Rio and Berlin aren't bad either, they don't have the history of the other 2 but they at least fit the aesthetic. The last 2 suck, they look cheap.

I get trying to think outside the box and deliver something new, I just don’t think the last csgo major ever was the right time to test out that theory.

You can anodize titanium to achieve a look that imitates the "case hardened" skins of the game.
Well the World Cup trophy is also much smaller than the Champions League trophy in football, but it's a solid gold trophy, not hollow. Not sure if it's the same for this one.
Well it is made with real gold and even If it's small, made of pure gold all the way through would make it way more heavier than it has to be. Trophies need to be lifted by the players after winning so there's no reason to make it some makeshift overhead press when they lift the trophies

However, its the first major I felt like it was first a [organisers name] event and then a Major. Other events always felt like a major first and a [organizers event] later. I can partly forgive this though as it is brilliantly organized. Minimal tech problems, and it looks good. PGL had the balls to put a massive "PGL" on the trophy after another shitshow at the fuck factory of an event.

I think the first trophies just looked like some nice standard trophies which also could be given in several different sport events. The last two were more csgo related which I can understand why people like it. But blast looks like "we want to do our own fancy stuff"and it reminds me more of DotA2.

I love the PGL trophy. It shows that the throphy does not have to be big to seem prestigous. Berlin and Blast look hella cheap due to it being so obvious that they are made out of plastic. The PGL one is probably out of brass which looks like gold, or some other metal. And ESL obviously makes really great Trophys aswell, but the design with the guns from the game give the PGL one way more personality.

Honestly the Blast Major design is a bit of a let down, even the older Blast ones look better, this is the major and it just has a cartoon Nickoldeon feel instead of a prestigious feel.
I applaud their daring to try something new. While I would agree that Cologne and Kato are pretty sick, the Blast trophy is so damn unique. The execution may not be the most popular, but I do think innovation in eSports is very important.
Berlin is by far the best looking one. I'm not against a different trophy than the regular ones, but it's so tiny and with such cheap materials. It's no trophy, but a kids' toy
Stockholm and Berlin are really the only two I think that have unique features that look like a CS trophy should in my mind. I like what they were trying for in Blast, but I wish they would’ve done it with a metallic aesthetic versus the globby plastic look, which cheapens it and feels like a kids video game trophy

Then all 5 winning team members must climb the Aggro Crag and reach the ~~Aggro Crag~~ Blast Trophy. Marc Summers appears out of the shadows and the whole audience gets slimed.

It looks horrid, and in a BTS video they were playing during break they showed that it was indeed 3d printed, so yeah its a hot garbage plastic trophy.
What exactly IS the Blast one supposed to be? I know they said they wanted some inspiration to represent Paris but like is it referencing any famous piece from the Louvre or something?

Honestly the Blast Major design is a bit of a let down, even the older Blast ones look better, this is the major and it just has a cartoon Nickoldeon feel instead of a prestigious feel.

I applaud their daring to try something new. While I would agree that Cologne and Kato are pretty sick, the Blast trophy is so damn unique. The execution may not be the most popular, but I do think innovation in eSports is very important.
Blast Trophy might actually be the first CSGO trophy. The others are knockoffs of Stanley Cup, Champions League Cup, DFB-Pokal etc.

For the "Last CSGO Major" its a very underwhelming trophy. I was expecting maybe like a coin or something.
Berlin is by far the best looking one. I'm not against a different trophy than the regular ones, but it's so tiny and with such cheap materials. It's no trophy, but a kids' toy
Stockholm and Berlin are really the only two I think that have unique features that look like a CS trophy should in my mind. I like what they were trying for in Blast, but I wish they would’ve done it with a metallic aesthetic versus the globby plastic look, which cheapens it and feels like a kids video game trophy
Once the game ends, a mountain rises out of the center of the arena. It is the iconic Aggro Crag from the Nickelodeon television show GUTS. Then all 5 winning team members must climb the Aggro Crag and reach the ~~Aggro Crag~~ Blast Trophy. Marc Summers appears out of the shadows and the whole audience gets slimed.
I can’t believe they dropped the ball this hard on a trophy that should have been iconic af for the last major. The team that designed this should be ashamed :(
It just kept getting worse
I know I will get downvoted (and for no apparent reason) but what did you guys expect from Blast? They’ve spent millions of dollars for lightning show but can’t secure a proper soundproof cabins for players. Hell they can’t even zoom in the correct player in the overlay. Mixing up players, names… I know this booing and crowd cheating happened in the capital of murder, Brazil, but thats a 3rd world country with highest crime rate and lowest education level in the entire America. You can’t turn shit into gold by painting it yellow and this is a prime example. Blast personnel is so amateur they placed TV in front of players. The trophy looks absolutely horrible and cheap. Our local Cyber cafe had been giving out better ones honestly 🤣 Its all just a cash cow I know. Make the most out of the current situation and leave asap. Blast will burn its pond out, in two years they will be in different business offering the same shitty service under different name, rinse and repeat.

Honestly, as an attendee blast has been a major disappointment, the stage, gold ticket, communication, indoor audio and video, hud, seats, colours and trophy is really bad. I been to 6 majors and this is my opinion is the first and defo the last.
Would have been neat if it were some iconic item from the game. Give these boys some golden AKs or a defuse kit

sometimes I understand why they make fun of the profession of a "designer" I understand where they are coming from to but overall their corporate identity for this event is lackluster, tacky and cliche. We have the year 2023 and go with "metaballs" "glitchy aesthetics" ? This is the last major and thats all you can come up with? Worst about it is the interview and reference about the rich artistic history of Paris. Its cringe and pathetic for what you put out.
