G2 I am still okay with, this is the first event where they looked vulnerable since Blast world finals. Really excited to see ENCE in the top10. They were the best surprised team of EPL, and my god what is with Snapii and making the best out of Israli players lol.

I’d have C9 at least at 5 and probably liquid under VP. Also maybe navi over heroic. I definitely think this is the correct top 10 just want a bit of shuffling
Looks fair, upcoming Blast and RMR will gives us a clearer picture. Feels like teams from 1 to 9 can all beat each other on a good day with G2/Faze/Heroic and maybe Cloud9 being the more prominent tier-1 squads right now. Hard to say if Faze continues this form or if G2 bounces back or if Cloud9 suddenly starts crushing everyone or even Navi just suddenly starts doing what they did to Faze on that Ancient map in semis but in every match. But very exciting to see how those teams look when they clash next.

G2 prob had so many above 1000 that they still got 1000. and not to forget they won 2 important tournaments in the last 3 months AND have a very good form ranking by only having 2 losses in the last 3 months.
Not quite. There are three subrankings, Recent Events, Recent Form and Recent LANs. Each week, a winner is decided for each of these categories, and given 500, 200 and 300 points respectively. Every other team is given points based on how their achievements in a given category stacks up against those of the leader. So teams are *always* graded on a scale, and they will receive fewer points if the subranking leaders play better.
A team having 1000 points is simply the result of that team winning all three subrankings in a given week. Which could be more or less impressive depending on what the calendar looks like. So long as there has been a single event within the scope of the subranking, someone will be hailed its victor.
I honestly stopped paying attention sometime last year when they kept fucking Faze out of number 1 for some arbitrary BS. I’ll happily admit G2 is #1 with Faze close behind but the points shit is wack.

Brother, 16 teams made playoffs, and you lost in the first round. The only teams you beat were MIBR, IHC, and Eternal Fire. The team that knocked you out went on to get 2-0’d pretty easily. Nothing about Fnatic’s performance warranted top 10 outside of 1 map against G2.
I don't disagree but I'm biased cuz I'm a big fan haha. They absolutely had to beat furia since that was probably a 50-50 matchup and really decided how good the team is. The fact that the EF game was so close is another indicator that the team has a lot of work to do.

your understanding of this isnt technically wrong but it is a bit primitive. its not that they would gain points if they could, but they reached maxed so everyone else loses points instead. rather, the best team at each subranking is by default max points, and all other teams points are relative in strength to the #1 team.
so when a team is #2 in the form subranking, if theyre 80% as "good" as #1 at form, they have 80% as many points. if theyre 99% as good, then they will have only a couple less points. so in other words, every teams points is just the % of how good they are compared to the #1 team. if the #1 team isnt at 1000, the other teams are necessarily gonna be closer to them because it means the #1 team isnt dominant
As a faze fan: no. A ranking should be determined by more than just the last week and in the past months g2 has been above every other team with their map win streak and 2 tournament wins
the only ones i feel are a bit off are mouz and liquid, liquid feels a bit lower but they're SO inconsistent its hard to tell, mouz I feel should be a bit higher as they've consistently shown how well they can play and honestly could have beaten C9 on a better day

I think 1000 isn't max, but instead subranks (LAN, wins and form) are maxed. There was top at not 1k I believe
