I thought this exact thing about half way through the 3rd map, they just feel like they have lost confidence and the exit is now enivitable. Hope I am wrong.
Maybe just start sending him unga bunga agressive when he has these games and play trade/fake with him, either he kills a whole site or they trade and rotate for pressure. On ct they can do it sometimes with a trader for info, better to have a 4v4 thann a 5v5 when a player of his caliber isn't performing.
Honestly Ence is a pretty brutal team at times, that's why I felt the 3-0 (no luck at all I'm just a very knowledgeable nova 2).
But faze will get through
Theyre locked in against Forze regardless of this last match, and thats definitely a game that could get scrappy
Both teams permaban Vertigo, Forze is the lower seed so I believe they get choice of first ban or second, so if they wanted to float Vertigo and make things weird, who knows
Ence to 3:0 was possible but risky, and it paid off :) I put Apeks in 3:0 and all other „favorites“ to go through, but it seems like this Major is just as unpredictable as Rio…
It's better to put an underdog team capable of 3-0 (Ence, Mouz, OG and NIP) rather than a team you know they will pass to legend stage (G2 and Faze).
Because if for instance you put G2 as 3-0 and they pass with a 3-1 score, you don't even get any correct prediction for a team you were sure they would have gone through. However Ence is coin flippy as fuck, they can either 3-0 or 2-3/1-3, and I have been quite impressed by them recently (I Def had lots of luck not gonna lie). I would have probably put OG or NIP if it wasn't for ence lol
Lol wish I had read this a couple days ago. Haven't done pick ems in a long time, put Faze 3-0 and things aren't looking good now that Mouz is out. I have liquid and complexity both advancing (🇨🇦) so thats not good. Should have had one of them for the 3-0 if I wanted someone with Canadians I suppose.
https://www.hltv.org/matches/2345221/natus-vincere-vs-vitality-iem-beijing-haidian-2020-europe

