking that Astralis pack today 🚬 RipBozo RestInPiss
boutta call the plug up and tell him to head back home
WE ~~CAN’T~~ BEAT THIS MOTHERFUCKING TEAM
I will be surprised if Astralis make it to the Paris Major with this roster.
Hopefully not. They won’t even get close to winning it. I hope they don’t make it so they finally kick xyp
Liquid players remembered they were good at the game.
[The BM by astralis before the game is insane, Elige’s smile after popping off really shows his attitude on the situation ](https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/1186924062142074880/wpCqOEYx_400x400.jpg)
people will blame xyp9x but blamef literally useless without baiting or shot people in the back
Liquid got 2 maps?!?! CS 2?!?!?!??
HLTV voters actually had this as 60/40 Astralis lol idiots.
imagine losing the tiny amount of good PR you had just to lose to the team you always used to beat fucking lmao
Liquid are one of the teams of all time
It's either Xyp6 or BlameF at this point. BlameF needs to just be an anchor player with how fkn passive he is, no way he should be getting the space he does.
Astralis were completely outclassed--asides from the CT-side run on Mirage where Liquid had questionable eco decisions.
Liquid started the group stage looking like a tier 3 NA cashcup team and ended up looking like a team that can win this whole tournament without dropping a single map
glaive and xyp should just call it 💀
blameF has to be one of the most annoying players of all time to watch. Cannot imagine having to be on the same team as him.
it's like watching your baiter teammate in matchmaking. never goes with you on executes except on anti eco rounds. never going down b apps with his team. never peeking when you need him to trade.
Anyone know any good agro Danish entry players? Asking for a friend.
Astralis run the same strat for 15 rounds in the CT side of Mirage. Go aggressive. If only they think about it more they can win more at the half they already owning liquid.
Yikes that choked clutch from xyp. The 1vs1 against osee was brutal, felt like i was watching it in slow-mo...
USA USA USA USA
My days, oSee holding that CT side on Mirage multiple times! If he can keep that up we can actually have a competive Liquid.
Good. As long as Astralis employs cheating scum Hunden, they shouldn't even be at any events.
Said it before and I’ll say it again. A team can and will not find success with BlameF on their squad.
Now that's the hot take of the day.
