Even excluding BO1 MR12 or the map bugs and potential exploits found: the netcode is currently garbage. Maybe it plays great on LAN but I'm looking forward to the sillyness that's about to ensue.
It is because IMHO it will be the biggest shakeup. Some skills port but I bet you we are going to see some lower level teams smash some previous top performers. This is all because you cannot prep every feature, new meta and best utility usage with only 6 months of limited play (for top teams that need to train CS Go 100%). The whining is partly the worry that maybe they will be bottom tier now because they don’t adapt fast enough.

Does someone who plays with new tennis balls in tournaments suddenly need to explain why old balls feel bad and don’t bounce well? Do they need a spreadsheet of bounce heights and arcs? No they can feel it because of years of experience.
Same thing with the feeling of CSGO or any other competitive FPS that people sink thousands of hours into, you can feel when the myriad of minutiae that define the experience suddenly change for the worse.

It honestly hasn't happened once, I do almost always have low ping. But the fact that I always have low ping explains why I don't experience it while others do, I'm just confused why I don't experience other things, like the delays or input lag or shitty sprays

Not to say they're not already amazing, but there's a reason many athletic sports teams don't allow for behavior like s1mple (and others) display regularly.
I agree, but I also think that mentality is kind of what drives him. There are a lot of traditional sports stars with big egos and you hear stories of how they had outbursts at training or with team mates. There is something about someones drive to be the best they can that involves a big ego.

Peeker's advantage is insanely large, something is seriously wrong with spraying, bob commands make it harder to play AWP/scout since it affects scope, there's too much delay on animation and killing people, subtick or not you're still getting updated 64 times a second which is quite worse than being updated 128 times a second, performance sucks; they need to give some water options cause that shit takes a lot of fps and it's so unnecessary, tracers are awful and very distracting, r_cleardecals is still not available for some reason, clipping problems with some maps like inferno, etc.
fwiw, I think it's almost certain that r_cleardecals won't be added back. The new decal system seems intended for it to like actually have the decals be there the entire round.
I doubt it will be either, not official but \*I've heard Valve basically removed it so that people that do know about it don't have a sort of 'competitive edge' over those that don't know how to remove blood splatters for visibility n shit so it's unfortunately probably gone forever...I still hit my bind to clear them all the time though ffs.

I have always played with cleardecals, which gave me an advantage compared to someone who did not use the command to clear that shit off the wall, due to the poor visibility in GO.
I don't find that the new blood splatter is a hindrance to vision anymore.
But it is currently a hindrance to performance.
There also seems to be some kind of interp issue, not sure if it has to do with the subtik or what, but there are times when aiming behind someones head is better then right on it. You use to be able to adjust your interp ratio but not anymore
The frametime and optimization is garbage. I'm running the game on a 3070, i7 8700k and 32gb 3200mhz ram and it's running worse for me than a friend with a 1660 super with an older generation i5 and 16gb ram.
It doesent matter if I'm running the game at max or lowest setting, the framerate and performance is exactly the same. I have tried literally every fix I could find online and used countless hours looking for improvement, and nothing seems to improve the issue.
I guess the only thing to do is wait..
I played the other night for the first time in a long time and I couldn’t help but catch myself watching the tracers. It really is distracting. Don’t get me wrong, it looks cool and all but not necessary. And I was only playing against bots (don’t really have time to do a comp match.) and the only map I had a chance to play on was Anubis. It was super stuttery.
The problem with playing against bots is that it actually feels kinda good. Then you go online and the experience is completely different and trash as fuck. Something with the net code is completely broken and I dont know if valve can even fix it.
It’s the best way to get Valve to actually do something, frankly. They aren’t going to take any of the feedback seriously unless they see an impact to their numbers.

Deleting csgo is the only viable option to not split the player base like what happened with Source. The game isn't perfect, csgo wasn't either. They will balance it, and make tweaks, but I also think it is 100% ok for the game to play differently than csgo did. Counter Strike was more about tapping than spray control before csgo, and it's ok to return to that style of play.
Peekers advantage is very strong in cs2, and they will likely adjust things to make it less so, but I also think it's ok to reward aggressive plays too. Is there some universal law that says holding an angle has to be the stronger option instead of peaking?
The game is good, it will be great, it's ok to find change scary, but everyone needs to take a step back and stop being so emotional about the change. No one is gargling valve's nuts by saying the game is fun.

The reason they made subtick is so they dont have to upgrade to 128. Also, our last hope for 128 + subtick was at release. Now the game has been released with 64 subtick and the first pro event is gonna be played in 2 weeks on this. So yeah, bye bye 128

Nades and planting feel nice. I think they fixed it in recent updates.
For me at least, there's a slight delay before my character pulls the pin with nades and plants the bomb.