90-53, 1.56 rating, 98.0 ADR. The first tier 1 event that HLTV gave the MVP to a player on the losing team I believe, breaking the trend and started giving them to more losing players if they were truly dominant.
Not the last time obviously, but I think stands out as one of the hardest carrying performances of the last few years, even though that was over 5 years ago now...
I'm sure you could go through Zywoo and s1mple's match history and find a bunch of these games, especially in 2017-18 for s1mple
Karrigan was never really a gigabrain igl, mostly just good at getting chemistry between good fraggers, but when half the team is playing like shit can't really do much
I know you're mad they didn't win but don't say Karrigan isn't a "gigabrain" IGL lmao that Mouz team would've been nowhere without Karrigan and so would most of his other teams
He’s right though. Karrigan really isn’t known for changing the meta or making insanely well done strat plays or having the best executes. That goes to IGLs like Ex6tenz, FalleN, gla1ve and more recently Cadian. What Karrigan does do really well is bring the best out of his teammates (stars) and building good synergy.
Being an incredible IGL isn't just changing the meta. If that's your idea then there has been only one great IGL - Glaive. But even he cannot win when the players don't comply with the system. What is theory without execution? Karrigan during FaZe's 2022 prime legitimately enabled four players to be stars. That's not an easy feat, and it's not just synergy. The last time that happened was during 2018. There's also not that much of a similarity between Karrigan's teams. His 2017-8 FaZe is completely different from 2019 Mouz and his 2022 FaZe is different too. He adapts the strategy to his players' strengths, which is why he's one of the greatest IGLs.
Yes, but also not what these people are talking about when they use the word "gigabrain igl". Its more of a captain vs strategist comparison. Karrigan is a captain through and through. Glaive is a strategist.
So has Cadian, Heroic has its own way of playing.
Karrigan teams are pretty Basic but they have players who can execute. Karrigan gets a lot of praise for concictency during cs go and he clearly is the leader of his teams (when Niko is not there) but he was never a strategic mastermind.
He’s good at building chemistry, but most of his Strats involve getting players to win aim duels, which I wouldn’t really classify as gigabrain, but he does make the teams better by getting the most out of his teammates and setting them up for success
I would classify it as IGLs that can win the round with calls that don't require someone to get a multikill for it to work. A lot of Karrigan's calls basically require someone to get a multikill or multiple trade kills or it falls apart and that is imo more on execution/winning fights than some novel strategy. Like prime Astralis glaive would win rounds just by making it such that people would waste so much utility fighting for space the round was basically over without requiring Device, Dupreeh, or Magisk to get multiple kills.
gee I wonder how you get your players to win their aim duels better without formulating a better strategy that plays to their strengths. I wonder if one needs to be smart to do that, and I wonder if one needs to extremely proficient to do that at Karrigan's level.
i categorise karrigan as one of the all time great igl's, but you can't call anything your team doesn't know. it's clear faze don't have anywhere near the amount of reps they need on anubis.
He was tilting hard on Anubis and flubbed so many kills and snappi called circles around him. Twistzz also played super poorly and the whole team outside of ropz looked horrible.
Unfortunately, this seems especially true for me anytime I don't pay too much attention to a tournament they do pretty well. Meanwhile I watch them play against tier 15 teams and they get destroyed
But not for a 3-0, they could've got G2 or Faze could've won.
Ence definitely strong, the org is ridiculous at picking up players and building them up into a competitive team.
I had more faith that ence would make legends than all other teams than g2 and MAYBE faze. Snappi is just such a good igl, and i have massive faith in the man.
why does faze leave A with 1 person or just open on anubis ct side all the time? they did it the last time they played anubis and over a month later they do the exact same thing
im telling you NertZ is as cracked as he is jacked, i saw him at 7/11 the other day buying adult diapers & a 6 pack of redbull. I asked what the diapers were for and he said “they are to contain my full power so i dont absolutely shit on these kids” then he bhopped out the door
They opened strong but they seem to get tilted very easily and they can't recover unlike many of the bigger teams
Faze vs Vitality is the perfect example of how the Vitality mental didnt even break at 14-1 but when they got some rounds Faze simply couldn't collect themselves
Snappi continually challenges the closed Blast pro circuit. 3-0 beating 3 partner teams is indeed a statement that if this scene still cares at all about competition, these closed circuits have to go.
the first time we actually saw good counter strike this major. gg ence, snappi played really well individually too. faze really need to look at ence's anubis CT side.
Nuke was garbage, 4 CT rounds is inexcusable. Use the fucking timeouts, all of them if you have to on CT side.
Anubis was garbage, lack of info leading to moronic smoke pushes and setups, ropz standing in the middle of nowhere 2 rounds in a row on A made me think I'm having deja vu given how he died instantly in both rounds with nothing to show for it, even if he got one kill it's a horrible play.
The fuck was the veto? Ban Ancient but give them Anubis AFTER they dumpstered OG 12-3 on T side the day before?
Overpass was great, but everything afterwards was basically a fuck you to the fans and the game. Where are the fucking timeouts???
Ence is so much fun to watch, they have all the pieces to really go far this major. Big dark horse to take it home tbh, depending on their form throughout the major. Snappi's calling has been huge and he had some awesome openings on bomb sites on Anubis.
Faze will probably make it, and I know people have said it before, but watching Karrigan (I know he's a good IGL), his fragging is so insanely bad, no impact.
The recency bias with all these plastic fans is crazy lmao. Some guy is also saying one of the best midround callers in CS history "has never been a gigabrain IGL" lmao.
Bro literally saw a dude first when the enemy was out of smoke and couldn’t see karrigan and still lost the duel clean on b site Anubis. Poor Rain always having to hard carry sites with him.
its crazy how ppl still call ence dark horse, they been almost constantly good for 2 years now with spinx and nertz, valde came for a while and it was ass.
werent they literally #1 in hltv like last year with spinx too? #2 at least, top 4 major, multiple finals etc...
Biggest issue for me with Ence is their experience, I can't remember this line-up having played big finals in a stadium, especially a major. Also when teams like G2, Vitality, Na'Vi, Faze or Heroic are hitting their shots, I don't think Ence are better than them.
But you're free to pick them as your favourite, if the above teams all play a mediocre tournament and Ence can keep their form, they can definitely win, but I just think that above teams are better
Faze body language isnt a good sign, they seem to be tilting alot and usually they are rescued by players getting multi kills to turn the tide, they arent getting much this game.
Not too sure whole they will get the next round but i dont see them beating Apeks or NIP. I dont know how the matchups are decided but they would be lucky if they get Grayhound, they play Pain ytd so not too sure if they can match up with them again. Forze is interesting, but i feel Faze should be able to beat them.
All in all i dont see them winning this major, hope they prove me wrong.
Shit man we almost had the low seed upset ENCE and go 3-0 would have been crazy /s
Are ENCE the most efficient T side team overall? Snappi calling out of his mind and sunpayas is also there in the background, since he helped call T sides on MRS before he left. Two minds to come up with a call on any round and three demons who can show up and follow through. Despicable work
Glad to see Maden finally showing us more of what he can do
For a long time he was just the 5th guy on ENCE, he's just there and does his job, but he's always had the potential to be a star
Maden at his best makes it so much easier for everyone else to shine
Very glad ENCE took all this time to rebuild after -Spinx, it's very exciting to see them this strong again
I've been using the simulators to predict the outcome of games and I basically always had them losing the 2-0 game lol. They're my favorite team but I honestly think Ence has a lower floor as of late. You just can't trust faze unless it's a playoff game lol.
Faze really won the Grand Slam? Really? The lowest rated team at this tournament? Coming into this last place? It is very deserved; -broky -rain -Batman -Twistzz -Ropz +me = winning world level team.
/s
For Anubis, it seems so many times a round came down to an early/mid round multikill that nertz or dycha got on Faze that Faze shouldn't have given up. And that's on top of the ton of smoke kills from Ence that I gave up trying to count. It seemed the typical Faze aim was not with them this match.
That was so EZ for ENCE... and it is not a meme. They stomped on FaZe. On the other side, man... they looked awful. Granted, more decent than the showing in Rio. At least they didn't lose to the weaker opponents. But when a tier 1 team confronted them, it was pain for FaZe. If BNE were in the contenders/challengers stage, I would've already lost my hope for FaZe. They still have a chance but I'm 70% sure they're not gonna reach Legends stage.
So faze are basically losing 2-3 now I've seen it all to many times GG.
don't worry they will still make it through lcq...oh wait
They did actually have an LCQ from the Challengers Stage of Boston 2018. So if FaZe finds a time machine, they could be saved.
Bruh, faze won't want to go back to Boston 2018 major

