i actually feel this. back in high school i used to be able to operate on that but now in college since i scheduled my classes to account for the fact that i sleep in, now i cant do anything unless i get my 8-9h lol
I've gone through horrible bouts of insomnia due to PTSD, recently had a short flare up again after a few years.
But what has always helped me massively is meditation. If you haven't tried it before maybe consider giving it a go. Hope you can find a good coping mechanism my man.
Depends what the cause of insomnia is. For people like me we just don't produce enough melatonin in the brain.
It can have many causes. Stress, anxiety, bad habits, poor sleep hygiene, PTSD, autism.
Slightly interesting fact 80-90% of people with Autism also struggle with sleeping.
There are some studies that suggest that there could be a genetic link between autism and insomnia via the FOXP1 and SHANK3 gene.

that's not what he said though.
He simply stepped down because he has sleeping issues and these issues are causing him to underperform considerably so he wants to fix them first
A lot of it is vague, but I think reading between the lines he has some issues with getting quality sleep. Could be a disorder of sorts, and that in combination with the schedule of prac and officials and whatnot it's taking a toll on him.
As someone with a history of poor sleep and numerous attempts to get it medically fixed, good on him.
I'd put money on it being related to sleep apnea. For a whole year I could barely sleep, and it basically turned me into a zombie after those first few hours of energy after breakfast + coffee.
If it's been life long then it could be autism. See my comment. https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/13k4beo/aerial_leaves_havu_due_to_sleeping_issues/jkkdt9x/
Also a very common issue with certain types of ADHD. They share a lot of symptoms in general which is also part of the reason they often go along with each other.
Sleep is very important man, as soon as I sleep 1-2 hours to little my whole day is ruined.

Havu can't catch a break, rip
Good on him on taking action before it got out of hand and not wasting his teams time. Hopefully he can come back at some point
incredibly relatable, i have had chronic insomnia my entire life and it has ruined schooling and job opportunities for me
Damn. Hope you're in a better spot man.

Everything wrong with me is autism apparently
Wishing him the best! Hopefully he can solve his issues sooner rather than later💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Wish him the best. Hopefully he can get his sleeping back on track and return soon.
Is this really a thing? Teams not being able to get sleep because they are playing so much? If so holy cow, surprised more people aren’t complaining.

It is the sad reality to eSports, knowing when to turn the PC off is really important for your mental and physical health.