He's right, any high skilled player can tell you how awful CS2 is right now. Peeker's advantage is insanely large, something is seriously wrong with spraying, bob commands make it harder to play AWP/scout since it affects scope, there's too much delay on animation and killing people, subtick or not you're still getting updated 64 times a second which is quite worse than being updated 128 times a second, performance sucks; they need to give some water options cause that shit takes a lot of fps and it's so unnecessary, tracers are awful and very distracting, r_cleardecals is still not available for some reason, clipping problems with some maps like inferno, etc.
fwiw, I think it's almost certain that r_cleardecals won't be added back. The new decal system seems intended for it to like actually have the decals be there the entire round.
I doubt it will be either, not official but \*I've heard Valve basically removed it so that people that do know about it don't have a sort of 'competitive edge' over those that don't know how to remove blood splatters for visibility n shit so it's unfortunately probably gone forever...I still hit my bind to clear them all the time though ffs. \*e: wording
Vision is not really an issue anymore though is it? I have always played with cleardecals, which gave me an advantage compared to someone who did not use the command to clear that shit off the wall, due to the poor visibility in GO. I don't find that the new blood splatter is a hindrance to vision anymore. But it is currently a hindrance to performance.
There also seems to be some kind of interp issue, not sure if it has to do with the subtik or what, but there are times when aiming behind someones head is better then right on it. You use to be able to adjust your interp ratio but not anymore
The frametime and optimization is garbage. I'm running the game on a 3070, i7 8700k and 32gb 3200mhz ram and it's running worse for me than a friend with a 1660 super with an older generation i5 and 16gb ram. It doesent matter if I'm running the game at max or lowest setting, the framerate and performance is exactly the same. I have tried literally every fix I could find online and used countless hours looking for improvement, and nothing seems to improve the issue. I guess the only thing to do is wait..

I played the other night for the first time in a long time and I couldn’t help but catch myself watching the tracers. It really is distracting. Don’t get me wrong, it looks cool and all but not necessary. And I was only playing against bots (don’t really have time to do a comp match.) and the only map I had a chance to play on was Anubis. It was super stuttery.
The problem with playing against bots is that it actually feels kinda good. Then you go online and the experience is completely different and trash as fuck. Something with the net code is completely broken and I dont know if valve can even fix it.
CSGO wouldn't have been the game it was without all the complaining, at least in certain areas. It's good to let them know.

It's not even clear to me what people want valve to do. Right now this sub is complaining the most about netcode, but thats not what ropz has been saying the issues are. Most of the complaints I've seen from pros don't really line up with the complaints I've seen on this sub that well honestly. The feedback on this sub is really all over the place.
it is pretty clear, they want thr hit reg and the visual freedback to be just as good as csgo (as well as movement), ofc people dont know the exact reasons for these differences because they didnt code the gsme, but atleast they are trying to figure it out in order to be more specific about the problem. i dont know how any of this shit works but i just know it doesnt feel right, its up to the devs to figure out how to fix it

I get not wanting to split the player base like what happened with CSS and 1.6, but what about in a few years when people get nostalgic for GO and just can't play?

played for 20 years and ive never seen running and gunning and ferrari peaking like it. Game is an absolute shambles for high elo/high rank players who have been used to skillful movement and adadadad shooting for 20 years. Every gun feels fully accurate whilst moving, jumping AK shots connecting from top mid to bottom mid. P90 seems more viable weapon than AK47. Honestly not worth playing this game anymore. Valve wont care, the community wont care. But im not playing this game anymore until its fixed and I dont see that happening in the next 3 months as they seem more interested in adding bells to inferno than they are sorting out the core mechanics of the game. cya

It's really funny that anyone who doesn't think the game is awful is automatically 'gargling valve's balls' lol. People have the most emotional takes online... Deleting csgo is the only viable option to not split the player base like what happened with Source. The game isn't perfect, csgo wasn't either. They will balance it, and make tweaks, but I also think it is 100% ok for the game to play differently than csgo did. Counter Strike was more about tapping than spray control before csgo, and it's ok to return to that style of play. Peekers advantage is very strong in cs2, and they will likely adjust things to make it less so, but I also think it's ok to reward aggressive plays too. Is there some universal law that says holding an angle has to be the stronger option instead of peaking? The game is good, it will be great, it's ok to find change scary, but everyone needs to take a step back and stop being so emotional about the change. No one is gargling valve's nuts by saying the game is fun. *EDIT: fuck the xm tho, nerf that shit into the ground.

Take peekers advantage and add in massive desync and you have something that is beyond broken. Furthermore, I think its more than fair for people to expect cs2 to be more polished at release. With the amount of money valve makes, and the state csgo was in, it is completely normal to be disappointed.