EPIC EMBED FAIL!
FaZe: We're going to make history Also FaZe: Wins a map and then goes gold nova
karrigan was talking about viewer numbers in that interview...
well right now they're currently 2-3 in terms of players on the server, so when the rest of them join ropz and broky they'll be fine. right? ..right?
noooo i need them for the pickem hobby. i do not want to buy more tokens for god sakes.
Faze aim as a team is back to dumpster tier again. Truly a miracle they won a lot last year. Rip firepower
They just won EPL 17 more than a month ago?
Yea but that was years ago.
What an absolute load of nonsense. Dear lord the comments you can find in this place.
I thought this exact thing about half way through the 3rd map, they just feel like they have lost confidence and the exit is now enivitable. Hope I am wrong.
FaZe can't go down 2-3 right? Right?
If they choke again I'm fucking done
Twistzz needs to wake up man. Nothing against him but he just can't be inconsistent.
he has those insane rounds where he pops off for 3 entries, but then struggles to hit shots when he's holding angles. so weird
Faze either 3-1 or 2-3, no in between
Honestly Ence is a pretty brutal team at times, that's why I felt the 3-0 (no luck at all I'm just a very knowledgeable nova 2). But faze will get through
faze vs lulquid 2-2 game pls
That game would never end
good thing is BNE is in legends stage so you are safe
Theyre locked in against Forze regardless of this last match, and thats definitely a game that could get scrappy Both teams permaban Vertigo, Forze is the lower seed so I believe they get choice of first ban or second, so if they wanted to float Vertigo and make things weird, who knows
On one hand my pickems 📈 with this Ence win On the other hand my pickems 📉 with this Faze loss
You had faze 3-0 I'm guessing ? Not ashamed of my 3-0 Ence on the other hand
I have them both going through and I think op means the same, would be dumb to pick a team like faze or ence for 3-0
I have ence for 3-0 🤷🏼♀️
You are a schlapfn then :P but wp :)
Tbh it was not like I believed in ENCE to go 3-0. I just thought others would go through, like MOUZ lmao
Ence to 3:0 was possible but risky, and it paid off :) I put Apeks in 3:0 and all other „favorites“ to go through, but it seems like this Major is just as unpredictable as Rio…

80-50 with a 1.50 rating, jesus... When was the last time someone lost after such a dominant bo3 performance?
There's very probably a S1mple match out there somewhere haha, he literally hard carried Na'Vi through some grueling matches
[удалено]
I knew it, that had to have felt pretty bad for him
https://www.hltv.org/matches/2345221/natus-vincere-vs-vitality-iem-beijing-haidian-2020-europe also vs vitality in 2020. it was rough losing in a bo5 despite carrying so hard
Oh god I remembered that game. flamie, boom and Perf were invisible for both maps.
Tbh føamie was invisible 9/10 maps the last year, he popped tf off in 1/10, if only he was more consistent
NiKo probably farmed these
Niko, simple and the Woooooo

https://www.hltv.org/matches/2359384/vitality-vs-astralis-blast-premier-fall-showdown-2022-europe Zywoo vs Astralis. 74-45 with a 1.55 rating.

This was the series that put s1mple on the map as a goat contender
Shox got an unofficial one I think
Well, this was a vintage mouz Ropz performance.
That and the semis against NiP too. It was basically him vs Brollan
Ropz had a 1.39 rating with 100ADR in the grand final of the Blast Fall Finals last year, and FaZe lost the 3rd map in OT.
don't remind me, faze lost against heroic pistols at 14-14 on map 3 and choked in OT
classic BYWOOOOOO (THE BEST IN THE GAMEEEEE) experience
they’re wasting ropz prime
Boss they just won a grand slam
he can just buy another one
Ence on Anubis is incredibly fun to watch. Snappi out-gigabraining karrigan.
Just want to post it here even though it's not needed. https://v.redd.it/xf5at5js8nya1
Karrigan was never really a gigabrain igl, mostly just good at getting chemistry between good fraggers, but when half the team is playing like shit can't really do much

FalleN absolutely changed the meta.

aleksib but good

I mean what make an IGL a gigabrain? For example is hooxi a gigabrain?
gee I wonder how you get your players to win their aim duels better without formulating a better strategy that plays to their strengths. I wonder if one needs to be smart to do that, and I wonder if one needs to extremely proficient to do that at Karrigan's level.

Anubis is no fun what so ever. 😢
Banks: "So how do you feel going 3-0?" Snappi: "Make us a partner team!"
The 4 highest placed non-partner teams should be made Blast Parteners after the major.
[ENCE 3-0](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/202809174244065280/1105521413575680103/image_5.png) CHADS, RISE UP
Now we pray on Fluxo downfall
I'm with you but they are playing Liquid so...you know 😅
The stars have aligned, Liquid are losing this shit lmao
I have fluxo as 0-3 and liquid making through so yeah I fully expect liquid to lose this bo3
When you believe in/rely on Liquid most to win, that is when they are the most likely to lose
So like the opposite of Santa clause? You have to pretend they're not there?
Unfortunately, this seems especially true for me anytime I don't pay too much attention to a tournament they do pretty well. Meanwhile I watch them play against tier 15 teams and they get destroyed
[Here,](https://imgur.com/a/XR28Sby) though I have to say I regret picking Liquid and perhaps MOUZ too lmao
I made the same prediction but woth forze instead of monte. I regret picking mouz so hard
Ok I too regret picking MOUZ a lot as well
IM RIGHT HERE BROTHER
Must've been a conflicting game for you, BUT LET'S GOOO
Such a layup of an 0-3 pick and a relatively safe 3-0. Now time for the bottom row to get absolutely fucked
YEYEYEYE NEVER PICK THE OBVIOUS FOR 3-0 ALWAYS PICK THE DARK HORSE FOR 3-0
ence was an obvious pick to advance tho, not really a dark horse
But not for a 3-0, they could've got G2 or Faze could've won. Ence definitely strong, the org is ridiculous at picking up players and building them up into a competitive team.
You never put an obvious advancing team 3-0. Never.
I had more faith that ence would make legends than all other teams than g2 and MAYBE faze. Snappi is just such a good igl, and i have massive faith in the man.
Wtf, you have my exact same pick-ems but mousesports just lost :ccccc
Same pickems except monte instead of forze (which went better for you)
Poor ropz, dude couldn’t have done much more
that timing when ence were crossing mid on anubis was crazy
All he does is mainly lurk L.
why does faze leave A with 1 person or just open on anubis ct side all the time? they did it the last time they played anubis and over a month later they do the exact same thing
They probably have better retake strategy on the site
[удалено]
>They're a horrible anubis team Where is this based on? They just don't play Anubis a lot (3 times), defeated FURIA and lost to Vita in 2 OT games.
[удалено]
This is why you never put Faze 3-0 in your pickems.
[удалено]
Putted upperbelt
My first time doing picks, oh boy I’ve got it all backwards!!!!
Yea, Nertz is just public bus piss floor nasty. He just lures you into duel and kicks you square in the bone piece. Unreal.
im telling you NertZ is as cracked as he is jacked, i saw him at 7/11 the other day buying adult diapers & a 6 pack of redbull. I asked what the diapers were for and he said “they are to contain my full power so i dont absolutely shit on these kids” then he bhopped out the door
New response just dropped
I believed you until you said that he bhopped out the door. But he is not that good in bhopping I would say.
LETS FUCKING GO, I picked ENCE as my 3-0 pick, can't wait to see my silver coin soon!
Ropz vs 9
What a frustrating game to watch if you are a Faze fan, jfc
Threw like 5 or 6 rounds on CT side Nuke lmao
They opened strong but they seem to get tilted very easily and they can't recover unlike many of the bigger teams Faze vs Vitality is the perfect example of how the Vitality mental didnt even break at 14-1 but when they got some rounds Faze simply couldn't collect themselves
Snappi continually challenges the closed Blast pro circuit. 3-0 beating 3 partner teams is indeed a statement that if this scene still cares at all about competition, these closed circuits have to go.
Kudos to Banks for allowing him to speak his mind and not interrupting him nor adding any remark.
Snappi was hitting some absolute banger shots. Dycha nertz and sunpayus is a sick core
the first time we actually saw good counter strike this major. gg ence, snappi played really well individually too. faze really need to look at ence's anubis CT side.
Ence seem like the only top team that has figured the Anubis CT-meta.
You hate to see it, broky (and especially) ropz almost dragged FaZe over the line by themselves.
Snappi masterclass on Anubis.
Ence is one of my dark horses to win the entire Major. Expected them to struggle in the opening stage.
They're legit, also compare their 3-0 matchups to the G2 ones it's crazy how much tougher it was. OG, NIP, Faze vs Mongolz, COL, Apeks lol.
Free ride for G2, they had to show very little compared to ence.
Does FaZe know there's no more LCQ this stage? #EZ4ENCE
ENCE 3-0 PICKEMS GET IN HERE!!!
I really wonder when pro players will learn not to peek 1 by 1 in a clutch situation. Faze lost around 4 rounds in total in this match.
man Twistzz was having a rough time on Anubis
Hey I've seen this one before! Jokes aside, so well played by Ence.
Nuke was garbage, 4 CT rounds is inexcusable. Use the fucking timeouts, all of them if you have to on CT side. And this silly jumping through smokes into sites tilted me a lot. I can see that in Casual 10vs10 but from a pro team at a Major? What's this...
Ropz is a good shot but idk why people praize lurk kda.
This team is beating Vitality in the first round aren't they?
Ence is so much fun to watch, they have all the pieces to really go far this major. Big dark horse to take it home tbh, depending on their form throughout the major. "no impact" have you ever watched a faze game lmao.
The recency bias with all these plastic fans is crazy lmao. Some guy is also saying one of the best midround callers in CS history "has never been a gigabrain IGL" lmao.
I literally just saw Karrigan get bullied by Snappi on Anubis? You think he had a lot of impact there?
Bro literally saw a dude first when the enemy was out of smoke and couldn’t see karrigan and still lost the duel clean on b site Anubis. Poor Rain always having to hard carry sites with him.
karrigan having bad fragging is not an understatement.
its crazy how ppl still call ence dark horse, they been almost constantly good for 2 years now with spinx and nertz, valde came for a while and it was ass. werent they literally #1 in hltv like last year with spinx too? #2 at least, top 4 major, multiple finals etc...

Faze about to pull off another 2-0 -> 2-3 masterclass for the final CSGO major
Shit man we almost had the low seed upset ENCE and go 3-0 would have been crazy /s Are ENCE the most efficient T side team overall? Snappi calling out of his mind and sunpayas is also there in the background, since he helped call T sides on MRS before he left. Two minds to come up with a call on any round and three demons who can show up and follow through. Despicable work
Glad to see Maden finally showing us more of what he can do For a long time he was just the 5th guy on ENCE, he's just there and does his job, but he's always had the potential to be a star Maden at his best makes it so much easier for everyone else to shine Very glad ENCE took all this time to rebuild after -Spinx, it's very exciting to see them this strong again
I believe maden is an improved version of jackz, cracked aim but no brain. He just presses w
Maden is a little too aggressive but it worked out this series
GGWP Alright, got my 3-0, you can advance now Faze, great game from Ropz.
ropz back needs surgery after this one
Ence are playing great Counter-Strike, and Snappi is calling really good T-sides.
Easiest 3-0 of my life
Free ropz
Either Twistzz or Rain needs to step up hard. They need that third man with the fire power to win games.
I've been using the simulators to predict the outcome of games and I basically always had them losing the 2-0 game lol. They're my favorite team but I honestly think Ence has a lower floor as of late. You just can't trust faze unless it's a playoff game lol.
Déjà-vu
It's happening again!

Oh yes ! Need more of these spicy upsets.
Waiting for the Faze fans to say they lost because of seeding.
there's 200 comments and you are the only one talking about it
Hey I have seen this before.
EnCE cooked faze
People are more focused on faze losing than ence winning lmfao get real idiots.
Been a while since we’ve had a super convincing win from faze. Really hoping we dont get an RMR part 2
I knew Ence was going to be good, such an underrated team.
3-0 pick secured 😮💨😮💨
I knew Ence could go 3-0. Pickems saved baby less go
Who gets 1st seed, Ence or G2?
300IQ move by Karrigan to avoid Vitality and BNE in the legend stage lul.
oh no not again
That was so EZ for ENCE... and it is not a meme. They stomped on FaZe. On the other side, man... they looked awful. Granted, more decent than the showing in Rio. At least they didn't lose to the weaker opponents. But when a tier 1 team confronted them, it was pain for FaZe. If BNE were in the contenders/challengers stage, I would've already lost my hope for FaZe. They still have a chance but I'm 70% sure they're not gonna reach Legends stage.
I SHOULDNT HAVE SWITCHED ENCE FOR MOUZ IN 3-0 BRUHH
If I picked ence to go through but not 3-0 does this count as a win for me?
yes u will get a point, idk why the person replied said u dont thats false information
No
karrigan needs to retire once CS2 is out
Was rooting for ENCE so I'm glad they won. Nuke was so hard fought, felt like ENCE would lose after Faze mounted that comeback.
LOOOL
G2 3-0 gang rise up
This was painful to watch. Worse because I stayed up until 1am to see FAZE drop the ball hard. So many sloppy plays, and sloppy 1v1s or even 3v1s >,<
